To the Tom Hiddleston haters…… fuck you, actually seriously fuck you. My love for him died down a lot after the TS hype and publicity shit but seriously, the man is out there doing good charity work and he slightly fumbles about with a speech and it comes out slightly awkward and people find a way to make it a “fuck him, he sucks, fucking white people” thing? I bet 90% of the people throwing shit his way about this don’t do charity work. I SINCERELY doubt everyone calling him out on his speech are going to Africa several times a year to help out with UNICEF and other charities. Sit down and go and have a go at someone who really is being racist and disrespectful and using their power to spread messages of inequality and hate. I’m so fucking tired of everyone on this site acting as if they are godly saints and have never said something that could remotely be taken the wrong way.
Don’t get me wrong, inequality is a huge deal, especially in Hollywood, and it really, really needs to be addressed (seriously La la land won above Moonlight, wtf Hollywood) but the man spends half his life doing charity work and some of you ONLY choose to bring up one speech that could be interpreted as slightly rude and self-centered? Why even bother doing good if the one thing you fail on is gonna be the only thing anyone ever wants to throw back at you?
