Life Is Strange as a Multistory game
I think LIS should have been a multi-story game like Detroit:Become Human.
It all depends on who you have Max focus on.
If you focus on Chloe, we get the same game we know and love. Only the ending isn’t a complete copout. Max actually uses the photo to save Chloe and the town. Warns David and David barges in and catches Nathan redhanded with the gun and uncovers the truth of Rachel, Kate and Jefferson. Max warns the town of the storm. Everyone listens. After Jefferson’s arrest, the police clears the bunker of Jefferson’s predatory display and the town hides in the bunker. The town is rebuilt. Jefferson and Sean are rotting in prison and Nathan is getting the help he desperately needed. Chloe finally moves on from her hatred of David and the Price family gets to start over. It ends on Rachel’s funeral and the final scene shows the Doe spirit as both Max and Chloe smile as Rachel’s spirit finally rests.
If you focus on Kate, you get to help Kate through the worst moment in her life, help her uncover the truth and get justice for her. Form a relationship with Kate and Max kills Jefferson “that was for Kate you son of a bitch” Max finds out Kate was able to leave town just in time. The ending above is the same as the Chloe scenario, only with Max and Kate together.
If you focus on Warren, cute nerds lol but Warren would help Max and Chloe uncover the truth of what happened to Rachel and Kate. Warren brings David and Samuel(I feel like Samuel was meant to go with David but his plot was dropped entirely) to help and save Max. Warren has the photo in hand and Max is able to save Chloe and the town. Ends with Max and Warren going ape lol
If you focus on Victoria and choose comfort, you get to see a softer side to Victoria, she opens up and learns the way she was treating Max and Victoria was shitty, makes amends and you get to pursue a friendship or something more. Both Max and Victoria go on photoshoot dates and both try and better themselves as photographers. With Max and Vic being friends, I can see Victoria getting Nathan to apologize to Max, Chloe, Warren and Kate and have them all members of the Vortex Club. Victoria’s edge helps Max feel more confident about her skills and helps her put out her work and helps her enter her photo. When they discover the truth about Rachel, Victoria is horrified. “I hated her, but she did not deserve this, no one did. Poor Kate” Together they uncover the truth of Jefferson, at first Victoria can’t believe it until she sees both their names on folders. “Max…Mark is targeting us….we cannot go to the party tonight…oh god, Nathan is in danger” their only purpose in going to the party is trying to save Nathan…that is until they are both spotted by Jefferson. “The winner of the everyday hero contest is…oh my, it’s a tie! Max Caulfield and Victoria Chase!” After they give their speech, they are stalked and drugged by Jefferson. Together they are able to escape, overcome their trauma and kill Jefferson.
If you focus on Nathan you get to come out of hiding in the bathroom and talk to him calmly. It works and Nathan does not accidentally shoots Chloe, when Chloe enters the bathroom, Nathan will say “you’ll get your money and I’m sorry” and results in a earlier and more awkward Max and Chloe reunion lol Max’s kindness and calm demeanor helps bring out a a more calm and soft side of Nathan. This results in pursuing a friendship and something more with Nathan, this will also result in Nathan and Victoria burying Kate’s video and making amends and Max, Chloe, Kate and Warren being accepted into the Vortex Club. We get to see Max helping Nathan with his family issues and Nathan tells Max about Jefferson Rachel, Kate and the Dark Room and having Max and Nathan bringing Jefferson down and using Max’s rewind power and Nathan’s visions to stopping the storm
The ideal true ending is to have Max, Chloe, Kate, Warren, Victoria and Nathan to all be hella best friends, appear to honor Rachel at her funeral and move on from the trauma caused by Jefferson and also for Jeffershit to die a horrible death in each scenario.
