Would love to know who is back there.

The horn players like to wander off stage, taking all the attention with them, until they realize if they get too far, they can’t stay in time/rhythm, and then they all turn around to look at me onstage to figure out where the beat REALLY is.

Tight spaces leave less angles.

Fucking music stand.

I swear I am back there.

And people wonder why I enjoy trios.

I’ve always been in bands with too many people. At least one always stands in front of me. The best photographs of the drummer (or, me) are the ones where photographer realizes this.
