she was the kind of girl who was a chaos of contradictions from one second to the next, for her mind was never free. sometimes bright like the sun, sometimes calm like the moon, sometimes stormy like the ocean, and sometimes all three. kate bishop
‘ either way, leaving your house in this day and age without your phone, without your credit cards, that’s already a death sentence. you can’t do that. ’ ( from alice )

‘Look it’s not like I meant to leave them.’ Kate was not pouting. She wasn’t. She just had her arms crossed and her bottom lip might have been jutting out, but only just a little. It wasn’t pouting. It was just… A moue. A petulant moue. Not a pout. ‘Look, this is serious. Someone could have died. And I’d never know, because I don’t have my phone. And I’m broke.’ Dramatic? Maybe. Was she above petty, theatrical dramatics? Not really. ‘C’mon, you’ve gotta help me out. Isn’t that like, girl code or something? You wouldn’t leave a poor, possibly grieving girl hanging, would you?’
‘ i assure you in like half of the places you’ve been, people have died there. people have probably died in the chipotle we just ate at. ’ - Oberyn Martell ( @rcdviper )

‘Jesus, dude.’ Kate couldn’t help but reply, brows raised and the curve of her lips resting somewhere between amused and perplexed. Look, Kate knew plenty of odd types in her life, she owned and operated an archery supply and range in this weirdo city, she’d seen just about everything, but this guy was something else entirely. ‘Anybody ever tell you that you could use a chill pill? Or like, the whole bottle?‘
DISNEY PRINCESSES / HEROINES STARTER SENTENCES — ft. @irresistiibles
‘Wait, what? Whoa, hey!‘ Kate’s reaction was nothing short of one of those Sunday morning comic strips in the paper; Eyes wide, hands waving around relentlessly, looking nothing less than ridiculous. ‘Look, let’s not do anything rash, okay?‘ She was well aware she sounded like the protagonist cop in a detective dramedy during one of those tense stand-off scenes, but she was also well aware of the sink only a few feet away and her dread at having to possibly watch her third forth cup of the day slip down the drain. ‘Let’s just talk about this, alright? We can figure something out!’

DEATH OF A BACHELOR STARTER MEME - ft. ( @hawkinshackcr )
Look, Kate runs an archery supply and range, ( one she’s really proud of, thank you very much ) so she’s used to some interesting types. Archery brought in all sorts of types, from adventurous families to frat bros who wanted to look cool, from loud-mouthed, bearded, flannel adorned men to shy, quiet girls who hit the bullseye every time. The latter being her favorite, obviously. Anyway, her point, Kate has heard some weird things, and this one probably makes top five. Or top ten, at least. ‘Is this how the kids greet each other nowadays? Man, I was just getting used to yeet, and now I gotta learn this too?’
darla sense the presence of the other before they were even close and in an instance, turned around. a playful smirk twitched on her lips. “today is so boring,” she said, hoping to entice the other into conversation. “do you want to play with me?” her voice was sickly sweet and the words fell from her mouth like honey.
Kate raised an eyebrow, expression growing hesitant the moment the blonde opened her mouth. It wasn’t particularly that she was suspicious of strangers, but this one in particular made her pause. She sensed— well she didn’t know what exactly, but she proceeded with caution. Or as much caution that was normal for Kate, anyway. ‘Look, lady, I don’t know what you want, and I’m pretty sure I don’t want to know, but I’ve got a taser and I can absolutely kick butt if you try anything weird.’
A grin appeared on Kate’s face almost instantly at the question. Not the lazy smirk she wore more often than not. Not the forced smile she plastered on for customers. It was a real smile, that rare kind that met her eyes, that dimpled her cheeks, that brightened her whole face. Genuine. ‘Billy Kaplan.’ Kate announced matter-of-factly, like there was no other possible answer she could have replied with. And really, there wasn’t. ‘I love that kid a disgusting amount. I mean, don’t tell anyone I said that, obviously, I need to keep my street cred, but—’ Kate’s grin softened into a fond smile. ‘I’d go to the ends of the earth for him.’
❝ Excuse me, Katie, when exactly did you lose your soul? ❞
THAT 70′S SHOW PROMPTS — ft. @egoburned
A single eyebrow rose at the question, but Kate showed no other sign of acknowledgement. For a moment she just stared, gaze somewhere between competitive and disinterested. Licking her lips, she dragged her gaze down to her forearm, tapping on her wrist as if a watch was adorning it, though nothing wrested over the joint. ‘Oh, five months, three weeks, and six days ago.’ The boredom in her features disappeared, replaced with a lazy smirk. ‘But who’s counting?’
Was that [CAMILA MENDES]? Oh no no, that was just [KATE BISHOP], a [CANON CHARACTER] from [MARVEL]. They are [22] years old and [ARE NOT] aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long.
how long has your character been here?
kate was born and raised in new york, a true city girl st heart. and after years of private schools and stuffy galas and black tie dinners, she packed her bags and headed for the capitol, not much more than a hastily stuffed duffle bag and a three day old high school diploma stuffed in her barely used car. her parents more or less supported the decision, more because they knew there was no stopping her. that was four years ago, and she hasn’t looked back.
what is your character's job?
appalled by the city’s lack of local archery options, and her affinity for the sport, kate managed to convince her dad to loan her enough to open up a place of her own. half archery range, half tactical shop, kate’s three years into the shop and loves her little corner of archer heaven.

while kate’s d.c. background is vaguely reminiscent of her original background, it’s mostly general things — new york raised, comes from a wealthy family, interest in archery — any of her storylines don’t apply to her life here. yet.
she’s still the same old kate though, loves coffee, pizza, dogs, and sarcasm. can also still kick your butt, in or out of her shop. boss babe through and through.
