All Seven Brothers X Witch OC CH.3
Small Note: I do not own these characters. If I did it would be Deadpool level of raunchiness😘
The guys gathered in Solon’s room before classes discussing the dog problem.
“If rumors start spreading and Ophelia ends up hearing them she will hate us forever,” Heli said.
“Its not even fair, we only drink blood once a year on that day,” Noa replied.
“All the more reason to stay away from her. We can’t trust her, she isn’t one of us,” the others solemnly agreed with Solon’s statement.
Even though Shion had agreed to steer clear of Ophelia; he was never one to blindly follow orders. So as they departed the room Shion’s quietness set the group on edge. He was only ever this quiet if he was plotting something or he was taking the news of ignoring Ophelia really hard. It was a short lived silence when Shion spotted the blue haired beauty and beelined to her faster than his brothers could stop him.
“Hey Ophelia, would you like to hang out this weekend? We could go tour the town, eat ice cream, cause some chaos,” Shion's upbeat attitude was infectious.
“It sounds amazing, I’ve never had friends to hang out with so I don’t know how much fun I will be…” Ophelia looked sad at the thought of her past.
It was then that the others began piling onto Shino’s idea offering themselves while Solon scoffed in the background mumbling about idiots and traitors. Heli patted his shoulder and joined the commotion. They planned to meet up at 5 and explore the town.
Ophelia was over the moon with the invitation. She could hardly sit still in class and a smile was permanently stuck to her face, thinking about what outfit she should wear wondering what the guys would like to see her in. The intrusive thought startled her; she thought about all seven of them taking her on a date, when she realized that was insane. She has never had a friend let alone a romantic interest. Yes she has fooled around with guys but it's never been more than a drunken kiss to steal their wallets.
She decided she would meditate and work through her feelings before their hangout this weekend. When Ophelia made it back to her dorm she began to set up the mat and altar, she never kept her witchcraft tools out even though no one could enter her room she wasn’t taking the chance of another witch invading her privacy. She changed into soft shorts and a large cotton shirt. As she sat down crosslegged and began her breathing exercises. Ophelia slowly sank into her consciousness feeling the bright power within her. It was her magic flowing through her body. The feeling was extraordinary and maddening at the same time, she has seen what her power can do and has no fear of the murders happening.
Ophelia has always taken care of herself, there was never anyone to rely on, but now she had friends who wanted to spend time with her. She probably confused her feelings for trust and friendship, there was no way she could like all seven of them like that, right?
The weekend came and Ophelia was waiting at the meeting spot. She decided on a light blue sundress and curled her long blue locks and had a silver flower crown with matching sandals. Ophelia had splurged on herself and bought a new outfit for the occasion. When Shion spotted her from a distance he was speechless. She looked like an angel, the dress hugged her curves showcasing her beautiful body and the smile on her face sent shivers down his spine.
Him and his brothers don’t have much experience with women, they have always prioritized their secret over anything else. Romance let alone friendship is something they have never experienced outside of their brotherhood. But this moment Shion understood everything those sappy cliche books talked about. He calmed his blush and put on his happy go lucky persona.
“Ophelia over here,” he yelled, alerting the pretty girl to his location.
“Hey there Shion it's good to see you, are the others right behind you?” she asked, tilting her head inquistively.
“Something came up and they had to cancel, but I'm here and we are going to have a lot of fun today. What would you like to do first?” he asked.
“Well I am new to this town so I'm relying on you to show me all the cool spots,” Ophelia said, pushing down her sad feelings about the others and decided to enjoy her time with the energetic blonde.
They roamed the streets with Shion making funny quips that had Ophelia rolling with laughter. One of the shops ahead caught Ophelia’s attention. The sign said apothecary but she recognized the symbols on the window as the ancient language from her oldest grimoires. The symbols mean safe for witches. She was so happy she upped her pace starling Shion.
“Oh are you not feeling well, we can go home if you like,” Shion asked, worry evident in his voice.
Ophelia didn’t think about how it would look to Shion if she came out with a bunch of herbs and books. But she didn’t know when she would get another opportunity to come here freely. She had to think of something.
“No I just need to grab some…girly stuff,” Ophelia said quickly.
Shion's face blushed bright red and stuttered out a sure and Ophelia ducked inside. The store looked normal with modern medicine lining the shelves; there were no witchcraft materials anywhere.
“Can I help you Miss,” an older woman said as she emerged from a curtained back room.
“Yes, actually the ruins in your window are witchcraft, correct?” Ophelia spoke with a confidence that caused a small smile to appear on the older woman's face.
“Welcome sister please follow me,” she led Ophelia behind the curtain door.
The room was darker, the only light being candles and the natural light from the few windows. The room was filled with old books and glass jars holding herbs, it had everything from talismans to charms.
“Wow you have a lovely shop,” Ophelia said, too wrapped up in the new environment.
“Would you like a reading from the cards, on the house for a sweet girl,” the woman already had her cards spread out on the counter.
Ophelia made her way over to the shopkeeper already aware of the process. She selected three cards and the older woman put the rest back into the deck. The shopkeeper turned over the first card and smiled.
“You are blessed with love, I’m guessing multiple suitors,” the blush on Ophelia’s face was all the confirmation the older woman needed.
The next card was turned over.
“You will be faced with liars and caught at a crossroads of major change. You may have to put your beliefs on the line,” Ophelia was taken aback.
‘Liars, change, beliefs,’ Ophelia thought.
The last card drew a gasp from the shopkeeper.
“Your life is in danger. A danger so dark even I can’t give you more to go on, I’m sorry,” the older witch apologized while Ophelia shook her head.
“Thank you for the reading, it is not often I see one of our kind out and about,” even though the news shocked Ophelia she wasn’t going to take out her fear on the nice shopkeeper.
The shopkeeper seemed surprised at the young woman's attitude. The shopkeeper held up a waiting finger while she looked around in the drawers below the counter. She popped back up with a small box in her hand.
“This talisman is all I can offer you. It is said to be soaked in the blood of a 1000 witches, so it is quite powerful to draw from, however the power is potent. You must be decisive when you use it or you won’t be able to draw power from it. This is all I can offer for your journey ahead,” the shopkeeper passed the box to Ophelia.
When Ophelia opened it she saw a beautiful silver chain holding a dark red pendant. She couldn’t tell if the gem was a ruby or if the necklace had actually been soaked with blood. It didn’t matter to Ophelia because as soon as she laid eyes on it, she knew it was meant to be hers. She closed the box and placed it in her purse. She also grabbed her wallet but the older witch shook her head.
“My gift to the new generation, it's about time we change hands. If you ever need anything my shop will always be open to you,” Ophelia spent a little more time in the shop before going back out to meet Shino.
“Hey did you find what you needed?” Shino asked.
“I did thanks for waiting, now you were saying something about ice cream,” Ophelia asked while wrapping herself around Shino's extended gentlemanly arm.
He blushed and began walking in the direction of the next destination. Soon the two were sitting at a fountain enjoying a mountain of ice cream when Ophelia began to speak.
“Thank you for today Shion, I have never had any friends or family so this means a lot you invited me out. I know if the others were busy you probably were too, so thanks for making time for me. It’s been an amazing day,” Ophelia said with honesty in her blue eyes.
Shion was speechless, his feelings for her only grew with the time he spent with her. But the voices of his brothers suddenly appeared yelling at him about switching the times. It was at this moment Heli began telepathically talking to Ophelia.
“Sorry for being late Ophelia but the others and I are heading to the town now, if you will still have us,” he asked smoothly.
“Of course we would love for you to join, but I thought you were busy,” Ophelia replied with her thoughts.
“I am never too busy for you Ophelia,” that last statement caused her heart to flutter.
Shino suddenly stood up and declared he was buying tickets for a boat ride and claimed he would be back soon. As soon as he was out of sight, Ophelia felt someone watching her with malicious intent. Ophelia grew up homeless and on the streets she learned to never doubt her instincts. She threw the unfinished ice cream away and headed in the direction Shion went to.
The presence followed her as she made her way down the windy sidewalks. When suddenly she was pulled into an alley. A strange grey almost inhuman being grabbed her arm hissing. Without thinking Ophelia blasted him with a bright glow of reddish energy. The creature flew backwards hitting the wall. But before she could react another one grabbed her from behind. Its strength crushed her against its body. Before she could react the creature was pulled away, his head smashing into the wall. Ophelia fell to the ground trying to catch her breath when she glanced up seeing Shion with a look of pure hatred on his features.
“Ophelia, are you hurt,” he asked, picking her up from the ground, setting her back on her feet.
“I’m fine better now that you are here,” their moment was interrupted by another monster gripping Shion's shoulder.
Shion shook him off and began dodging his attacks while the first creature began to stand up. Ophelia knew at this moment there was no more hiding she was gonna use every power she had to protect her friend. Ophelia took a deep breath and an unsettling red glow covered her body, her energy surrounding her like a shield. When she opened her eyes they were the same shade as the glow.
She raised her palm and blasted the vile creature with more energy than before. The thing was dead that much she was sure of now. Shion also finished off his opponent, he was speechless at the sight of his beautiful classmate. Before she could explain, a hoard of the monsters showed up. But before they could do anything a flash of silver cut through the crowd taking a few out in its path.
It was Jakah who quickly took notice of the growing crowd and the glowing girl. Ophelia was surprised to see such speed from a supposed human
“Give us the girl and we will leave you all alone, come on she can’t be worth much to you lot,” the gross creature spoke in a raspy tone.
Shion and Jakah stood protectively in front of Ophelia.
“Over our dead bodies you villians,” Jakah said venom lacing his voice.
The hoard of monsters began their assault. Ophelia was blasting their bodies with her energy, while Jakah and Shion used brute force and speed to end them. One by one the other brothers showed up and started attacking as well. Every single one of them had the same thought, Ophelia was a dangerously beautiful goddess. They understood why she kept her powers a secret. They also had their secrets that no one else knew.
As they continued to fight all using their powers a deeper bond formed between this mixed group of vampires and witches. It was as if they were performing a routine they have known for decades. Soon all of the monsters were defeated, and silence enveloped the environment. The dance was over, the music of battle had died down, all that was left were eight yearning souls who found resonance with one and another.
“I’m a witch, the spells, pointy hats, flying brooms and all. No one has ever gotten close enough for me to tell. I had to though I couldn’t let those beasts hurt you all, not when you have been so nice. Though I will say finding out you have powers too was a bit of relief,” Ophelia said lightly rubbing her wrists together.
The guys all let out a sigh of relief when suddenly and unexpectedly Solon grabbed Ophelia and pulled her into his chest, his body wrapping around hers like a starving lover. The rest of the guys were stunned into silence by the vulnerability their usual stoic brother just showed.
“Are you hurt at all,” Solon asked, pulling her out of his chest to glance at her face.
“I’m all good thanks to you all, I was so relieved when you showed up. What are those things, do we know,” she asked comfortably warm in Solon's embrace.
“Hey don’t hog her, it's my turn for a hug,” Shion whined while Solon let his grip slip around the girl to yell at his blonde goofball brother.
Heli stepped forth wrapping his arm around Ophelia’s waist and pulled her into his side. Ophelia was startled at first but melted when Heli spoke lowly next to her ear.
“They were vampires, but they shouldn’t be able to walk out during the day. They also shouldn’t be able to speak let alone demand things,” he said his arm was colder than Solon’s but still as comforting.
“What did they want from Ophelia,” Shion asked.
“Doesn’t matter they won’t lay a hand on her,” Jaan spoke with a deep confidence that caused shivers from Ophelia.
The notion was seen by all seven brothers but before anyone else could speak Ophelia said a shocking statement.
“So guess none of us are fully human,” referencing their use of super powers in the fight.
She knew Heli had telepathy due to him revealing it after the run in with the trespassers. Suddenly loud steps in a group were approaching the group, they began preparing for more enemies but were relieved to see it was the group of trespassers. Ophelia took a moment to see the result of the battle; her crown was askew, hair ruffled from quick movements, her dress dirtied and torn from dodging attacks, she was also the most exhausted she has ever been. Ophelia would have to train more on offensive magic if she were to get stronger.
The bluenette’s thoughts were interrupted by a large warm hand cupping her cheek, it was Khan. The obvious leader of the group, his eyes were intense, halting any thoughts she could possibly have.
“What happened here Ophelia, are you hurt?” His voice was strong and concerned.
