idk what neurodivergent young adult needs to hear this but you are NOT supposed to give 100% at your job. I've gotten more promotions and raises since I started giving 40-60%, which my evil CEO uncle informed me is what bosses actually expect when they say 110%. My mental health has improved tremendously. I've spent 2 out of 5 workdays secretly writing my novel for the last 2 years and I've never been more respected and appreciated. Also--when you see glaring wasteful errors in the company's operating systems, say absolutely nothing! Embrace inefficiency. It is your friend in this capitalist hellscape.

Police Owe Nothing To Man Whose Home They Blew Up, Appeals Court Says

A federal appeals court ruled this week that a Colorado man whose house suffered significant damage in a police operation in 2015 isn't entitled to any money. He says he's now $400,000 in debt.

An armed shoplifting suspect in Colorado barricaded himself in a stranger’s suburban Denver home in June 2015. In an attempt to force the suspect out, law enforcement blew up walls with explosives, fired tear gas and drove a military-style armored vehicle through the property’s doors.

After an hours-long siege, the home was left with shredded walls and blown-out windows. In some parts of the interior, the wood framing was exposed amid a mountain of debris.

A federal appeals court in Denver ruled this week that the homeowner, who had no connection to the suspect, isn’t entitled to be compensated, because the police were acting to preserve the safety of the public.

i am already seeing maga people dismiss minors as "young women who just wanted to be around the wealthy and powerful". they are already trying to make it less fucking terrible than it is. they are relying on you being burnt out. stand up and take back the term protecting the children.

do not let platform-appropriate censorship diminish what actually happened. look them dead in the eye and say, "are you fucking stupid? that's child rape. those are children." use the word rape. use the word child. say what actually happened.

do not let them draw you into "well what if X person did it" strawmen arguments. just come back to the original thesis, over and over. trump did do it, though. this is not about X, it is about him. do not let them create some strange if-then narrative of if she was over 15 - say i don't care her age, she was a minor, he had no excuse. if he can't control himself around children, he should not be a president. they are going to do anything to dodge this. they are going to do whatever they can to avoid admitting their involvement.

this is a huge fucking deal. do not allow them to avoid it.
