❛ POOR, Rickless, BASTARDS ❜
“Right…Though, I believe the whole point was, Rick didn’t commit such damage here. I’m sure of it…” She still was a bit disturbed by the kid.
❝ And now we come full circle. It might not have been the Rick you met, but a different one. ❞ He commented, giving a slightly annoyed glance. At least she believed him now, but he was a little sad that he didn’t get to mess with them any- more.
He frowned at how casually the other talked about it all. It was like he didn’t even care! It was like none of it even mattered to him! It’s the kind of response he wouldn’t be surprised to hear from a Rick, but from another Morty? What had happened to him to make him so… so cold and unfeeling and awful? (And would that ever happen to him, too?)
Morty took a deep breath, forcing his hands to uncurl once he noticed that they’d subconsciously formed fists at his side. No. He’d make sure he didn’t turn out like this. He’d get Rick back and everything would go back to normal. He’d be fine. They would both be fine!
“I-I think he might have left to protect us. We- I-I don’t know if you had a Tammi in your dimension, b-but she turned out to be an undercover spy for the federation. W-We fled a-a-and camped out on this little planet for a while, b-but… I don’t know. He just left. I offered to go with him, b-but he… He wouldn’t let me.”
He listened, lightly grabbing the others shoulder to lead him away from the scene as he relocked and closed the door. They should probably get away from the scene now before it was too late, but hey, whatever worked for the other. If they got caught, he was throwing C-137 under the bus.
Fixing his eyepatch again as a habit, he looked at the other, having to turn his head slightly to actually see him. Blinking when he heard that the Federation had a hand in the Rick’s disappearing act, he could only assume what actually happened. But he wasn’t going to lie to the other. While he may be a complete scumbag, since he was actually helping, he would be- well semi-nice.
❝ No, we didn’t... or rather don’t? We don’t really have to worry about the Federation, but not all of the Rick’s are willing to go as far as we did. It is rather odd that he left you with the Smiths. ❞ It was a... well a rather distant way to refer to his family, but well... they weren’t to him. All he had was Rick, after all. ❝ It sounds like your guess is- I mean it sounds right. Why go find him? Isn’t he helping you? What if he’s in something so dangerous that you could get hurt? ❞
He questioned the other. While it might have seemed at first that he was just trying to deter the other from his goal, that wasn’t it. No, actually he was genuinely asking. It was something he saw with Morty’s; they weren’t always willing to do what needed to be done if they could get hurt. Finally happy with how his eyepatch was laying he stopped messing with it, and faced forward.
❝ I don’t- I mean what if he doesn’t want to be found? I-I mean I’ll help you find him, and if he’s in danger I’ll do what I can to help as long as my Rick doesn’t- I mean as long as nothing too wrong could happen. But, well, you need to know that it might not be as simple as you think. Rick’s really aren’t good people, but-but you had to have known this by now. ❞
❛ POOR, Rickless, BASTARDS ❜
I’m a new Morty blog around here and just wanted to make a post to get myself out there and hopefully start roleplaying soon! Please read my rules before interacting.
“I can handle standings, shootings, various other things…but eyeball stuff, sorry kid. I’m having sympathy pains. ” she glanced away, she did feel bad for her freak out but holy hell.
❝ No pain. Like I said, neutralizer ray fucked it up bad. ❞ He just gives a coy grin to her, shrugging it off. ❝ Is that enough proof though? That what I said is all true, or should I call a Rick to prove it. ❞
“I…see…It is disturbing. please, seriously. that is disturbing. At least it helps you…but…eessh.” She shivered in disgust. Still disturbed.
❝ Well that’s not very nice. That’s a part of who I am you know. ❞ He acts offended. Well, I mean he really wasn’t, but man did he like messing with her.
Seeing him remove his eye patch, and seeing those wires sticking out. She nearly shrieks. “P-Put it away…P-Please. P-Put it away. D-Did you put them in yourself?! W-Why?” Angel was freaked out. Out of everything, blood didn’t freak her out, aliens to a point didnt. But eye patch and wires out of the eye balls? Nope. Screw that.
Cue the boy snickering as he put it back on, looking at her flipping out. He couldn’t help it. It never really bothered him, and well- oh my god that was hila- rious! ❝ No, my Rick helped with it. I had gotten shot by a neutralizer ray. I can’t really see out of that eye, but he helped make it semi- functional still with some upgr- ades. Aww, did I freak you out? Man, I would have shown you sooner that way it wasn’t such a shock. But the eye patch is a transmitter that I can communicate inter-dime- nsionally with. ❞
“So this begs the question of How you can tell what dimension it is.”
❝ Oh that? That’s simple. While most have a portal gun which tells the location of the dimension and which the user is in, giving the option to travel between them, I have another thing. ❞ He commented, smirking proudly. He grabbed his eyepatch, and ripped it off, two wires, a red and blue hanging out of his eye soc- ket with his eye. The back of the eyepatch itself was covered in ci- rcuitry.
❝ This allows me to gather and see information based on the dimensions I travel too, and stores them within a computer in my own dimension. ❞ He blinked, plugging in the wires and put- ting the eyepatch back on. He didn’t like having it off unless need be, and Rick didn’t either. It was how he kept in contact with his grandfather. ❝ Does that answer your question? ❞
❝ –You keep telling yourself that.❞
❝Lie enough and it might become true, at least in yo-your mind. And I don’t know Morty. Cheating death, and and all- this could all turn into a hashed Jeffrey Reddick script.—❞
The dry, sardonic humor was added, obviously some bitterness lacing his tones. It was better than saying thank you. He glanced at the simper that was gained on Morty’s features and almost something of slight semblance of a sneer lifted upon his features. But he actually gained a lift of lips with a snide remark back.
❝ –You’re a real saint.❞
❝Don’t you got some, some poetry to write or-or-or Gerard Way to pray too? Gotta keep that angsty teen appearance, right?—-❞
The calm expression turned into a sneer at his remark. God damn it was Rick an asshole. But he couldn’t argue with him, at least he wasn’t as bad as he could be.... But Morty wasn’t creative or smart enough to come up with such creative insults. And that mad him so angry.
❝ Whatever Rick. If you want me to take it away, I-I will Rick. It wouldn’t be that hard, just unplug- All I have to do is turn off the computer stor-storing everything Rick, and you can- can just wh- atever. ❞ A completely empty threat, and he didn’t try and hide that fact. He would never touch that computer unless it was for repairs. As much as he would never admit it, he needed Rick. He growled to the ideas Rick was giving, and did everything he could not to gag at the thoughts. That was terrible- would almost be torture.
❝ Sh-Shut up Rick. At least I-I’m not some reject James Bond villain or something- or something like that. ❞ He tried to counter. He was terrible with this. Thinking of insults. His usual like was just call- ing people morons and similar words. Rick was far too good at this, but I guess it helped he had so much experience.
❝ What’s got you so- so crabby anyways? You’re acting like you did after C-137 caused your destruction... I was just asking if the other Rick was-was your friend. ❞ He scowled, partly at the other, but more so at himself. That damn stutter was coming back. He always tried so hard to hide it and keep it under control. The problem was the more nervous or anxious he got the more it came out. What was making him anxious? Who knew, he was just pissed it was coming out more and more. It was a weakness in his head, and he hated it so much.
“….Yes timelines, but wouldn’t dimensions also get screwed up?” She wondered if it could get screwy if it happened.
❝ Well if they did, then I wouldn’t be here... I’m not from this dimension. This is AA-12/01/10 Delta. I’m from D-1286. ❞
❝Every good game has some short, short practice round. Too bad you only won that- a-a-and that’s jacked to accuse me of that.—-❞
❝ ....... ❞ He stayed silent for a moment, actually trying to figure out if Rick was offended. No- no he wasn’t. Cue the teenager to huff at him, and flip him the bird. ❝ Oh really? Well, not like- It’s not like you wouldn’t have done the same. We were tied the entire time. I just kept picking your damn cards... ❞
❝ –You know the❞
❝Exact reasons for all, all of that.—❞
It was a response sounding nonchalant but it was wrapped with that underlying truth that came about their everyday life now. It wasn’t like a response like this was new however. The answer given from Morty drew a rather dry, sarcastic laugh that was very obviously so. And he would continue to dodge the questions.
❝ –Oh-h, thanks Morty❞
❝I’m glad i’ve got permission to do that. That really changes a lot, and now, and now everything’s soooo much better.—-❞
❝ Oh stop it. I wasn’t that bad. Sure I was... kinda just a shield or whatever for you at first, but I wised up, huh Rick? Can’t really- You can’t call the person who saved you a disappoi- ntment now can you? ❞
He said rather monotonically, looking at Rick. However, a grin- no, a snide smirk grew on his face at the others sarcasm. Nerve hit, which means that it probably was a friend. That or Rick was still salty about a couple of things. Either or, he did enjoy pissing off the old man.
❝ I’m glad you think so Rick. I can be pretty generous when I want to, you know. ❞
“It’s not that…it just seems…it seems like it would cause a paradox that would destroy the universe.”
❝ You’re thinking timelines, not dimensions. There’s a difference. ❞
