Last week for Carrie! Pls Share

Hey Everyone. I’m sure you’ve seen the last post I made for going round before and I’ve been amazed by the amount of people who’ve put a real effort into sharing her GoFundMe and those who’ve donated.

We’re approaching the 1st of September which is the planned date of the first of two surgeries Carrie needs. With this surgery we can be pretty sure Carry won’t die imminently, but the second surgery is needed to repair spinal damage caused by her condition. 

She’s hit her goal for the first surgery, but  the second one massively increase her long term prospects and afaict this is by far her best opportunity to do it. She’s having to travel internationally to the surgeon, which is no small thing for someone in Carrie’s condition, and if she doesn’t get the second surgery now, not only is she at risk of further damage, but it’ll likely cost far more to get it at a later date.

While some of the amazing 81k she’s raised came from big donations, most of it came from ordinary folks after it was shared by other ordinary folks.

She needs 19k more and she needs it in the next week. I wouldn’t have thought it possible, only a week ago she needed more like 50k, so I know that it is.

Again, here is the link to her GoFundMe - the number on this doesn’t always sync with what they have because of offline donations and the like, but they post updates when they hit major milestones.
