STANDING AMONG THE CORPSES OF SILVAN ELVES
In the end of the Second Age 3434, the Battle of the Last Alliance, King Oropher and his son prince Thranduil fought in the Battle of Dagorlad. Oropher led his army the Silvan Elves to battle. An army hardy and valiant, yet ill-equipped with armor or weapons and independent to place themselves under the command of Gil-galad, the High King of the elves who was supposed to be supreme commander. For these reasons, their losses were terrible, more than should have been even in such a war.
Oropher, heading his best warriors, without wait for Gil-galad’s signal, charged towards Mordor without the rest of the forces. Oropher and his entire force were killed by the forces of Sauron in the first assault, but Thranduil survived.

*Thranduil’s heart was beating fast. His heart ached terribly to see so many of his kin sacrificed in the battle. He could only pray to Eru that his Ada’s body would not be among the fallen elves as he searched around the battlefield for King Oropher frantically.

FOUND KING OROPHER’S BODY
*No words can possibly describe how heartbroken Prince Thranduil was when he found King Oropher’s body in the battlefield. Till today, the Elvenking cannot forget the pain and refused to talk about the death of his beloved Ada. Like the words of a famous mortal, ‘There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story’.

CORONATION DAY OF THRANDUIL
Thranduil had seen his father and his army killed in battle. It would so hard to him to kept the rest his army fighting along with the rest of the Alliance. After the battle Thranduil lead what was left of his army back to Greenwood, where he became the new king.
*King Oropher had just passed away in the Battle of Dagorlad. Thranduil only son, Prince Thranduil, was greatly saddened by the death of his beloved Ada. The realm however, cannot be without a rightful king. Prince Thranduil was ready to be crowned as the new King of Greenwood and promised to do his best for the sake of the late king and also the elves of Greenwood.
