finding out there's a frankenstein ballet and that it was in october of last year…DEVASTATING
look at this. look at these. im foaming at the mouth
It was stupid good. So good in fact that the bbc filmed a version and put it on dvd when it debuted. I bought that dvd after I saw the show and put it up on the Internet Archive. The audio is not great but the dancing is spectacular. Ever see a pas de deux around an anatomical dissection? You will.
One time I was explaining to my dad how unfair it is that every big city has at least a couple gay bars but there are only like 20ish lesbian bars left in the country and he responded with "That's cause gay men have a good party culture. Lesbians don't have time to party, they're too busy debating the sociological implications of things and studying for postgrad degrees" and as much as I wanted to tell him he was out of line for that, as a lesbian who spends all her free time on Tumblr debating sociological implications and messaging other lesbians in discord servers where everyone has a PhD or masters for some reason I felt like I might not be the best person to make that argument
just grinned at a tree because it was so green. what being inside all day does to a mf

Thyro Alfaro & Alamat are a match made in RnB heaven imho 🤎
"When Alamat officially debuted in February 2021, the group also released its self-written debut anthem kbye, which left many people flabbergasted. The new track is in a mix of seven local languages—Tagalog, Ilocano, Kapampangan, Bicolano, Waray-Waray, Hiligaynon, and Bisaya. According to Ninuno Media, Alamat’s official music label, the incorporation of different languages into the song is a reflection of the group’s commitment to multilingualism. Moreover, the seven local languages reflect the member’s native language and ethnicity.
"For instance, Taneo is from Kalinga, where Ilocano is mostly spoken. Mo, despite having Black-American blood, hails from Zambales where Tagalog and Ilocano are among the dominant languages people use. Jao can speak Kapampangan as a native resident of Pampanga; Tomas represents the Bicolano; Alas is a Bisaya from Mindanao; and R-ji embodies a Waray person of Eastern Samar.
"The song captures the universality of heartbreak and of being ghosted while fusing traditional music with a hip-hop sound. True to its mission of championing the local culture, Alamat also incorporates the traditional sound of kulintang and the rhythm pattern of tinikling, a prominent folk dance in the country. The official music video of the song also showcases some of the defining features of Filipino culture: native prints in their streetwear, the appearance of baybayin, and a traditional jeepney.
"Three months after the release of ‘kbye,’ the single already reached 1M plays, enough for the group to secure a spot in the growing P-pop industry."

he's going through a hair dye phase (sleeping in a berry patch)
feels like some of u aren't properly appreciating the fact that he sleeps in a berry patch. and he rolls over and squishes the berries into his fur. because he's so sleepy and content.
maybe people think he's an ugly dog but just to be clear he is actually a beautiful pig
it is literally almost 2am and im sitting here being scared of the united states like what the fuck there are so many people there!!!!! and they're all just speaking with their american accent like hello??? how do you not just laugh all the time. americans wake up and go to their american jobs and american schools that's so fucking weird. i imagine it as a fake place because it's where everywhere on tv is.

Broad-snouted caiman baby in mother mouth being carried from the nest, Sante Fe, Argentina, 2013 - by Mark MacEwen, English
this is wild because to a human this looks like unsuspecting innocence in the face of certain death but to a caiman it looks like being warm and safe with mum
To be fair to crocodilians, they don't have pouches like kangaroos or grabbing hands like monkeys or fur to hold onto and they need to keep their babies safe in dangerous water. What safer place is there than in their mouths? I mean seriously, no living creature alive would ever be stupid enough to try and get to their babies in there unless they had a death wish. Unlike other archosaurs crocodiles didn't get the blessing of having big wings to hold their babies with, and their mouth is already big and flat and spacious.
And you do see crocodiles with babies on their back sometimes! Just only really in the water because yknow, hard to climb a crocodile.
See, baby crocodiles are a lot like baby ducklings. They can float on water, and they make cute noises, but mostly they're tiny little very edible loud beeping things that everything wants to eat. Ducks deal with this by going "uhhh fuck. I guess I'll have a lot and hope at least one makes it." And a lot of crocodilians also have a bunch of eggs because, yknow, tiny edible babies, but their other main strategy for keeping their babies safe is to do the Bear thing of just Be a big scary thing standing between them and your babies. And its very hard to get around it when its baby is in its mouth.
all the photos of him are like this, I love that this guy understood he had been born with the face of a wizard or axe murderer and just leaned fully into it
he knew EXACTLY what he was doing
