Why was Grace sleeping with no blanket during deleted sleepover scene? Im pretty sure we saw him sleeping with a blanket in the tunnel. He never seems sweaty when around the barrier so i dont think Rocky's atmosphere has raised the temperature much on Grace's side

Considering how much y'all love to draw each member of bloodymary shirtless im surprised no one has made a stripper au

Theres like a lot of options for it too

A in-universe au: Grace used to strip for a couple of summers back in college. On Erid they're watching a movie and Grace has to explain what a stripper is to Simon and ends up giving his new boyfriend who has only kissed Grace twice a entire private show on their couch at 2pm (Simon doesnt know whats hotter: Grace's college persona that he slips back into is much different to the humble man Simon knows now or the fact theres a naked Grace on his lap)

Modern day au: Simon stripping after he gets out of prison and middle school teacher Grace getting dragged to the club for someone's birthday/bachelor(ette) party. Simon enjoys playing with the cute nerd who's a flustered mess over at table 12. His friends (Colt? Ilyukhina?) buy him a private dance and Simon drags Grace away by his tie

For those age gap lovers: Simon stripping his way through college/trade school and school teacher Grace as a regular from a town over who is draining his paychecks on seeing Simon once a week

Maybe they're from rival strip clubs? I dont think thats a thing but imaging a Step Up type dynamic with strippers would make such a silly story. Like you have the Hail Mary owned and operated by Stratt and Grace who "just helps keep it running" gets thrown into these crazy dance battles because they're a dancer short

College au: Marissa drags Grace to a pole dancing class where Simon is the teacher and you dont do showmanship quite like that unless you used to be/are a exotic dancer. Simon keeps correcting Grace's form with hand(s) on his waist and it just makes Grace mess up more unintentionally

Same as above but flipped. Since Grace is a teacher and all (although Simon might be messing up intentionally instead lol)

Grace stripping in college summers but this time Simon was hired to fix something (electrical? A hole in the wall?) but he ends up falling into Grace's web and keeps coming back

And lets not forget the "i ordered you a stripper. Dont be alarmed if a sexy cop knocks on your door" scenario

For some reason im thinking a lot about Grace's first attempt at making his own clothes

Like in the book the eridians wear clothes so i could buy them making him clothes like we get all the time in fic (and they would also get frustrated that soft bodies change shape lol) but in the movie world he'll likely have to do it himself. The ending even shows him wearing pants that clearly used to be the white jumpsuit

Were they sent up with a sewing repair kit? Did he have to unravel a shirt to get more thread? Could Rocky have built him a sewing machine or would that have happened later on Erid?

Idk why the eridians have fabric but you do see some kind of fabric that Rocky wears later on thats a pouch or a belt. But i doubt softness is something they consider while manufacturing it. Thickness and texture for the final product yes with maybeeee softness being a byproduct. Do they invent a whole new fabric just for Grace? Does it only come in one color?

The easiest clothing piece to make is a skirt. I like to think theres some really badly constructed skirts shoved in the back of his closet that he finds again when he's looking for clothes for Simon (in a bloodymary au)

For clothes without sewing almost all of them are wrap arounds. So is Grace revamping the emperor look? Is he rocking a poncho with a belt? Does Rocky gift him fancy broaches so he can pin the garments shut?

So many thoughts y'all

Thinking about how easy it would be to cosplay Grace. Like for the bare minimum you just need a long sleeve jumpsuit and his name patch. We even see him in FOUR different colored jumpsuits so you have options. Man is hardly wearing his glasses, id say theyre optional. Wanna go a bit further? Buy a cheap clear hamster ball and put a tiny Rocky toy in it. Or even just a picture of Rocky. They have holes so you could even slide some string in and hook it to a strap so you dont have to carry it in your hands.

Your hair too dark or too long? You could hide it with a hat. We see him wear a white hat with the PHM logo on it. Making the PHM logo would be a bit harder. Could always print it on paper and try to glue it down real good. Could also trace it and just paint it on the white hat

We only get like 2 shots of his shoes the whole movie so you can do what you want there

Welcome to version two! These are supplementary images to our Iron Lung Wiki project! They will be accompanied by many, many, many paragraphs of detail work. Simon's character page is going to unironically take my entire team weeks. It's a hefty project.

Anyway, cosplayers and artists rejoice! I've found those damn ice cleats (I'm pretty sure these are the exact ones. I sat there and counted and memorized the spike pattern on the bottom whilst screaming at Google Lens). Wal-Mart strikes again! I also corrected some errors, added details and standardized the formatting a bit better! Enjoy. :)

I like to think when Grace eventually has to wear clothes with eridian fabric (his earth clothes having fallen to shreds) he starts writing his own science jokes and puns on them. When he realizes Rocky can't see them he finds a way to create puffy paint or learns how to applique so Rocky, his beloved pebbles, and all of Erid can read his silly shirts
