“No, I’m not ok. But I haven’t been ok since I was 11, maybe 12. I am still here though. I’m still breathing. For me, sometimes, that will have to be enough.”
— Clementine von Radics

anxiety/ocd
the other day I went grocery shopping at Walmart. my normal shop is IGA. I walked in and automatically had anxiety. I didn’t know where to start, what isle had what, which brands where better for me.. I was looking around at what seemed to me as a huge obstacle course and was thinking “why didn’t I just go to IGA” .. why wouldn’t I have just gone to iga. Why am I here, at walmart, staring at this cucumber wondering what iga’s cucumber looked like. Were they more fresh? did they have less spots of them. It bothered me so much to the point that I almost didn’t buy the cucumber. I almost didn’t buy anything. Within a two minute process I decided that choosing a cucumber at walmart was a harder task then putting my shopping cart back, getting in my car and driving an hour back to iga just to buy the damn cucumber. a fucking cucumber. Because that’s what having anxiety and ocd is.. it’s a cucumber.. it’s buying a cucumber from walmart and ALWAYS wondering about igas cucumber.
“I’m almost never serious, and I’m always too serious. Too deep, too shallow. Too sensitive, too cold hearted. I’m like a collection of paradoxes.”
— Ferdinand de Saussure
He acts as if it was easy to let him go, but he never saw the claw marks I had left all over his skin.
there is no way to hate myself into becoming a person i like.
there is no way to shame myself into a better life.
i can’t motivate myself to heal in the same ways i encouraged my own destruction.
victims of abuse be like, this person has now made me cry myself to sleep about 30 times, i have flashbacks of things they’ve done and said to me, they know how to hit me right in my worst insecurity and guilt so i feel horrible for days and months, their comments make me feel worthless and like i shouldn’t even be alive, and being around them makes me feel small and meaningless and sometimes suicidal but maybe that’s just me, maybe they’re not abusive? i have to give them benefit of the doubt, what if i’m not justified to kick them out of my life?
“You can’t understand and I cannot explain, how this sickness, running through my veins, is tied to what I am. There’s no cure for personality and even if there were, I’d be scared it’d take the best of me; for I’m nothing but my worst.”

im really really trying
bungee
it’s that split second when you’re bungee jumping, and the air is pushing against you and the rope behind you is slack. That’s the feeling people live for. It’s between the jump and the end of the rope that makes you feel alive. Nothing holding you, nothing guiding you. That’s how life’s suppose to feel. An on going decision to jump or fall. Allowing fear to make the journey a nightmare, or the enlightenment of not being tied to anything but a rope. Life’s not like that for me.. it’s more like the end of the rope. Vigorously whipping me back to reality. Reminding me that I will always be tied to something, even if just a rope. The constant feeling that things are over, and me trying to go again.
It’s hard to actually work on your life when you constantly feel like you’re not even real.
- it’s even harder to explain it.
