Okay. So.

There's this company called MazM that makes mobile games based on classic literature.

There is one game in particular that I really want to highlight because its my favorite book and musical and movie and its so accurate to the book (not completely but I'll get to that later) and the game is very new and I thought that some people in the phandom would have picked up on it already but nobody has so I am just! Bringing it into the spotlight as best as I can!

MazM: Phantom of the Opera

Its a visual novel style game that tells a fairly book accurate story!

The art is great and the sprites are super cute. Also, since its leroux accurate, we get a POC Meg, and Jammes and Sorelli are there, and even the Persian is, too! His name is Hatim in the game for some reason???? I dunno why but I was super excited to see his lil sprite standing in corners and stuff.

Also, there's a fun in-game screenshot system that churns out what looks like newspaper articles, and you can add your own headlines! I had alot of fun with that lmao

The illustrations you earn in game are pretty neat, too. I can't even begin to describe how gorgeous they are.

Like I stated earlier, there are some story inconsistencies between the game and the book, but I personally think the inconsistencies only add to the experience. They're also relatively minor.

In conclusion, play this game!!! I want people to talk to about it with!!!!! Its so good!!!!!!!

Not to be dramatic but "all I ask of you" from phantom of the opera is THE most tender love ballad ever written and I can't listen to it in the car because I become so overcome with yearning that I'm a hazardous driver

The fact that the phantom's love song to her is him asking her to sacrifice everything she knows, to "purge all thoughts of the life [she] knew before,"

And immediately afterward Raoul's love song to her says "anywhere you go, let me go too. love me, that's all I ask of you," telling her her life is her own and all he wants is the chance to be a part of whatever she decides that means........

That she doesn't get to sing a line in Music of the Night but in All I Ask of You she gets to tell Raoul what she wants and he responds that he'll deliver it........
