Exactly 10 years ago today, I started my career as an Apple Store Leader Program Associate at Apple. I still remember the excitement I felt over landing my dream job right out of college at a company that I had long admired. I was honored and humbled to be one of the very first people to go through their new leadership program alongside some of the most talented individuals I had ever met.
The lessons I learned during my time at Apple have really shaped the type of leader I am today. Steve Jobs once said “You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking back.” While this first group of ASLP’s have all had different career paths (some are still in leadership positions at Apple, some are running their own businesses, some have gone on to other corporate gigs), they all share one thing in common and that is that they are all successful leaders in the fields they are currently in. 👏
I am forever grateful that I started my career with a company so invested in my personal growth and development. It helped me build a strong foundation to launch my career from. I still use many of the lessons I learned at Apple in my current role at Moxie, where I am honored to work alongside another group of talented individuals on one of the other brands that I have long admired Coca-Cola! The past decade has been a truly memorable one, but the best is yet to come and I can’t wait to see all the things I’ll be able to achieve in this next decade. ❤️
