Her friends call her Jeyjey or Jaydee, but Alastor prefers to call her by her full name, because he likes that her name is French.
Backstory:
- Every witch has their own individual magical powers.
- One of the strongest witches was her grandma.
- Also her mother has great power. She has always hated her daughter. It is because her mother‘s mind is sick. She is narcissistic, violent and evil.
- One day her mother recognized the growing power in Jeanette and she became jealous. So she put a curse on her daughter and sent her to hell. Still alive.
- Jeanette must fight hard to survive.
- When witches die, they don't go to heaven or hell, but their souls either become one with nature (and possibly turn into forest spirits) or they become stars.
- Jeanette's grandmother is the only witch in the history of witches who managed to get to heaven with a spell because she desperately wanted to go there after her death.
- When Jeanette heard about the Hazbin Hotel and Charlie's goal of redeeming sinners to get them into heaven, she gained hope for a chance to go to heaven to find her grandmother, who could break the curse.
- When she arrived at the Hazbin Hotel, she immediately made friends with the crew.
- And she fell in love with Alastor at first sight (of course 😏).
- Jeanette has a good heart. She is nice and sometimes she may be a people pleaser.
- But she is in no way perfect.
- She can also be rude if someone pisses her off.
- And she tends to make a lot of moral mistakes.
- She can be very emotional and a bit theatrical.
- And she is clumsy as hell (especially when it comes to dropping things).
- Jeanette is a traumatised soul: she had a difficult childhood due to her mother and bullying. She was sexually abused and physically and emotionally mistreated. She sometimes suffers from depression and panic attacks, which also have a negative effect on her witchcraft powers.
Relationship with Alastor:
- When Alastor discovered that she is a living witch, he wanted her soul more than anything else. Because the soul of a witch is very valuable.

- Side note: There is a rumour in Hell that witches have no souls, but this is not true and very few people know this. Witches and demons do not get along particularly well, as witches often make pacts with demons and the demons are inferior to the powerful forces of the witches. Witches often exploit demons and do not hold them in high regard. Furthermore, there is a code among witches that states that a witch must never enter into a romantic or sexual relationship with a demon, as this could endanger her soul.
