quick dirty rundown on hunter. bc he is the only person on this blog that outsiders might not know.

born 31st october, 1983

grew up in chicago and was best friends with jay halstead & miles jameson

eventually went on to date miles- they were together from age 15 til 35, when miles was killed.

miles & hunter were cops in chicago fresh out of high school and eventually moved to san francisco.

hunter moved back after miles’ funeral and was assigned to the intelligence unit, partnered with adam ruzek.

he is very unshamed of being gay, and is WILD. he used to be a stripper while doing an undercover job that lasted four years, just prior to miles’ death. 

i can answer any other questions. i am really scattered tonight.

And ain’t a damn soul in my family that explain that, because before me, the tallest was my dad’s great grandfather, who was 6′3.”

"Lost kid... yeah... that's... that'd be my department. I'll give it a shot. Kids kind of think I don't suck." He laughs at his own floundering and motions. "Lead the way, Superman." He's not sure how to get the kid to tell him past going uncle Hunter mode, but he is still gonna try. As they walk, he questions. "How tall are you? Stupid, I know. It's just not often I meet someone that is actually taller than me, it's blowing my mind."

i love that hunter is a firefighter and also a cop. cop hunter is this brave, bold, gives no fucks free fucking wildfire. and firefighter hunter is a soft, protective, determined great pyrenees of a human. it’s the duality for me.

“I’m glad because I’m not sure how well we would mesh if you needed that…” He appreciated being pulled in closer though and he leaned into it, snuggling closer to Hunter. “I am too… all too soon she’ll be way too cool for us and she won’t want to come sleep in the middle anymore.” Adam almost broke his own heart with that one, he adored their daughter and the way she loved to be a shadow to her parents. “I’m glad we did this, though. Just the two of us. Doesn’t seem like we get a whole lot of that anymore.”

“Going back was the call. I needed to. You were right about that, you and Jay. I just hate that I have to SCHEDUAL time to see you. I love being a cop, I am good at being a cop... but it means we have a lot of sacrifices we have to make. Like time alone, just us...” He moved to kiss Adam again, sighing. “I am working on fixing it, Ruze. I promise.”
