Summary: Shane had been hoping, admittedly naively, that the anxiety would have dissipated, now that his worst nightmare had happened and he’d emerged from the other side with a husband and spot on a new team who, according to Ilya, Coach Weibe, and the group chat he’d been added to by Wyatt before the ink on the new contract had dried, were all very excited to have him. That it was still there didn’t appear to make sense.

If he dug a little deeper, though, retreated into the recesses of his subconscious, Shane supposed he was still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I am absolutely bewitched by the thought of someone else ending up being the one that Kevin fully latched onto for protection. And by someone else I mean Katelyn.

Kevin’s on the sidelines and Katelyn is trying to have any excuse to be near Aaron in a way that doesn’t alert Andrew. They get to talking because Katelyn also wants to talk to Aaron about the sport.

Kevin gets kind of comfortable and accidentally drops some of his #lore and Katelyn feels an instinctive need to protect him and then it’s the job of the cheer squad to protect Kevin.

I’ve solved the Jabberwocky problem when Jean graduates.

The FBI apartment only lasts until after the trial. Realistically that is not going to happen much before the end of Jean’s final year, so he and Cat can stay there until then. Then, the old house is fully repaired, Cat and Laila move back there but oh no, they can’t have pets! So Jean takes custody of Jabberwocky and moves to whatever team Jeremy is on and they rent a pet friendly place together and boom the issue of who gets Jabberwocky is resolved and also Cat and Laila get their home back after the fire.
