i don’t think people understand how smart ron weasley actually was, not necessarily at school subjects like hermione, but just pure smart. he was able to defeat a chess set planted by professor mcgonagall when he was 11. do you know how hard it is to play regular chess and win against a peer, much less a professor who we can assume has been playing for at least fifty more years than him? and to do so while his and his best friends’ lives are at stake, with a bunch of chess pieces all shouting different instructions at him??? i don’t give a fuck about what you do as long as you don’t ever insult ron weasley to my face

A warmth was spreading through him that had nothing to do with the sunlight; a tight obstruction in his chest seemed to be dissolving. Lily and Fred in the Afterlife

Lily: You kidnapped my son from my sister’s house?

I understand this is because Peeves witnessed Lupin's life at Hogwarts. That's why he doesn't seem to care if he's a professor now. ALSO, MAYBE HE SAYS "LOONY, LOONY" BECAUSE HE KNEW-

So according to Snape it's better to be killed by Voldemort; probably the darkest wizard of all time and to whom he presented to be a loyal servent for years; the wizard who killed Lily than being married to Ron.

The Weasleys are Family

So I have thoughts. And I got the idea from this post by @hogwarts-myworld.

Part of me wishes that Fred had been with Harry in the Forbidden Forest, too. At the end, when he uses the resurrection stone. I get why it’s just Lily, James, Sirius, and Lupin. But the Weasleys are Harry’s family, too. Fred should’ve been there.

But what if he was? What if he “came to life” too, but knew it wasn’t the time to show himself? The twins are far more intelligent than people give them credit for. Maybe Fred was there, but he knew that it wasn’t the time–it wasn’t about him. So he hid. Harry needed his parents and uncles in that moment.

And maybe, just maybe, it made Fred feel a little bit better about leaving. Because yes, he knew he died fighting for the right thing. He knew his family thought Harry was family. But the confirmation that Harry feels the same makes some impact.

And then, right before Harry drops the stone, Fred makes some joke in his head and snickers to himself. It’s a dumb joke. Like a Sirius/Serious pun.

 And George feels it somehow. And ALL IS WELL.

The Weasleys were to Harry what the Potters were to Sirius.

Family.

The Family which accepted them for what they were. The Family which gave them food, shelter, warmth, love, care, security and the feeling of actually having a family.
