Voldemort's story was erased from the history books, parents were left to tell their children the tale and most choose to keep it a secret. To protect this new generation of what happened in the past. But history has a funny way of repeating itself, blood purity just doesn't disappear. It slowly fills the cracks of society luring teenagers with it's promises of a better world.

As our players know but any lurkers may not, KNOCKTURN ALLEY HAS BEEN ATTACKED. How the events unfolded, largely a lot of information we are all to be armed with OOC but next to nobody knows in character can be read HERE HERE and HERE.
What your characters know/ need to know about what happened:
Late last evening, there was a guerrilla attack carried out on Knockturn Alley. Witness reports claim somewhere between two and ten masked and cloaked assailants depending on who you ask and how confused they were. There were no fatalities* but some injuries, mostly minor, especially in those who engaged with the attackers. The primary damage was to property. Borgin and Burkeâs, closed by that hour luckily, was completely demolished. It is not public knowledge that muggle explosives were used primarily instead of magic. Even where aurors are concerned it would take time for that to show up in the investigation if it does at all. The White Wyvern also sustained heavy damage. Several other business suffered small fires, blown out windows, and other damage. Most businesses, aside from, naturally, Borgin and Burkes, will be able to reopen in short order but clean up will vary and people may feel even more leery about shopping there even than they used to. Some may assume the masked attackers were with Jonathan Marks or the Mayte group as the costumes used were imitative, but it would be equally realistic to think of it as a copycat case, especially if time goes on an nobody takes credit, as long as there are reasons to back up either assumption and no undue conclusion jumping that defies logic in divining specific targets.
What this means for you (and you characters):
React! Read about it in the paper, hear it on the radio, talk about it with your friends. This is news! Parties arenât the only things that necessitate new starters
Can my character have been there for the attack?
The short answer is absolutely, if they have reason to be, and if we donât suddenly have the entire cast of character claiming to be hanging around Knockturn Alley on that specific night. Please message the main with
1) Who you want to say was there?
2) Why they were in Knockturn Alley?
3) What kind of role you want them to play. Were they shellshocked in a corner of the White Wyvern hiding under a table and staying out of the action? Did they fight with Roxanne or Charlie (and a hint for this would be to ask/talk to Beth or Raluca before deciding this)? Were they someone who send a patronus to the authorities? Were they injured? Were they not even there but as an alternative do you want them to be a suspect in the attack (and for this please include an explanation as to why you think they would be)? What did they do?
If your claim is reasonable then surely it will be approved. Itâs just good to keep track. Have no fear of getting involved, and, as was said, there is plenty of chance to be involved in reactions and aftermath.
Happy Plotting Elementals!
*The no fatalities detail can be negotiated if you have a burning need for one of your characters to have died, but be prepared to make a case for how it happened and why you want it.
RPNow is a roleplay site where small groups of friends can instantly create private roleplaying chatrooms.
Above is the link to an RP Now, chat for Scorpiusâs party, the party briefly described in this post. While there technically is a guest list, anyone is welcome to stop by if you want to say word of mouth was spread (yes, even the uninvited Russians, that was a joke and not meant for the Russians that are played now), as, much like Scorpius implied to the point of almost outright saying in his invites, whoever and however many people think it would be a good time are welcome. And, no, to answer a recurring question, a plus one is not required, the kiss at midnight line was for flavor, though everyone should be kissed anyway.
Now, the chat details, RP Now, you can click on where it says âNarratorâ and change your speaker, customizing your own color for each character, changing characters every time you post if you wish, and making this prettier, neater, and an easier read than chatzy. Thank you for the suggestion of the site, Raluca and Lynn.
Asbjorn Wolfgramm-Rudis twenty-six years old, he is an auror and an Ilvermorny alumni formerly in the house Wampus
âNever spontaneously combust alone, or without a bag of marshmallows nearby.â
âł MAGIC
AsbjĂžrn has a high affinity for fire but he doesnât consider himself to be very studious. The classes that he likes are just that. They are practical and reasonable. Just like himâŠin ways. Divinations, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, are all classes that he has boycotted. They do not make sense to him, analytically. Though ironically he is very intuitive but thrives off the practical and traditional nature of his prefered classes. Dueling, Defense Against the Dark Arts, weight-training, Quodpot, and flying were all classes that he excelled in. Though Charms and Transfigurations he was fairly decent in, technically, he can not say he was the perfect student. Most times, the classes that he excelled in Professors were either trying to control his entirety, or handing out detentions for his big mouth.
âł BACKSTORY
AsbjĂžrn Dogrun Wolfgramm-Rud was born in Ullern, Norway. Not much is known about his birth parents for he was adopted by an Australian couple, who were honeymooning and volunteering in the community for their companyâs genetic and biological department. When walking home one day his adopted parents watched to their shock and horror as a man in rags diving in a dumpster pulled out a screaming blonde baby. The boy was covered in dirt and moldy remnants of food. The man who pulled him out of the dumpster saw the couple who were brought to tears at the condition of the baby. He walked up to them and handed him over. At that moment, as Asbjorn cried he looked up at the couple and stopped, taken in by their compassion. He grabbed his soon-to-be motherâs hair and giggled. The couple was lovestruck. A year later, he was theirs.
The couple took him back with them to Australia and attended no-maj school up until his acceptance into Ilvermorny. As he grew up he knew he was different, at least different enough from his parents. They could never lied that he was adopted nor did they want to. He looked nothing like them. Where they were dark skinned he was as pale as snow. Where their eyes were a dark brown, his were greyish-blue. Where they had black hair he was blonde. WellâŠeveryone got the picture. He was reminded of it every day of his school life. And with such reminders came a need to protect his family, their honor, and their love for him. It was what they did for him after all. They were good people, nice people. They did not deserve to be slandered merely for having a baby not of their color. So, he stood up and got in fight, after fight, after fight. He would come home with bleeding nose, swollen eyes, bruised ribs, bleeding fists. To their relief they were lucky enough to be experts in the human body, genetics, biology, and physics. So, a little blood didnât hurt them. Just the confusion and pain of his anger did.
As he grew up his parents started to notice odd happenings and occurrences revolving around AsbjĂžrn especially with the kids he got into fights with, when he was angry, or when he had temper tantrums. They were practical people. They understood the sciences and fully stood behind what made logical sense. So, when their son was rumored to burst into flames during a fight of what they were told was he and five other boys ganging up on him, there were things in the story that made absolutely no sense to them. Parts that were scientifically impossible. On top of the fact, that he was a ten year old boy beating up a group of five boys of fifteen years.
But as the AsbjĂžrn closened to his eleventh birthday, they were awoken by the sound of their smoke detector and the smell of fire. As they entered their sonâs room, they were dumbstruck by the awe of the boy who lay in his bed, his right hand held a swirling fireball yet it seemed as if his hand was untouched by the flame. They didnât know what to do. Thankfully, the next day, they were handed a letter and greeted by a sweet Canadian couple who brought their two twin girls with them to meet AsbjĂžrn and his parents.
At Ilvermorny, AsbjĂžrn thrived. He had a high affinity for his element and people didnât seem to mind (too much) his blunt nature. He became quick friends with Victoria and Eileen Fletcher. They helped him navigate through a world that, at first, was difficult to understand. But, soon, he no longer felt lost in the world. He wasnât a freak. He wasnât a weirdo. Or, just some angry kid. He was a part of something - something bigger than himself - and that made all the difference. His parents had difficulty believing in the magical community given their background but thanks to Ellie and Vixâs parents soon it was as if they had been born into the world. By fifth year, he had grown closer to the twins in ways that were hard to explain even to Az. Vix became his girlfriend. Ellie became his (Best friend? Crush?) Auror partner many years later, their titles were really unclear even in present day. But, that didnât matter. They kept each other balanced and into trouble thanks to their competitive spirits.
Az has always had a fierce nature and a thriving heart. He protects those he loves and loves deeply. Though given his blunt and straightforward personality he can come off curt and aloof. But, one would never meet a more loyal friend than Az.
AsbjĂžrn left Ilvermorny soon after completing and passing Auror training with flying colors. Vix and himself broke off their relationship on level ground. Both being in auror training Az felt he was holding Vix back. Finding it in both their interests, he broke off the relationship the middle of their last year in training. Sadly, given his stubborn beliefs he didnât inform Ellie of his reasoning having asked Victoria to keep time reason he was leaving and wanting to set her free a secret. To this day, he believes she never knew why he ended it or why he left for Norway shortly after without much of a goodbye.
When he left for Norway, he didnât say goodbye to many of his friends at all, but left the tears for his parents. He wasnât one for a teary goodbye otherwise. He prefered the idea that he would just see them later. But later, he would find this would hurt him when learning Vix had died in combat. He stayed in Norway for four years before moving back to Edinburgh, Scotland. His return falls shortly after blowing his cover inside the Norwegian Drug Cartel and Sex Trafficking underground scene. A group of no-majâs and majâs alike kidnapped a twelve year old girl. After hearing her screams, Asbjorn peered into the window. What he say thrusted him into a blackout rage. In his fury, all the members were beaten to a bloody pulp par for one. The sixth guy took the young girl by the arm lay in a heap on the floor. When Az came to, the little girl was hiding under a bed and the sixth member was a charred mess. He still to this day doesnât entirely know what he did, fully, given the fact he blacked out. He just remembers the charred remains of the man that stood which haunts his dreams. He just returned to the Ministry of Magic, Auror department. Though he doesnât know where he stands with his job he is happy to be back. With his return to Scotland, AsbjĂžrn still awaits the final decision of the Auror departments verdict for his uncontrolled actions inside enemy lines.
Eileen Fletcher is twenty-six years old, she is an artist , and is a Ilvermorny alumni from the house Thunderbird.
âI am like a person walking in a mirror broken in two.â
âł MAGIC
In most situations with an elemental, whose affinity is as strong as Ellieâs, they would be isolated until they were able to able to control themselves, and/or put on potions. Ellieâs family however, recognized her abilities at a young age, and through her grandmotherâs training, and the balancing affect her twin sister had on her, she was able to manage to control herself well enough to attend school along with the other young witches and wizards. It took her almost until the end of her education at Ilvermorny to be able to manipulate her element safely. Now, without Vix around to keep her level, she is once again struggling to use it. With her wand, she does well with combative magic. She does poorly, however, with most charms suited for daily living.
âł BACKSTORY
Victoria and Eileen Fletcher were born in complete mirror image, and stayed that way until Ellie started dying her hair every other week. The twins grew up in a Powell River, British Columbia, Canada. It was a largely no-maj community, consisting of retirees looking for recluse. The Fletcher family was an exception. This pureblood family with Scottish heritage had immigrated to Canada with the original European colonizers. The pureblood lineage of their family became coincidental, as they believed each individual demonstrates their worthiness through action, not through birth.
Their parents â Robert Fletcher and Alexis Grey-Fletcher - did not stay home to raise their children. Robert was a professor of defense against the dark arts at the Toronto Preparatory School of Magic. During the summer he would imbue on his children fantastic knowledge, and then come September, he would whisk off again. Alexis worked in magical research. With travelling for work, the girls usually didnât know which country she was in, just that she was examining ruins, and the cultures and magic of the surrounding wizarding communities. While neither of the girls held their parentsâ absence against them, and both of them thrived in spite of it, they were raised primarily by their grandmother. Muriel Fletcher was a retired field Healer, and was adept at defensive magic. In the years before the twins went to school, she took them on adventures in the surrounding nature, beginning to teach the girls survival skills and to control their elemental abilities. Muriel, like Victoria âVixâ Kaitlyn Fletcher, was a water elemental.
Despite all these efforts, prior to the commencement of their formal education, Ellie lost control one last time. Frustrated with her inability to tap into the Earth element and off-put by her sisterâs boasting, Ellieâs control slipped, and what started as an argument ended with Vix was swathed in flames. Luckily, Muriel was able to tend to Vix while the grief-stricken Ellie was comforted by her father. This changed both of the twins. Ellie became temperamental. She sought her twinâs attention, whether by positive or negative means. Vix subdued her personality. She managed Ellieâs swings with expertise, but never quite gave her the warmth her sister craved. Further entrenching the girlâs in their separate demeanours, came the death of Muriel Fletcher, just weeks before the girlâs departure for school.
As their father taught in Toronto, it was decided that it would be best for the girls to attend Ilvermorny. During sorting, Vix went first, being placed into Pukwudgie. Ellie was chosen by two houses â Thunderbird and Wampus. Afraid of being separated from her sister, Ellie yelled at the statues, demanding they reconsider, but as is the nature of statues, they did not budge in their decision. In the mental equivalent of a coin toss, she chose Thunderbird, just so the experience would be over. Breaking tradition, Ellie came to school already with a wand. The wand she carried was her grandmotherâs. In her will, she had left Ellie her wand, believing that as it had aided in so much of Ellieâs training, that it would help her control her powers.
At first, the twins still spent most of their time together. Vix kept Ellieâs adventurous side under control, and convinced her to routinely finish the theoretical homework that she found so boring. Ellieâs grades were good, and Vixâs were better. Vix scored flawlessly on written exams, but Ellie out-shone her in spellcasting, except when asked to perform spells that Ellie considered to be menial. In care of magical creatures, Ellieâs grades fluctuated greatly. When asked about an animal she seemed clueless, but she still managed to intuitively interact well with them.
Summers were now spent in Montreal, where their father decided to live following the death of his mother. While Vix seemed indifferent, Ellie was livid. She craved space to move in, the freedom of the wilderness, and the remnants of her childhood. Rejecting their new house as a home, she would do almost anything to not be there. She took no-maj classes in martial arts, drawing and singing during the day, returning in the evening for her father to tutor her in magical theory, or for a hired tutor to teach the twins French to help them adapt to their new location.
As their schooling progressed, Vix started making her own friends. While she still spent more time with Ellie than any other single person, Ellie felt the distance. She took up singing in the school choir to occupy her time, but busy hands didnât keep her from getting into trouble. Occasionally she got into fights with others, and frequently she was known to break curfew. Over the summer before their fifth year, Vix began dating a boy from Wampus â Asbjorn Wolfgramm. He took private lessons with the girlsâ father after their own lessons. He would stay late, talking to Vix, though when she would go to bed early, he would stay up with Ellie. Despite her initial desire to hate the boy, to find his weakness and split him and Vix apart, Ellie found herself falling in love with him.
Asbjorn became both her rival for Vixâs attention, and the object of her affection. She did her best to repress her emotions for him, but her true feelings came out through becoming intensely competitive. This was highlighted through duelling. Her competition-driven focus also improved her grades, and reduced the amount of time she spent in trouble. The largest benefit it had was forcing her to refine her ability to use fire when facing off against the fire elemental. Several months prior to graduation, Asbjorn broke up with Vix. Like with most things, Vix seemed unshaken, but Ellie was enraged with him.
Following graduation, Ellie continued to follow her sister, enrolling in the auror program available in Canada. Vix knew Ellie would conform to her decision, so she chose a path that Ellie would he suited to. However at the end of their training, Vix announced that she was going to take the field medicine extension. By this time Ellie elected to move into the work force.
Until Vixâs graduation, Ellie worked undercover. When her mission resolved successfully, her supervisors viewed her as an accomplished auror for her age, and made her assist a senior auror for Vixâs training. While she was uncomfortable with being asked to help train another auror, she was too relieved to be back with Vix to complain. This was a decision she would forever regret. Under Ellieâs care, Vix died in the line of duty. On a routine assignment, checking in on a criminal let out on parole, the two were barraged by curses from behind. Hit by one, Vix died instantly. The attack had been meant for the resident of the house, not the aurors. Before the attackers left, Ellie did manage to incapacitate two of them, but three more fled. They were never identified.
Following this incidence, she developed symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Unable to cope with the pressures of her job, she handed in her resignation. Unable to cope with the pressures of her life, she turned to excessive drinking, recreational drug use, and falling into bed with faces she wouldnât remember the next day.
One night, she and a group of others were fooling around on some docks near downtown Vancouver. Suddenly she found herself in the inky waters. It took her two minutes to surface, not because she couldnât swim, but because she wasnât sure that she wanted to. When she surfaced, she was alone. Sobered by the moment, she trudged across downtown Vancouver to the apartment she had shared with her sister. That night she tore apart Vixâs room. By the morning her old possessions were in boxes, her furniture sold to young no-majs, and her room was an art studio. By the end of the week, Ellie had sold her first piece. A month later, she could call herself an artist.
Still haunted by reminders of her sister, Ellie elected to move to London, where she had been very successful at selling her art. She purchased a studio space and packed up only her most important possessions, leaving most of Vixâs thing in her parentsâ basement â except for her wand, and a single cardboard box. Now in London, Ellie is living out of her studio space, sleeping on a couch, and eating all of her meals at various pubs. She is so grateful to not see any familiar faces, and to know thatâs how they should be.
Plato Greckin is thirty-five years old, he is an Unspeakable in the Department of Mysteries, and was formerly in the house Ravenclaw.
âJust because my path is different doesnât mean Iâm lost.â
âł MAGIC
His magic is rather different to most people, as he spends hours and hours finding the most obscure and strange spells in order to both baffle his colleges and to make his little girl as proud and amazed by her father as possible. Also, Plato enjoys expanding his ever growing mind.
âł BACKSTORY
Plato Greckin is an odd one indeed. He is not overly caring, but loyal. He was not particularly intelligent, but had an insatiable craving for knowledge. He was popular, but had no proper friends. During his childhood years, before Hogwarts, his parents were convinced their happy, bright son would be in Hufflepuff.
Over his years at Hogwarts, the boy did not disappoint with close to perfect grades, but an attendance record that was a disgrace. Plato had a few girlfriends, but would find his eyes drawn to the boys across the room. His parents were very much against any sexuality that wasnât straight, causing him to hide that side of himself, a rare occurrence considering he didnât hide most things, especially not his opinion on certain matters.
During University in England, Plato studied Wizarding Economics, with a side taste of the Business Programme. It was a quiet time during his life, which seemed to fly by without any particularly stand out memories. He planned to join the Ministry to appease his family.
The Department of Mysteries had their eye on the boy ever since his graduation (an incident concerning the forbidden forest sparked this interest), and from the minute he left his University, he became an Unspeakable. There was something about his intelligence, yet ability to stay away from undesirable situations and conversations that intrigued them. Sworn to secrecy, he attended work everyday then went home to his two room, mostly empty apartment at night. When Plato turned twenty-six, he met a woman of brilliance, just as he had, but she soon turned pregnant, decided she didnât want to stay with him due to meeting someone new, and so left Plato with their baby daughter.
In between his job and homeschooling his daughter, Plato was left with no time to do anything else, just how he liked it really. That was until Hogwarts was taken from them. He is tempted to join the fight to get it back, and possibly even face off against whomever he needs to in order to protect the future of his daughter and their home (also he has a dream of becoming Headmaster, which would be a massive plus to the situation).
She spent the entire summer in St. Mungoâs, undergoing spellwork and being treated with various potions. By the time school began again, she was able to maneuver a wheelchair, but her healing progress has still been slow and she spends all of her weekends doing physical therapy. Despite what has happened, she believes sheâll be back to full health soon and back on a broom. She still thinks a professional Quidditch career is in her future, and the injury is just a minor setback.

Madison Haleis nineteen years old, she is in her first year of the auror academy , and was formerly in the house Slytherin.
âDonât break someoneâs heart, they only have one. Break their bones, they have 206.â
âł MAGIC
Madison can do almost every offensive spell thatâs taught in school, and is very adept at other spells, everything except casting a patronous. Sheâs secretly terrified itâs because of the fact her father had been involved with dark magic and wizards. No one knows this, but Madison is very, very skilled at casting the Cruciatus curse and practices on bugs and insects.
âł BACKSTORY
Madison grew up far away from the bustle of the city, living in a large country mansion with only her uncle for company caused Madison to become a complete loner with a tendency to get angry at who ever disturbed her peaceful days. He was intent on her becoming a brilliant witch, and so she is fluent in French, Latin and English. Madison also plays the double-bass. She has no memories of her parents. Madison considers her uncle as the sole reason sheâs managed to succeed in her life so fully, and thus is intent on paying him back every sickle he ever used on her education.
Her talent of one of the unforgivable curses comes from when she was nine years old, stumbling across one of her fathers old diaries, which she still keeps close to her to this day. It was filled with illegal and dangerous spells which at the time, seemed exciting as ever to learn. Of course Madison learned these in private while exploring the estateâs forest. This is also where she practiced her elemental power of water.
At the age of eleven she received her Hogwarts letter, which she was more than happy to accept. The animal bought for her was a black owl which she affectionally named Harold. It was no surprise to her that she was sorted into Slytherin, with that house she is easily able to delve into her studies head first without losing her temper at any of the other students. It was also during her second year when her lungs began to deteriorate. Magic was not able to heal them entirely, thus causing a lower stamina threshold, however this never manages to stop her.
Madison, despite her pure blood heritage, has not been given any arranged marriage or any direction in her life at all. She simply has to bring a good light to her family name. Madison loved her time at Hogwarts, spending almost all of her time alone in the library studying. Not many people became friends with her. She took all the necessary subjects in order to join the Auror course and much to her delight they happily accepted her because of the perfect grades she produced and a Hale donation to the program.
Here is a link to an IC chat for real time interactions of characters at Diana Nottâs party for those who want to interact that way instead of/alongside dash interaction. The chat will remain open for a few days. Dash interaction can go on as long as you would like because this party is just getting started..
You can make your chatzy name one of your characterâs names or your own name, but using your own name and then identifying your characters as shown in the following screen shot is what is often easier for those of us playing multiple characters simultaneously rather than switching between several instances of the chat in different tabs and possibly mixing them up. Chatzy is able to be viewed in a mobile browser without downloading an app as well, just so people who want to pop in for a few moments even when they are not at home know.
Happy Timezone Appropriate Greetings, Elementals! I wanted to make sure none of you missed that there is a ball this weekend celebrating Diana Nottâs birthday as announced HERE on Dianaâs blog. Due to multiple members saying they will be more available Friday than the rest of the weekend, the party will start on Friday even though it takes place in universe on a Saturday night. Party activity will be in dash threads and an in character chat weâll keep open Friday through Sunday. You may start but arenât required to start posting party threads as soon as it is midnight in your timezone, or as soon as the party seems to be getting into swing, those of us in America, dragging behind the rest of the RP. You may continue normal activity during the part, naturally, and, conversely, you donât need to have party threads closed by the end of the weekend, as Iâm sure we all learned last time.
Congratulations Rose, on being accepted as your OC Ellie. Did you really think I could accept one part of the pair without the other? I could and I may be that mean, but tonight is not the night for that. I feel like I already know Ellie and her family and I canât wait to witness her journey to peace...or further chaos and where she falls dancing among stories already in progress.
Name/Alias: Rose
Preferred Pronoun:She/her
Age:23
Timezone: GMT-7 (MST)
Activity Level:Alright, usually. Not in December though, sorry.
School Functions: Previously a member of choir, also duelling club
Characterâs Sexuality: Bisexual
Why do you believe this will be a good character in this specific roleplay? My first OC, Sylvia, is valuable because she sits on a tipping point, practically begging to be swayed, which offers a great deal of plotting potential. In some ways, Ellie is the same. Her emotional volatility makes her easily influenced, even though she has pledged to keep her nose out of everything. Also, who doesnât want a spontaneous Canadian auror turned artist gracing their lives with cryptic life advice and then ducking out?

She took up singing in the school choir to occupy her time, but busy hands didnât keep her from getting into trouble. Occasionally she got into fights with others, and frequently she was known to break curfew. Over the summer before their fifth year, Vix began dating a boy from Wampus â Asbjorn Wolfgramm. Â He took private lessons with the girlsâ father after their own lessons.

ELLIE FLETCHER IS PLAYED BY ROSE

The bartender laughed when Ellie requested their most colourful drink, with a sly grin on her face. When he turned to prepare her such a concoction, her face fell. Blue-grey eyes, like storm clouds watched his back. She could feel the buzz of the first drink beneath her skin. She closed her eyes for a second and the past rolled over her.
It was late summer in Vancouver â a time when tourism was still thick, and the waters were warm, at least for the Canadian coast. Ellie stuck her tongue out aggressively at a passing tourist. Likely they had only glimpsed at her â it was hard not to when you had hair burning bright red, but she interpreted it as being stared at. And they laughed at her â those so called friends. They had fuzzy names that she could almost find on her tongue. They thought that was funny too, as if she was purposefully changing their names with every sentence, as if she knew what they were somewhere deep down.
They arrived on the docks, wood and barnacles contrasted with black leather combat boots, red high heels, metallic silver sneakers. Laughter drifted off to sea, they swayed like the waves, skin rising in bumps to the cool breeze, unknown to their swimming minds. Despite the darkening sky, Ellieâs hair continued to burn bright.
Under the water, life was darker than in the night air. Ellie wasnât sure how she had gotten there, but her body felt as if it were part of the water. Muscles, nerves buzzed and swayed, cooling and slowing with water still too cold to stay in without sunâs kiss. She stayed suspended, lungs taunt with air, eyes lax. She considered staying there, letting herself meld with the waves forever more, the water being the closest thing she could feel to her deceased other half. There she felt full again. She felt as if Vix was humming in her ear.
She could picture her in the kitchen, charming cooking utensils to do half the work for her. Ellie couldnât cook. She would sit and watch sometimes, trying to seem busy with something or other on a laptop. Sometimes Vix would catch on, and make her stir the pot. Ellie only would extend her hand and the water would swirl.
Ellie pushed her hand down and she rose to the surface. She inhaled slowly before opening her eyes. She was alone, hair dripping blood into black ink. She felt the cold.
She looked around before pushing her hand down again. Flying up she was on the dock, dripping wet. She watched for a moment as the dock discoloured in the dim light. Stuffing her hands in her pockets, she lifted her head and trudged forward. The lights of downtown Vancouver were still dizzying, and the scents wafting from restaurants made her nauseous. She focused on the cold. She didnât meet anyoneâs eyes as they stared at her drenched locks, fading to a watermelon pink at the tips.
Up eighteen floors, she unlocked her door with a shaking hand. She looked around at the apartment â wooden floor dusty, kitchen clean except for a line of beer bottles on the counter, balcony door, slightly agape. She struggled to remove her sopping combat boots, peeling socks from wrinkled, raw feet. Walking to close the balcony door, she grimaced. If Vix was here, she would have cast a simple spell, and Ellie would have been fine. With this thought, Ellie rested her head against the glass, closing her eyes. She didnât want to look at the cityscape.
It felt like it took a thousand kilograms of force to move her. She turned back into the room, eyes on the floor, tracing her footprints in the dust. She slugged back to the bedroom doors. Hers, was open, her room dark. Vixâs door was white, except for the shadow of grey dust lining the carved designs. She rested her hand on the door handle. Pushing down, it swung open.
It was time to face herself.
âAre you alright?â The bartender asked.
Ellieâs eyes snapped open. Usually the flashbacks were worse. They were filled with screaming, and red, the feeling of a heart about to jump out of her chest, of hot tears running down her face. She wasnât even sure if she could call that a flashback, but it was so vibrant. She could have tasted the salt water.
Her eyes fell upon a vibrant drink in front of her layered pastel pink and blue. This time her smile was smaller, more intimate, less of a show. Her eyes drifted up to the manâs face â a face she had never seen before.
Congratulations, Brie, on your acceptance as your OC Asbjorn. Now I could joke that I am only accepting him because I donât want Rose to cry (or you, but mostly Rose) but that would devalue your character, his rich history, and his plot potential. Please send in your account and get him on the dash right away.

As he grew up his parents started to notice odd happenings and occurrences revolving around AsbjÞrn especially with the kids he got into fights with, when he was angry, or when he had temper tantrums.
At Ilvermorny, Â AsbjĂžrn thrived. Ellie became his best friend? Crush? Auror partner many years later), their titles were really unclear even in present day.

AsbjĂžrn stared up at the danky hotel ceiling with its yellow stained walls and peeling wallpaper. It probably wasnât the safest place to live currently, but fuck it. The intruder would be the one to have a bad day, not him. As he leaned over looking at the alarm clock which read 1:29 a.m., sweat dripped from his forehead. Another sleepless night, another tiring day. He wanted to be doing something Not sitting on his ass waiting for the sun to shine and the old farts who were still âdiscussingâ his position with the Auror department seemed to be taking their damned sweet time. Sure, it had only been a week, but he needed something to do or he would lose his mind. If it wasnât already lost to the dead kiddy molester he dreamt about each and every pule night.
Knowing he was nowhere close to actually going back to sleep the least he could do was find a gym or bar somewhere nearby. The worn down wood floor creaked against the full bearing of his weight. With a steady sigh, he stood. In the pale moonlight his sculpted body stared back at him in the motel mirror. Whip lashes carved his back in an abstract design only an artist would appreciate. Years of undercover work and heavy-weight lifting showed through scars, âbattleâ wounds, and a double jointed right arm.
He threw on a T-shirt, his jacket and graced the chilled air of Scotland. He had been back for all of a week and not much had been eventful enough for his taste. In Norway each day had its own  anxieties. After a while it had become his normal. Seeming âtoughâ, putting wands up to necks, drinking with a bunch of assholes, and relaying information back to MACUSA. A double agent. Course, all that changed. All cause he couldnât keep his temper down. His morality in check.
AsbjĂžrn clenched his teeth with tight fists as he walked down the deserted streets. Though it seemed there were no twenty four hour gyms he could always count a bar to be open at least until three generally.
He walked into the bar, barren as it was and ordered a whiskey straight.
âBusy night?â He asked the bartender the slight accent he had gained for Norway after living there for six years broke through.
âNot really. Youâre not from around here are, ye?â The pretty brunette asked while washing a glass.
âNot originally, use to but that was a lifetime ago. Thanks love.â He smiled taking a sip from his drink.
Even if it was him and a drink he at least could keep himself relatively busy before going into the Ministry ordering a meeting over his impending status. It was torture to wait.
