Their break up was friendly, Niall hugged her tight and left a kiss on her cheek as he left.
Sheās doing great (Niall could say based on her instagram posts) not sign of broken heart, or resentments on her social media towards him.
Niall is lately not trusting his brain anymore. He wants her back.
Heās hasnāt over her yet.
He can feel in his fingerprints the smoothness of her skin, when he was just holding her in the street. He can still remember every freckle on her back and how he loves to count every of them; his favourite activity he can say.
But he remembers her white long shirt, her black jeans and stilettos, her hair flying with the summer wind from London that day. Her smile was radiantly when she reach Niallās spot.
āWhatās wrong? I left as soon I see your desperate textā
āShall we go inside?ā was his only response.
She nods and get into the empty coffee, strange for a Wednesday noon but not surprised because everyone was enjoying the summer.
Niall stare at her a few minutes more, when he took a deep breath and without a glance to her, spoke.
āWe should break up, loveā
āHmm? Can i know why?ā She wasnāt shocked, but impressed.
āThe tour is about to start and we wonāt have time for ourselves anymore, your college its going harder and harder everytime and would be hard to keep in touchā he tried so bad to explain himself.
She seems to get the point though cuz nodded at his direction and start the window a few minutes.
āGuess youāre right. I was afraid to freak out the day after youāre gone. Glad you did it earlier though.ā
This time, Niall was in shock. She is not going to cry? To tell him heās the biggest garbage in world? He doesnāt deserve nothing but being buried in hell? She is justā¦letting him go?
Then, was all whirlwind going down.
After their goodbyes, Niall drive back home, get ready for the upcoming tour and forget about the strange break up with his long term girlfriend.
Until they were on break.
The first leg of the tour was all done successfully, every night was a different adventure for Niall, enjoying with his mates and doing what he loves more - singing.
When the break came, he spend most of his days, buried in a routine that consists: sleep until midday, eat some takeaway, sleep a bit more, catch up some telly and goes back to sleep.
He considers himself a hermit a full week, when they friends drag him into a club night, he had gotten into the conclusion that he miss her.
After their break up he havenāt had the chance to miss her, with the tour around the corner and a lot of things in his head, he cannot let himself miss her.
Although. He started to stalk her deeply every day, wanting to know how she was doing without him.
When he realizes how happy she was, without him he realizes how unhappy was he without her.
So one night, he swallowed his pride (because letās remember he left her) and texted her.
The response hasnāt come until the next day at noon.
āHey there, sorry for the late reply. Iām in Ibiza with some friends enjoying the summer. Saw that everything itās going perfectly with you thoughā
He figured out that he left her the past summer, so theyāve been apart almost a year.
āYeah. Thought ya were for London and wanted to invited ya some pints but see ya r not here so have funā was his response.
He locked his phone, stare himself in the black mirror, and was totally sure that he worst mistake was cut everything with her.
Another night, a few months later, he was working his ass off in the gym when a known brunette ran into him, both sweating and smelly.
āHey! You! Iām sorry. Iām late for an appointment!ā She was running to the door leaving a speechless Niall standing in love.
He doesnāt hesitate and follows her.
āCan I drive you?ā He screams, she turns and smiles.
āOh please. I will appreciate that a lotā
She was late for a catering meeting, her sister was getting married. She the bridesmaid.
Niall was with her because she begged him to stay, they look like they old-themselves.
When he left her in her doorway, she smiled and thanked him for his help.
Two days letter he received the invitation to the wedding.
A week later he was in a court field seeing his ex-girlfriendās sister getting married. Looking at her looking stunning as bridesmaid made him think he should try to get a chance with her again.
He looked at her smiling in the centre of the place, he asked her for a piece and now theyāre looking each other with love.
āI realize something while we were apart.. Iāve missed you every day. I regret the day I came up to you and break everything. Youāre my best muse love, I realised how miserable I am without you. This year had been awful without youā
She looked at him, smiling and say.
āYouāre a dork Niallā and kiss his cheek.
āAgreed. But I am your dorkā he smiles.
āYes you are. Iāve waiting for the day to you coming and telling me that was all a mistake. We have things to sort out yet, but we will make itā she gives him a eskimo-kiss.
āNo matter where I go, I always gonna want you backā he says, and kiss her with nothing but love.
