Trauma is a bitch there's literally not a single problem currently but I still had two consecutive nightmares about it
Community is so important she said self isolatingly
Ya know what? It's hard doing things with PTSD so if you are doing things every day good job! Whoooohooooo baby, you're doing so good at doing tasks that are hard for you. You got out of bed today? Hell yes friend you did it! You went to work even though your brain was being mean to you? Fuck yeah you did. Life is so hard, let's celebrate the small victories when we can
Sometimes it’s not “if they wanted to, they would.” Sometimes it’s “I desperately wanted to, but I’m drowning in my own mind, battling a mental health crisis, and absolutely feeling the crushing weight of disappointing you.”
Andrea Gibson, "DEPRESSION [VERB]", Lord of the Butterflies
Unconditional love isn't a free pass to hurt me.
— David Foster Wallace, The Pale King
Something really not talked about with trauma disorders is the paranoia.
Being scared and jumping to conclusions when people stand a little too close to you, not believing people’s compliments and thinking they have hidden motives, not believing when people tell you they like/love you, thinking that strangers you see on the street want to hurt you, etc.
Sometimes people don’t “get it”. They don’t understand how we can go through what we did and survive. They don’t understand how it affects us and how we can’t just move on. They might not understand a lot of things.
But that’s okay. It isn’t our job to make them “get it”. You don’t owe anyone explanations you don’t want to give.
are you really being too sensitive or are you just going through a lot and anyone in your place would also want to cry? please be compassionate with your own suffering ♥️
you didn't measure up in any measure of a man
