good news! you can’t make sure that everyone will see the correct colors on their own device, but you can make sure your monitor is as accurate as possible for printing and sharing by calibrating it! 

there are a bunch of free monitor tests, but here’s an easy one you can use. the passmark and eizo tests are also pretty good, though passmark doesn’t work in your browser. be warned that some tests may cause eye strain.

you can either use the settings built into your monitor itself or use the display color calibration settings in your operating system to adjust the settings until everything looks correct, and then enjoy your accurate colors.

If you have a big, emotional, self hating meltdown every time someone tells you that you hurt them or crossed a boundary of theirs, then that means you're not a safe person to say no to - and that's something you need to work on. Even if you're genuinely just really upset that you hurt someone, if every attempt at communicating a boundary to you results in the person you hurt having to repeatedly reassure you that you're not actually a bad person, then you need to work on controlling yourself and taking constructive criticism.

Clone Lang Colloquialisms

Trying to come up with actual language vocab seems a bit counterintuitive considering my own headcanon that it’s a constantly changing constructed language that varies literally all of the time, so here’s a list of colloqiualisms or “slangs” (although I debate that term) that I came up with because I don’t want to write my paper:

changing boots - to defect/become a traitor and specifically join the separatists. you’d say “Slick changed boots”, as an example.

threw (their) boots or took his boots off - depending on the context, either deserted or dead

sip - to drink (alcohol), i.e. “do you want to get a sip?” (do you want to go to a bar/go drinking) or “he sipped” (he’s drunk)

jumpers or bouncers - AT-RT pilots

spinning on (their) bucket or bucket spinning -  (along with other variations) aka Battle Giggles, when anyone is so worn down from fatigue and spent adrenaline that they laugh uncontrollably hard at something that isn’t that funny. Everyone goes through it at some point.

“It’s soup” - a play on “It’s SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)”

broke/flipped (their) codpiece/belt - it’s a bit on the nose but refers to sexual relations, i.e. “he flipped his belt under the bar at 79s” (the broke here isn’t understood to be violent/painful but more like being so hasty/excited that one breaks it)

skipper - a newer term specifically for perky shinies for their tendency to hastily walk (or “skip”) to receive and perform their orders

bucket bashing - arguments between clones of any rank, but specifically with the understanding that their fight is stupid and petty, i.e. “they were bashing buckets over the end seat in the mess today”

Hand wavers - Jedi

Buzzed - when a laser flies really close to ones head, i.e. “I got buzzed once the larty touched down”

Clipped or chipped - specifically when a laser nearly hits ones shoulder plate

Floating - on a star destroyer if not any other type of space-capable ship, i.e. “are you on coruscant?” / “No we’re floating.” It’s vague enough so as not to give details of location

Battle blues and battle bugs - oft said to happen just to Shinies (although everyone knows better) the first is the depressive episode that forms for many clones after a battle, and the second is a continued adrenaline rush/sense of hyperactivity/anxiety after coming back from battle. The most common “remedy” for both is target practice.

Desk humper - a derogatory term for deck officers and non-battlefront clones that handle administrative duties. In certain contexts, it also refers to clones who want to desert (the understanding being they’d rather work in an office than be on the field)

Pants - another word for deck officers

Not a vocab term, but there’s an assumption/stereotype that newer clones are “higher maintenance” because they’ve been exposed to many more aspects of civilian life and so develop things like picky eating (by clones standards) and the Shinies get ribbed by the vets a lot for it

Haunted - not used often, but used when describing specifically a long-time vet who’s noticeably changed from the typical outgoing shiny to a very quiet, almost barely present person (it’s depression that refused to be named).

Spinning, dizzy, or star crossed - describes a clone who’s in love with their general

Thumb sucker - derogatory term for shinies

vat cleaner - another derogatory term for shinies, but mostly also refers to cadets on Kamino

Tourist guide - a word to describe veterans or other clones who’ve gotten a taste of civilian life exactly once but think themselves the experts on it
