the problem with the gay hockey show is that the acting is great, the lighting is great, the music and costuming are great, the care taken is incredible, but you can't recommend it to normal people without sounding like a pervert

HEATED RIVALRY SEASON ONE + hall of fame text posts
HEATED RIVALRY 1.06: THE COTTAGE + HRTwT VERSION
supporting the shane as snoopy agenda
[ilya as woodstock], [ilya as woodstock pt. 2]
A full fuck you to everyone who calls Opalite mv cringe. I’ll never forgive you for losing “Spelling is fun!” Silly Taylor is a treasure that should be protected at all costs. It’s really fucking hard to be so vulnerable and goofy in the face of the world’s cynicism.
Please does anybody have the picture of the orange kitten sitting in front of old yellowed wood paneling and it’s smiling like this. The post where I saw it went something like “little kids before they learn how to smile in photos”
this one?
THANK YOUUUUUU
do you guys remember the Old Guard. remember when there was a major mainstream hollywood action scifi motion picture starring hot women with guns where gay people kissed on the mouth passionately. and the movie was both critically and financially successful. that movie feels like a fucking fever dream. i'll never achieve the high i got when that movie came out ever again
I think one of the saddest parts of TTPD is that she’s back in the passenger seat.
In Lover, folklore, and evermore she talked about being in the drivers seat.
“I’ll drive”
“I pulled up and said get in the car”
“I parked my car”
“Pulled the car off the road”
And now she’s back to asking him to drive the car
“I’m telling him to floor it”
“You steered straight into the ditch”
It feels like she wants it to be easier. Like she’s tired.
It makes me think of the connection between Getaway car and Paris
“Let the only flashing lights be the tower at midnight”
She didn’t want to be in a getaway car. She wanted to stay in that love.
This is a stupid conversation! and I'm not going to continue it! literally so fucking correct
What I’m really proud of is the fact that he made SURE the audience understood why the caller was being an idiot. He made a PERFECT comparison, gave the caller an honest chance to re-evaluate and change his mind. His point landed, everyone knew it, even the caller (note his pause and almost hesitancy after being asked).
But when the caller decided to bulldoze on anyway, because god forbid actually listen to the other person in the conversation, the expert cut him off and refused his time. And good for him.
[VD: A tweet by @ g33kgurli, tweeted at 9:47 PM on Dec 17, 2021. It reads, "Perhaps the best clap back to antivaxxers and antimaskers." Attached is a video from The Thom Hartmann Program, where Hartmann is talking with a caller. The conversation goes as follows:
Caller: Hey Thom. Uh, I was listening to you for the last hour so, um, I heard survival of the fittest. Um, you know some of us choose not to vaccinate and uh--
Hartmann: You're nuts, Nicholas.
Caller: --because we work very hard about staying fit, eating healthy, and our natural immune system.
Hartmann: So Nicholas if you're so healthy, would you have unprotected sex with somebody who has syphilis or gonorrhea?
Caller: You're missing the point.
Hartmann: No, I'm not missing the point. They're contagious diseases. Would you have unprotected sex with somebody who has syphilis and gonorrhea and not worry about it because you're so healthy?
Caller: [pause] No, I wouldn't do that.
Hartmann: Okay, then why would you expose yourself to covid without having some protection?
Caller: Because the protection is my natural immunity.
Hartmann: No, it's not. Tell that--
Caller: Yes, yes, my natural immune system--
Hartmann: Tell that to eight hundred thousand dead Americans. Nicholas, this is- this is a stupid conversation and I'm not going to continue it.

Everyone who’s ever died of a disease had an immune system
I recently had surgery, and at the time I came home, I had both my cat and one of my grandma's cats staying with me.
- Within hours of surgery, I wake up from a nap to my cat gently sniffing at my incisions with great alarm.
- I was not allowed to shower the first day after surgery, and the cats, seeing that The Large Cat is not observing its cleaning ritual, decided I must be gravely disabled and compensated by licking all the exposed skin on my arms, face, and legs.
- I currently have to sleep with a pillow over my abdomen because my cat insists on climbing on top of me and covering my incisions with her body while I sleep (which is very sweet but not exactly comfortable without the pillow). She also lays across me facing my bedroom door, presumably on guard for attackers who may try to harm me while I'm sleeping and injured.
That's love. 🐈⬛🐈❤️
cats are so very unclear on what is wrong with us but they want to help
Last time I had a really bad migraine my cat curled herself round my head and purred sympathetically, and actually stayed there through two of her normal mealtimes. It wasn't until I was able to stagger to the kitchen and grab a protein bar for myself that she gave a very small, polite miaow to the effect of "while you're up... could you get something for me too?"
She does look exceptionally polite and caring, it has to be said. 💜

I have been waiting all year to post this.
Will it hit a million notes today?
Will it hit 2 million notes today?
I think the simplest way to hide the heartbreak is to obscure it with another lesser loss. If everybody is looking at the obvious, they won’t see all the tiny bits you write to about your favourite shade of blue.
She can do it with a broken heart.
i'm not going to say that you have to be a die hard original swiftie to understand and appreciate tortured poets because i think thats stupid but i do think part of the reason why its struck with ~older~ swifties so much is because its such a return to form but in a new and original way..... i've seen so many people say taylor admits to things on this album that they wouldn't admit to with a gun to their heads and its like well yeah thats kinda the point! thats the crazy bitch we fell in love with! that's the girl who made us feel like she had read our diaries and put our innermost thoughts into songs! thats the girl who went on ellen and fucking blasted joe jonas to the world! we love her!
The events of 2016 coming up once again on this album really proves to me that Taylor goes back to that place mentally and emotionally whenever negative emotions are triggered for her. And that is so devastating to see.
and are the poetry or literature or brains in the room with us right now?
I am deeply obsessed with the manuscript as the closing track of the anthology. returning to that first big life altering heartbreak, the one that inspired some of the most acclaimed and beloved work of her career, but it's a distant past now and it's almost as though it happened to someone else. and then, in the wake of all the intense loss and turbulence that the past two hours have documented, she knows what the agony was for. because just like all that now remains of that past relationship is the art that came out of it — including all too well, a song that was changed for her over the years into something beautiful and joyful — one day all that will remain of this period will be this manuscript, this album and all its feelings that eventually won't even be hers anymore but will belong to her past self and to its future listeners.
