9. does your muse think violence is ever warranted?

No - absolutely not. Nalini is a gentle person by nature, and while she understands there is violence in the world, and that people she cares about often commit it, I don’t think she’s ever truly believed in its necessity. It will never be her default in handling any situation, and she prefers not to acknowledge it when committed by others.

Nalini’s greatest fear is losing the people she loves, whether that be through unforeseen circumstances or the physical driving away of them. It’s soemthing she has had happen to her too many times to count now, but it doesn’t get easier for her each time.

2. how does your muse handle grief?

Badly. Nalini is prone to tears in all occasions, both when she is happy or sad, and grief brings them forward dramatically. She also never really heals from her grief, instead choosing to carry it with her, burden herself with it, and shape herself around it. She ends up blaming herself for it. She does not have healthy coping mechanisms.

goldenrod :   does your muse believe in luck or fortune ?  why or why not ?   where do they believe these things come from ?  

Nalini does believe in luck, but she also believes that it has deserted her. Her belief is linked to her religion, and the concept of karma. She hopes that by practising kindness, luck and fortune will come her way, and is waiting patiently for that. She’s seen little evidence of it so far. 

mint :   does your muse view themself as virtuous   &   moral ?  what do these words mean to them ?

I think that she does. She knows she has made immoral decisions, and she carries the weight of that, but at her core Nalini is a good person, she’s aware of that, and considers that a virtuous thing. In most of the things she does, she puts others first and herself second, which for her is what morality is.

holly :   how strong is your muse’s sense of intuition ?are they aware of it ?do they ever fear that it is only paranoia ?

This is a really interesting question to me, because in a lot of ways, Nalini is very intuitive, but it stems from her capacity for empathy. She is able to anticipate people’s moods, and provide them with the right form of comfort they need, and is highly emotionally intelligent, which in itself leads to a form of intuition. However, in terms of the wider world, and even her own actions when it pertains to her own life, she can be remarkably clueless. She does have quite a developed sense of intuition, but she just doesn’t know that she can trust it. 

lotus :   has your muse ever felt as though they’ve been reborn ?have they ever desired the feeling of a fresh start ,   or a better understanding of themself and/or the world around them ?

I don’t think Nalini has ever felt reborn. She is able to reflect on her life and see how each choice led to the next, and helped her shape herself as a person, but there has never been a feeling of transformation or rebirth - just adding to the existing structures. She dos, however, crave a fresh start badly, but she will never reach for it. A better understanding of the world is something she desperately needs, but for now, I think she’s happier in her ignorance.
