Ok so Rarijack, Appledash and Flutterdash are all PEAK yuri ships and I like them all but my ONE problem with Appledash isn’t even a problem with the ship itself, it’s the FANART. Don’t get me wrong, the fanart is absolute peak, but they always make rainbow dash the BOTTOM, she is NOT a bottom. Like yeah, applejack isn’t really either, but why is it ALWAYS rainbow dash😭😭 like can they rotate or something idk💔

Why is it that when people see a gay couple where one is blond and the other is brunette/has black hair, they immediately compare it to another gay couple who also applys to that 😭😭 like no they’re not parallels or “each other in a different universe” just because they have the same hair color 💔

I find kinda interesting that most beauty standards are basically the idea of looking “younger” but I don’t think people realize that most of those beauty standards relate or reference actual children. Specifically, babies or kids before puberty. Like having no body hair, soft features, big eyes, long lashes, looking natural, clear skin, a petite figure, etc. Isn’t it weird that what we find features that only babies or young kids have the most attractive?

And isn’t also weird that most couple stereotypes are having a tall man and short woman, the man is the protector, the man drives her places, he does the talking for her, she does what he says, etc. Sounds almost like a father and his child right?

And why is it that men push these stereotypes more than women? Sure women also push these stereotypes, but probably because a man told her it was right when she was younger. Why is that? Because men came up with those stereotypes.

And why do women try to make themselves literally look like children to appeal to men? And why is that what men find attractive?

I’m not trying to hate on men, because at this point I think that most men just do it subconsciously, probably because that’s what they’re told when they’re younger, but that doesn’t make it okay

Now that ep 9 of tadc is FINALLY on YouTube, I can talk about it. I saw the final episode in theaters on June 4 and tbh I didn’t really like it. A lot of things felt rushed and unexplained. For example, Jax’s abstraction was really sudden and we didn’t really get any time to process it. We did spend a lot of time focusing on what happened when Pomni like “entered” abstracted Jax, but we still didn’t really have that explained much either.

Also, the company made the digital circus kinda got forgotten a little bit. Why and how the characters got into the circus was completely left unexplained and WHY didn’t they escape? And are the characters like a digital copy of their human selves? WE DONT KNOW because it wasn’t explained.

The last episode felt very unpredictable, and normally that’s good, but like because of its unpredictability, it didn’t really feel satisfying. It didn’t really feel like everything came full circle. And sometimes leaving a little bit of mystery is also a good thing, but I just feel like they didn’t really execute that well.

The episode overall just wasn’t satisfying and didn’t really feel executed well.

Edit : A lot of people are kind of upset about me complaining about how it was “unexplained” and they’re kinda right, what I was trying to say was I felt like there was still parts that were missing and there was more to explore. So “unexplained” wasn’t the right word, but I just feel like there’s more to find out about everything.

Edit 2 : people upset about what I said about Jax’s abstraction, and I know why Jax’s abstraction was abrupt, like I understand why but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. And the main reason I don’t like it is because the “abruptness” of it didn’t feel executed well, like I know what they were trying to do I just don’t feel like they did it “right”

Can we just talk abt the alt community right now? Like with especially the stores because WHY are we shopping at fast fashion companies for alt fashion? Like what happened to thrifting, vintage shopping and supporting small business? I’m not saying you’re not alt for shopping at major stores because everyone’s gonna do that, but I’m talking abt buying from Amazon (like a lot), shein, temu, etc. And also Hot topic just feels like it’s slipping into fast fashion. All the products are poorly made, they are major trend hoppers and basically the entire store is just merch at this point. It just seems less like a place for alternative people and more just a place for whatever’s popular right now.

Also another thing that just feels off abt the alt community is the standards. Like it feels like they’re constantly pushing you into a label and then mad when you aren’t good enough at it. Why are we genuinely gonna get slimed out for ourselves grunge when we’re actually emo? Or getting cyber bullied for saying you’re Y2k when you’re actually just scene? I get not wanting people to say something’s the wrong aesthetic but why can’t we just politely say “Hey just btw that style’s called punk, not goth , it’s ok a lot of people make that mistake” and we need to stop calling everyone a poser all the time because it now it just feels like you’re never doing enough. Like you meet all the “requirements” to be alt, but you don’t listen to enough alt music, you don’t wear enough alt jewelry, you don’t wear enough alt makeup, etc. And now you’re getting jumped for “claiming” to be alt, because ig you need to be pushing yourself so hard to be even accepted by the community.

I just wish we could go back to having fun and experimenting with less specific labels. I don’t say I’m a certain aesthetic anymore because I like not getting bullied.
