Fireworks Festival
Amber had been anticipating this festival for quite some time now. Not only were the fireworks a sight to behold, but she enjoyed the food that’d be sold by vendors on the boardwalk immensely.
Her outfit was a little more “modern” compared to what she’d usually wear back at Arcadia, but Amber didn’t mind. A little change every now and then wasn’t so bad, especially if it made her feel more like she was a part of Leuda,

The new coworker was loud. And very cheerful. Not at all like him, who preferred the quiet. But she kept on asking questions, and generally just being… Annoying. He didn’t even know her, and he wasn’t too interested in getting to know her either.
So when Kamil walked into work today, he tried not to sigh too heavily as he was greeted with the brightest hello and also tackled. “H-Hello, Amber. I hope everything has been going well in the shop?”
After giving him an enthusiastic tackle first thing in the morning, Amber looked up at Kamil with a bright smile. “Morning, Kam!”
At his question, she nodded proudly. “Yep! I already sorted all the new seeds in the vegetable section-- all by myself, too!” She gestured to the side of the shop, which was in fact arranged quite neatly.
“But enough about work! You should tell me more about yourself, Kam!” Despite knowing each other for some time, Amber couldn’t say she was sure that Kamil considered her a friend as much as she did for him. At best, they could be seen as good acquaintances, but today, she was even more determined than usual to change that! Now, if she could only get him to talk even just a little...

One could say that running behind on birthdays was Ella’s specialty. However, no matter how slow she was on someone’s birthday, she somehow managed to get to them just before the clock struck midnight. Even though she worked today, she kept her friend’s main gift, a glass flower bracelet, on her person, intent on delivering it herself as soon as she could. Just before she went to see Amber, she swung by Mon Cherry to pick up an apple pie as well.
With a small smile across her face, she held out the box,and small gift bag, which also had a toy flower popping out from the top. “Happy Birthday, Amber! Sorry for my lateness! Hehe…”
“But!! I hope your birthday was a wonderful and full of yummy treats! Hopefully, we can spend the next one together!”
As soon as the doorbell was rung, Amber came racing to the door. “Coming~ ♪ ” When she finally arrived, she was shocked to find Ella standing at the porch at this hour. Expecting an explanation as soon as she opened up, she was instead met with something completely different: a happy birthday.
“Wha-- Ella! Really, for me!?” She took the bag and took the briefest glance into it before focusing on Ella in front of her. It was difficult to withhold her natural curiosity, but for the sake of her friend, she knew she had to if she wanted to be nice.
“Of course we can!” Amber replied right away. “It doesn’t even have to be my birthday to have fun, y’know. Everything already is when you’re around, after all. ♪ ”

Lanna had picked up a cake that she thought was absolutely peeerfect for Amber! It was green and pink with flowers and she was turning 20 today, right?
When the green haired girl walked through the door, Lanna held up the cake in hand and started singing unfortunately melodiously to her.
“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you~ Happy birthday to Amber, happy birthday to youuuu!~ Yay! I hope you have a great day! Also I hope you liked the cake~”

Amber had assumed that her housemates were too busy to celebrate or had forgotten her birthday, so when she returned home that evening, she was rather surprised to find Lanna singing her happy birthday right in front of the door.
As the song came to an end, Amber found it difficult to contain her glee any longer. “Lanna! ♪ ” She lunged forward to give her friend a hug, but remembering that she had a large cake in her hands, she stopped herself mid-way. Phew, that was a close one. She instead opted for words this time around.
“I can’t believe you remembered! Well, I can, but–! I’m just super happy!” Amber practically bounced as she spoke. “Let’s have the cake already, I’m starving~ ♪”
A New Housemate || Amber & Yuzuki

Yuzuki had to stand there for a moment. Lanna? Did he really look like her? He just looked down at her, slightly speechless that a man of his height was able to be mistaken for someone that was approximately a foot shorter than him and a different hair color… different facial structure… different fashion tastes… different… everything.
“Um…. No. Did she not tell you that you were moving in with two people?” Yuzuki asked. “My name’s Yuzuki Kisaragi. I’m your other housemate.”
Amber watched in confusion as Lanna (?) suddenly froze. Why did she just stop talking? Several seconds passed in complete silence until she would speak again. As Yuzuki revealed his identity, Amber’s expression slowly morphed from confused to enlightened. “Huh... Oh, wait, she did!” That made some sense! She knew there was something off about Lanna’s voice. “I completely forgot, hehe ~ ♪ ”
At his introduction, Amber offered her hand with a joyful smile. “Nice to meet you, Yuzuki. ♪ I’m Amber! Let’s be friends from here on out, ‘kay?”

To her housemates, she felt the need to give them a token of appreciation. They were good neighbors and generally fun people to hang around. Even if one person told her not to hang a picture of herself above the stove for reasons. Anyway, when Lanna came home, she waited for both of them to come home before handing each of them a yellow rose and white freesia.

Upon being presented with the two flowers, Amber’s face lit up like a christmas tree. They were so... pretty! She hadn’t expected to come home to such a nice surprise.
“For me!? This is the best!” Taking them close to her face, she inhaled deeply before giggling lightly. “Thank you, Lanna, hehe. ♪”

Flowers for Two

Before she left the house that morning, Amber left two bouquets of flowers by her two roommates’ bedroom doors. For Yuzuki, she had placed white freesias and purple irises, thinking it’d fit the gentle man very much, and for Lanna, she slipped in some yellow gerberas and white freesias to suit her similarly bright nature.
Once that was done, the only thing left to do was write a quick note for them both. Tearing out a couple of sheets from her notebook, she included the same message for each:
“Happy Flower Festival! With much love, Amber ♥ P.S. You should try nibbling it. It tastes great!”
