Also, I kinda figured it would happen, since those bullies were very much giving off unresolved repeated minor antagonists vibes, but like. Of all the people to survive (and subsequently not suffocated by Soleum) it had to be those two.
More info on what Soleum’s body was doing before he arrived! Looks like he made a habit of going to the washroom to grab drinkable water, since his Z999 room didn’t have any running water. Makes me wonder how long he’s been in the Z999 room for his bullies to know about and take advantage of the broken CCTV.
Very sad, lizard body theory has been disproven. Soleum looked into a mirror and didn’t make any comments on his appearance, so he looks like what he expects himself to be. Unless the being able to see Us was a Good Friend exclusive ability, in which case there’s still hope.
Also, I know Soleum’s been even more unhinged and reckless lately, but like. To me it feels almost like he’s treating this like the Sekwang exploration? The constant sense of danger and desire to hold out but also the feeling of having a safety net to fall back into. He’s not trying to uselessly throw his life away, but he’s also not acting like he’s afraid of his own death so much as he is of the people around him.
And we get another showcase of Kim “Being able to carry/tackle a grown adult with his bare hands is normal” Soleum! How can he address the elephant without actually addressing the elephant?
To everyone hoping for Saheon POV (honestly same) imagine if we do get one, but it’s a giant recap summary of everything that’s happened since Soleum got sent home 3 years ago up until now and ends on the same cliffhanger as today’s chapter. I would scream, but also laugh because how long can we milk this particular cliffhanger for?
