Abel getting excused from school by his dad in a holding cell is top tier. I can just picture him trudging home, digging around the crusty ass socks under the bed in his parent's room and Abel isn't sure if those socks are crusty because of the time a magical leech got into the apartment or the time his other dad was brainwashed to be evil and wasn't home for a few months. Whatever the reason, he wishes he was in algebra instead.

He transforms, grabs Adam's pack of smokes, and heads to the police station as a twenty foot tall monster rampages through down town and it's treated as a minor inconvenience by people.

Abel gets Adam released from the cop shop, they defeat the monster, and Abel has to stay after school to do his missed test

No! That’s perfect! I was struggling to figure out where to put Lucifer! I knew we wanted him as the romantic interest, but I couldn’t make it work when he’s technically the devil.

That could be the big twist! Lucifer is also the Demon King! And accidentally falls in love with this 36 year old magical girl while trying his hand at being good for once.

Adam thinks Lilith is the great evil queen controlled by the Demon King, but she’s actually controlled by Roo, the true evil of the story. And even though they’re not married anymore, Lilith is still someone he cares about and wants to rescue under the disguise of Tuxedo Mask since no one would actually help the Demon King.

Lilith could also be a childhood friend of Adam’s, too. Like, she was once adopted into his family to arrange a marriage between her and Adam, but that all fell apart when Eve came and Lilith moved away after high school.

Is this too convoluted? I’m trying to flesh it out better.

So does the Evil Queen Lilith come to the human world to use her voice to corrupt people, turn them into monsters of their vices? Thats a magical girl trope i'd say. And Adam has to do a whole ass transformation sequence and beat the everloving shit out of the monster until they're no longer coherent enough for Lilith to control.

Also imagining Lucifer watching Adam disappear into a beam of holy light only to come out in a miniskirt and thong combo.

And then Adam goes in for a high kick, nearly straight up flashing everyone in the vicinity, and Lucifer decides not to look a gift horse in the mouth. In the distance, Abel covers his eyes and groans.
