Imagine finding out you have 90 minutes to tie up a love story that's developed over thousands of years. You create something beautifully in character and completely on point for the plot. You pay homage to the original writer's legacy in a fitting and poetic way and create an ending that not only shows the depth of two people's love for each other but the wider love they have for the thing that brought them together in the first place.

And then you go online to find the loudest outcry is that everyone hates it and "THEY DIDN'T EVEN KISS!"

I feel sorry for people who didn't get anything out of that stunning finale.

Wonder what pairing I should do that for.....Ah I`ll just do it for, lets say Janai and Amaya. For no particular reason really. None at all. /s It shouldn´t bother her at all. Not even a little bit.

They weren´t together. Weren´t a couple.

And yet the way that this elvish noble interacted with the new sunfire queen irritated Amaya. To anyone else It looked like they were just talking. But the way she was holding eye contact. Inching closer to Janai ever so slightly. And not to mention the subtle touches, brushing against her with every other gesture.

She had seen that before, even been on the receiving end of such advances while she served as queenguard to Sarai. She knew exactly how nobles charmed their way into whatever they wanted.

Surely this wasn´t any different. No ofc not. Just another noble trying to gain something. Not like she was the only one these days but still. She seemed almost too friendly.

Watching the exchange she only noticed Gren when he was already standing next to her.

"What are you doing?" "Nothing." She shrugged.

He followed her gaze and smirked.

"I see. So nothing is bothering you?" "No. Why?" "Because you´re tense. And it´s not stress. You would hit training dummies with your shield if it were" "I could make that problem" she pointed at the noble, "go away if I would. Not the worst idea." "No it is. Horrible idea actually. And it wouldn´t help your case" "Which would be?" Unbeknowns to Amaya the queen did actually notice her human ´friend´ watching her with a rather tense expression. She also noticed what the noble was doing. Outright denying her advances would have been considered rude since she was technically available. But not really. And she could not afford discord at the moment. But she needed to do something about that or more "official" proposals would start to appear. And she did not want that to happen.

(Might do a part 2 Idk. This little bit took me 2 hours O.o)
