Here is a list of my original pieces & stuff Iâve done from prompts. Most of my stuff doesnât have a title because I can never think of one. If you have any requests, please drop them in my asks, send a message, whatever!
Iâm still getting to know what kinds of stories I enjoy writing, but Iâve been obsessed with hero x villain tropes & whump.Â
Also want to note this is my side-blog so I havenât been able to reply to comments on my posts but I do see them and greatly appreciate :)
If you want to be tagged in anything, just let me know ^^
Superhero cursed themself for taking so long to infiltrate Lair. It had taken them a while to realize that Villain had sent a minion in their stead. Longer than Superhero cared to admit. It had taken them even longer to realize that Hero hadn't returned to Base.
They knew that had meant only one thing. Somehow Hero had been caught in a trap with Villain and hadn't been able to get out. "I'm coming, Hero. Just hold on. I'm nearly there."
Lair was eerily silent. Superhero had expected an ambush waiting for them. But no one was there. This had to be good, right? "Hero," Superhero called. There was no reply.
Superhero tried the first door in a long hallway near the entrance. Since Lair appeared empty, they didn't have to worry too much about causing a loud commotion. They could take their time in their search for Hero. The bedroom was empty. Superhero left the door open so they could remember they already searched this room.
They could hear faint sobbing coming from behind the next door. "I'm here, Hero, don't cry. I'm here," Superhero said as they kicked open the door. Superhero froze.
Hero wasn't crying. Villain was. They sat in a chair near the door, head in their hands as they sobbed.
"Where's Hero?" Superhero asked tersely from the doorway. They wanted to get the answer from Villain before they knocked Villain unconscious.
"I went too far," Villain sobbed. "I'm so sorry, Hero. I....I went too far."
Superhero's mouth went dry. Too far? They looked around the room. "No," they said as they saw Villain's bed. They rushed to the bed. "NO!" They screamed as they could fully see what lay on the bed.
Hero was completely naked, save for the cuffs on their wrists and ankles that kept them pinned to the bed, a ball gag lay on the pillow next to them. Two bright red hand prints covered Hero's neck. But the thing that had Superhero's heart breaking, the thing that brought Superhero to their knees was Hero's eyes. Hero's empty, lifeless eyes.
"I went too far," Villain sobbed loudly. "It was fun. We were having fun. I thought we were having fun. I tried to bring them back. But...I went too far."
Superhero rounded on Villain. They were going to make Villain suffer. They were going to wipe Villain from the face of the earth. "HOW DARE YOU!"
Villain barely fought back. They were no match for Superhero when Superhero was at their full power. They were no match for Superhero's wrath at seeing Hero dead in their bed. Villain didn't stand a chance. Superhero only stopped once they were sure every trace of Villain had been wiped from existence.
Superhero turned back to the bed, sorrow filling them once more. They had failed Hero. Hero had been counting on them. And they had failed. It didn't matter that they had destroyed Villain to avenge Hero. Hero was gone.
"I'm sorry I was too late," Superhero said softly as they brushed Hero's hair off their face. "I'm sorry." They gently uncuffed Hero's wrists and ankles. "I am sorry you suffered," they whispered as they wrapped Hero in a sheet. They couldn't bear to cover Hero's face though. They weren't ready. "I'm sorry this happened to you."
They lifted Hero into their arms. Hero's head lolled on their neck. "I am so, so sorry, Hero." Superhero began to walk from the room. "I won't leave you here in this place. I won't let this be where you stay." Superhero's tears were flowing freely at this point. They had failed Hero in so many ways when it had counted. And now they had to live with it. While Hero did not.
They stared down into Hero's face once last time. "I promise you won't be forgotten, Hero. I promise I will live every day trying to make up for failing you. Please," Superhero sobbed, "please forgive me."
seeing people say "this trope has been done to death" as if that's ever stopped anyone from eating bread. BREAD HAS BEEN DONE TO DEATH FOR LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF YEARS AND WE STILL WANT MORE BREAD. write your chosen one AU. write your coffee shop meet-cute. write your 47th iteration of "there was only one bed" because guess what??? we're still hungry.
The first three paragraphs are a prompt from @/autocrats-in-love (prompt 686). Not entirely sure how the whole writing with prompts works since this is my first time posting a Hero x Villain thing, so I wrote this in a reblog and made it a separate post.
Iâll probably stick to just posting in the future though.
â
The villain grabbed the hero's ankle. The hero looked down at the bloody, dying form below them.
"You're making a mistake," the villain said. "No one will ever love you again. Not like I did."
The hero smiled. It was a broken, painful thing. A tear streaked down their cheek. "I hope not. I can't have any more bodies on my hands."
âItââ Villain took a breath, trying to breathe through the pain as the ground pushed against the wound in their abdomen. âItâs not t-too late; yâ Hero â loveâŚ! You can still save me. PleaseâŚâ
Hero looked over them, their eyes sad and worried through the tears which threatened to drop down into the dirt that was currently caking Villainâs blood together into thick disgusting clots. Villain could see it there within them â the planning; the consideration; the concern. Hero wanted to save them. But a want is different than a need, and currently their mission was hanging heavy over their head as the biggest need in the universe. They needed to complete it.
Even if that meant Villain dying.
Still smiling, Hero clenched their fist and said, âYou know thatâs not possibleââ
âNoââ
They lent down and took Villainâs chin in their gentle, unclenched fist. ââLove,â they added in a breath.
âIt is!â Villain begged, their own tears already streaming down their face. They could hardly breathe; if Hero didnât make the choice to save them soon then it really would be too late.
But it wasnât yet.
It was such an odd sight. The all-powerful Villain who had once killed Supervillain and was well set on the way to take over the evil divisions, terrifying in the eyes of many of the heroes themselves; now here at Heroâs feet. Bloody, bleeding, and dying; tears streaming down their cheeks, as their voice begged to be saved â to be held â for their love.
âLove,â Hero repeated. It wasnât directed at Villain though â more like it was a realization.
âYes â love!â Villain sobbed, reaching up for Heroâs hand which still held their face ever so gently. Villain could barely feel the warmth in Heroâs touch; only their own breath as it hitched in their throat then kept going again, but not for much longer. âLove,â Villain begged again, calling Hero the word once more; always more. âPlease; love.â
All of a sudden, in an instant, Villain could feel where Heroâs hand was grabbing their face. Their eyes opened wide just as quickly, but they didnât find the golden eyes of a healing spell in Heroâs gaze. Only a calming, cool blue.
âNoâŚâ
âI do love you, Villain.â
âNoââ
âMy loveâŚâ Hero corrected.
Villain huffed â in and in and in over and over again; they could hardly speak anymore with their own lungs trying to drown them with too much air. âLetâ me-goâŚâ
âBut, my love.â Hero got down on their knees and brought their fist up to Villainâs face. They wouldnât release it â they couldnât now that it had built up so much power. They didnât even graze Villainâs cheek with it, and yet Villain looked at it with fear and anger. âYou told me not to leave you,â Hero said.
Villain couldnât breathe.
But that mattered less and less as the blue in Heroâs eyes pierced through their irises and bled into their whites.
Once upon a time Villain thought the color suited them; and even now perhaps it did. But they couldnât have hated it more. They hated it! More than anything! When theyâd once said they wanted Hero to let the darker sides of their power shine through more often, this isnât what they meant.
âI wonât leave you,â Hero remarked. âYou wonât have to die alone; and I can ease the pain quickly.â
âN-nâŚâ
Hero touched their fist to Villainâs cheek, it burning through their skin in a fit of power which Villain could not fend off with the state they were in. And then Heroâs other hand started burning hotter too.
Villain wouldâve cried, but with the heat so close anything that managed to make it to their eyes instantly evaporated.
They were in so much pain. They couldnât bear it anymore. The only reason they were still alive now was because of their power, but even that was draining.
You could only hold your breath for so long underwater after all. And now Villain was starting to only see blue.
Heroâs last âI love youâ was hardly a muffled echo in their ears, as Heroâs power surged deep into their skin and through to the deepest depths of their skull. In a single instant, Villainâs power was wiped out like a stray ember crushed between someoneâs fingers.
When they lay there on the ground of blood and ash, Hero stared but only for a moment. âMy biggest mistake ever made, love,â they whispered to the ash.
And then they stood, like it never happened, and kept going with a pained smile on their face.
They had a Superhero to kill, and a heroes division to take over.
â
And itâs all full circle!! Imagine this Hero becomes known as a Villain one-day, and Superhero â seeing as they were their mentor and doing some shady stuff that earned Hero wanting their death â as a Supervillain. Then one day, now known as Villain, they fall in love with a new Hero. The Hero was always afraid to hurt people with their power, but Villain told them that power suited them.
Something happens a lot later on where that Hero finds out some shady stuff about their mentor, the newest Superhero; and plans to kill them. Letting their power take over, their emotions are slowly erased until all that matters to them is superheroâs blood on their hands, even at the cost of their love â Villainâs â life.
AND THEN ITS NOT JUST A CIRCLE ITS A LOOP MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAâ
This means Hero/Villain keeps falling in love with themself over and over again lol
Villain presses Hero into the wall behind them, teeth at their neck. Hero rolls their head back, giving access, as their hands slide under their Nemesis' jacket.
"We really shouldn't." They sigh, without any real protest.
Villain snorts against their jaw. "I disagree. You said that last time too." They nip Hero's neck, as they let out a surprised sound.
Hero's hands slide further, brushing against a cold handle. They pull it out suddenly, dangling the dagger in front of Villain warily. "Again? I thought we agreed no weapons."
"Sorry love, force of habit." They say, hand curling around Hero's, prying their fingers so the blade falls to the ground with a thump, kicking it away.
Before anything else can be said, Villain is lifting Hero by their thighs and pressing them back once again, only to feel a hard object. They lift the back Hero's shirt delicately with their cold hands and pulls out the revolver.
"You're one to talk." They retort. Villain unloads it before tossing it to the nearest surface.
"Okay, that's different, I always carry that." Hero said. They didn't spare the weapon a second glance, leaning in closer while pushing Villain's jacket down their shoulders. The heat was rising between them, and right as their lips met, Hero felt something else strapped to their back.
Pulling back suddenly, they unholster yet another weapon.
"Okay, a taser is just excessive." Hero admonishes, holding the small black device between them.
Villain doesn't appear the slightest bit sheepish, taking it from their grasp gently.
"It's the bare minimum, truly." They say, as if its the simplest thing in the world.
"Wow, kinky."
"Oh hush, not for that." Villain responds, shushing Hero playfully, with a finger to their lips. "I forgot to remove it before this rendezvous. Speaking of which, we're getting off track."
Leaning in, they press their lips to Hero again, drinking them in as they hold each other closer. They get lost in each other's taste and swallowed sounds, until Villain's hand strays under Hero's shirt, and is met with the feeling of something bulky.
They interrupt the kiss yet again, pulling free another item.
"Is this a damn dartgun?" Villain asks, their voice genuinely colored with surprise at this point, though still a bit breathless.
Hero groans. "I'm telling you, you never know when you need one." Their heart is still thrumming like a rabbit kicking inside their chest.
"Okay genuinely, how many weapons do you have on your person." Villain finally asks.
"After removing the knife and dartgun?" They pause for a minute before finally answering. "Six... No, seven. How many do you have?" They add, brows furrowed suspiciously.
Villain lets out a small huff of a laugh. "Oh well, I have you beat. I still have nine."
"Yeah well, my second knife is probably bigger then anything you got." They say, suggestive smirk slowly forming again.
"Care to bet on it? I'll show mine if you show yours." Villain replies, already turning and tossing Hero onto the nearest surface, pouncing above them immediately.
Hero responds in kind, grabbing Villain by the collar and pulling them on top. "Okay, but you're going to be really surprised when you find the flail."
-Being a hero at such an early age wasn't easy. You fought bad guys at night and still had to take the algebra test in school the next morning.
-Despite the difficulties, you always did your best and were a succesful, beloved hero.
-However, someone's obsession was far greater than your skills.
-Genesis had been your arch-nemesis ever since you took on the role of a hero. Ever since the fateful encounter with you, he gained a second goal: not just taking over the world, but revealing your identity as well.
-One day, luck wasn't on your side and your confidence turned against you.
-He discovered video footage of you taking your mask off and showing your face. With all the connections Genesis had, it was no problem figuring out everything about you.
-The one big thing that shoked him was your age. Finding out that his greatest enemy was just a highschooler left him devastated.
-"You don't understand it, you moron!", he gripped one of his henchmen by the collar. "This proves everything I've been saying about society! This city is a rotten place...authorities are too busy stuffing their pockets with the bribes I give them, meanwhile children get sacrificed to supposedly defend the rest of the citizens"
-This discovery left the villain torn between emotions. On one hand, he pitied you. You were only a kid, trying to do the good thing and risking your life doing so. The system has failed you.
-On the other hand, you had been a thorn in his side for ages. You have foiled each and every plan of his, further driving him mad and fueling his hatred for anyone standing in his way. He couldn't let you get away with this without consequences.
-The villain's revenge required careful planning and wouldn't be an issue now that he knew so mich about you.
______________
-You lived in a small apartment on the outskirts of the city together with your mother.
-She raised you by herself and worked as a nurse, often being away from home for nearly the entire day. It was practical for keeping your heroic identity a secret from her, but it was sad to see her so exhausted.
-So you were genuinely happy when she told you she met someone. The nice gentleman she spoke about at the dinner table was a patient at the hospital, who somehow managed to end up there nearly every week, always with some strange injury.
-It didn't seem too strange to you at that time. With so many criminals terrorizing the city daily, it wasn't unusual for civilians to get caught up in a fight and suffer injuries.
-You weren't sure if you would be able to keep the promise to your mother and show up to the dinner at home, to which she invited her new friend. Genesis was likely to attack very soon and you would have to stop him just like any time.
-But to your great surprise, it was radiosilence. There were no murder robots, no bank heists, not even a robbery in some alley. The city was...strangely quiet. You were able to stay for dinner and properly meet this new guy, "Konrad".
-Konrad turned out to be great. He was polite and charismatic, always knowing exactly what to say and what would interest you. He made your mom laugh and acted like a true gentleman. But he never excluded you or made you seem like you were just an obsticle on his way to win her heart.
-He engaged in conversation with you, listening intently and asking many questions about your life. And he seemed to magically guess what you were into and how your life was, as if he had met you before.
-The relationship between Konrad and your mother developped quickly. He was staying over more frequently, carving out a spot for himself within your small family.
-He defended you when the school complained about your absences, helped you with projects you barely had the time to finish and never asked where you were going so suddenly, late at night. He'd always just give you this strange knowing look and greet you with a homecooked meal when you returned back in the morning, tending the smaller wounds.
-You were starting to truly trust him, seeing him as part of the family. One time you vented to him about being tired, always stressed about the state of the crime-ridden city and having no time to have a normal life.
-He'd hug you and tell you that everything was alright and would surely get better soon. That evening you spent at his side, watching a movie together.
-You would notice a strange scar on his arm, one that reminded you of your arch-nemesis, who you haven't seen in a while now...
-Konrad would laugh it off, saying something like: "A feral little cat scratched me after I've crossed his territory. Now hush, you'll miss the best part of the movie, kiddo."
-After that, all of the usual criminals you fought, slowly started to dissappear from the radar...
____________
-Life sure was taking a strange turn. You barely wore your hero costume nowadays, all the criminals somehow vanishing in mysterious ways.
-And you seemed to have less and less time to investigate this mystery. Your mother and Konrad were both pushing you to go out more, be social and enjoy the regular teenage life.
-Konrad was the more pushy one, who encouraged your mother to also work less and focus more on you. You would've never let some stranger dictate your life like that, but he had already managed to assert himself in the role of your step father.
-He managed to gain your trust and made you like him, to the point where you really couldn't dissagree with the claim that he was like a father figure to you.
-And the engagement ring you were now helping him shop for, only sealed that fate.
-The man was looking for the perfect ring for the proposal to your mother, not batting an eye at the prices, despite always claiming to work some unknown job, that paid "enough to pay the rent", when a robbery occured at the jewelry store.
-It was the first time in a month that you were witnessing a crime and the sudden danger made you act on pure instinct. Once the robbers fled, you are up on your feet, ripping yourself away from Konrad's hold, making excuses as to why you have to leave.
-You return home late that day, quietly dragging your feet up the stairs with the expectations to first get scolded by your worried mother and then get a milder scolding by Konrad, followed with a delicious meal he cooked.
-To your surprise, the lights are out in your home and it's empty. Nobody responds when you call and nobody sees the hero costume peeking out from your bag.
-You are ready to call it a day and collapse in your bed, when you freeze upon seeing a figure on your window sill.
-Genesis sits on it, calmly observing the lights of the city and the distant traffic, before turning to you.
-"Ahh, there you are, kiddo...I was getting worried, wondering when you'd come home...It's not nice to run off from your parents, hero."
-You are about to ask him what the hell he was talking about, when the mask slips off his face, revealing a familiar face.
- Genesis (or Konrad??) smirks in delight at the sight of the pure shock on your face. "Aren't you happy to see your dad?"
-You immediately spring into action, but he's faster and actually prepared for your escape attempt. You are instantly trapped with his newest invention, limbs bound and mouth shut so no one would hear a cry for help.
-"Oh no, no, no...You've already slipped away from me once today and I simply won't allow myself to let you leave me again."
-He sits down before you, mockingly pinching your cheek. "You stupid, adorable child. Your poor mother was conveniently called from work and had to leave for an emergency. But imagine if she stayed. What was I supposed to tell her? How could I make her worry, saying her child ran away after we witnessed a robbery? Don't you have a heart?"
-You certainly had no brains. First you become a suicidal hero, then act so recklessly with your identity, allowing a criminal mastermind to find out about it. And now you spent almost a year around said villain, trusting him like no one else while he took control of your life.
-Someone as irresponsible couldn't survive on their own in this cruel world. You needed guidance from an expert, that would never leave you out of his sight.
-"Too bad you won't be awake to hear about the surprise us adults have been keeping a secret. Your mother sounded so excited at the idea of living in a big house, far away from the city, in some remote location. After she says yes to my proposal, she'll say yes to moving as well, no hesitation. Don't you wanna live with Papa, my little hero?"
-"As much as I've genuinely grown fond of your mother over the time of my mission, I am still shook by how clueless someone could be and how easy to influence. She will not save you from the evil step father. Why would she believe you? The troubled teenager that fails school, has no friends and runs away from home, returning hours later, covered in bruises? No. She's going to believe the love of her life, the only one that makes her feel like a human being after years of loneliness. And that man already fed her ideas about how her troublemaker needs guidance and authority and a father's love."
-No amount of struggling helps you escape the needle of a syringe that injects you with a drug. Nothing helps you when he tucks you into bed and kisses you on the forehead.
-"Shh...don't worry, kiddo. I forgive you for destroying everything that was dear to me. My revenge on you will be the kindest gesture you'll receive, I promise. I will put my fight for world domination on pause, for now. Because thanks to you, the only dear thing left in my life is you."
-"I'm promising you, not as Genesis but as Konrad, that I'll kill the hero in you, to save the child. My child."
ao3 is not changing anything by the way! some people just want them to change for some reason. my guess is that these people just don't understand how the site works and refuse to actually learn how it works, so they blame the site because it's easier for them that way.
I think it would be funny to write a murder mystery where not only did every single character involved have an obvious motive to kill this mf, they were actually all attempting to murder him first, but the murder attempts all cancelled each other out all except for one. Two people tried to poison him but the poisons just happen to work as antidotes for each other, and instead of killing him only gave him the shits, and due to having the shits he couldn't go hunting that day like he had planned, foiling the plans of the one who had conditioned his favourite hunting horse to panic and bolt at the cue of a whistle, and the other murder attempt of tampering with his gun so that it would have exploded his whole face off.
The whole mystery isn't about who could have done it or how, but who was the one who got lucky and actually succeeded.

villain who doesn't kill the hero but instead keeps them safe and treats them well and forces them to watch as they slaughter everyone the hero loved and commit atrocities until the hero is begging the villain to kill them but they don't, they just keep the hero wrapped up and safe forever
