1. fuyumi used to be rumi's tutor in school. rumi is older, but fuyumi was probably way smarter than she was. instead of rumis parents hiring her or whatever, fuyumi offered when she realized just how badly rumi was struggling.

2. fuyumi never invited rumi to the todoroki house, she always wanted to go to rumis. while it was never explicitly stated, rumi just gets bad vibes, like something is off. regardless, she always invited fuyumi to her home for a sleepover to try and ease any issues she may have if she wanted to

3. after rumi gets her prosthetics, she tries to keep in contact with fuyumi more. after seeing how badly fuyumi frets over her, she realized she doesn't wanna die like that
