... messenger of Zefs, ruler of mortals.
Oh joyful, wily one, guide, slayer of Árgos.
... with the winged sandals, friend of mankind, divine revealer of the language of mortals.

by the time this pandemic ends I’ll have to be slowly rehabilitated back into society like a raccoon or I’ll get scared and start biting
leave the forest and walk up the spiralling steps to the train waiting to take you home.

I’m seeing a lot of posts about how it’s okay if all you did this year was survived, and I just want to say that
It’s okay if all you did in 2019 was survive. It’s okay if all you did in 2018 was survive. It’s okay if all you do in 2021 is survive.
If you’ve been struggling for years, if you would still be struggling if there was no pandemic, and you’re seeing all the people who would have shamed you for your dysfunction in the past making posts about how hard things are because this is the first time they’ve experienced depression or executive dysfunction, making posts absolving each other of struggling or being dysfunctional this year...
I see you.
I see you and I want you to know you are good and you are valuable this year and every year.
And also, when I say it’s okay if all you did was survive, what I mean is: You are good and valuable if you all you did was survive. But it’s not okay that you’ve had to struggle so much. It’s not okay that you haven’t gotten the support you need. You deserve better. When the pandemic ends and the people posting now recover and you’re still struggling, you will still deserve better, and you will still be good and valuable.
