Hello, I remembered this account existed because I have a username related to Hotch on a different website. I was asked “who is Hotch?” which is really funny to me. I’m so far removed from my Criminal Minds addiction I kind of forgot what it was like watching it for the first time. Or just thinking about it. The reboot is being filmed now and it also brought a lot back. I want to let you all know that I am well. I started this account as a kid a few years ago and it’s crazy that it even got a following. I remember bragging about my 100 followers when I first hit it. Things in the criminal minds community have changed so much. Some of my favorite Hotch editors deleted their videos of him and unsurprisingly also rebranded— hell even on my alternate social media I rebranded. It’s wild to think how submerged into this show I was retrospect. I’d like to thank Criminal Minds for something though. When I was struggling and at my worst, dealing with an entire crisis, this show saved me. It was the first step in getting out of a ditch I put myself in and I’m forever in its debt. And this show also instilled my love of forensic psychology, something I intend to pursue as a career. This show defined my younger years and who I am as a person, and this community was my first step to not being so alone online. This post is not a final post or a goodbye, this is my expression of gratitude for the show and it’s community, and my pride in how far I’ve come. This is not a goodbye, it’s a hello. Hello again.
