so i know ive already spoken at length about the symbolism and visual story telling choice to have kingdon ambulance bay conversations slowly get further from the ED as their conversations stray farther from work, but i wanted to point out something else because im insane.
not only do they just occur further away, but each time they speak in the ambulance bay, frank intentionally seeks her out, and each time he is willing to travel a further distance and cause more disruption to his daily routine for her.
now everything is a kingdon cathedral if you’re insane, but is this not progressive storytelling letting us know visually that as he continues to get to know her, he is becoming more and more willing to go out of his way for her and do things that don’t make sense for him to be doing unless his intention is to center her in his life?
just a thought because i’ll never get over it and whatever ambulance bay scene we get in season four is probably going to kill me lol

i’m just thinking about langdon’s opening line to mel when he saw her like “crazy how muggy it still is out here” and asking where robby is yeah like okay nice conversation starter man stop stalling we all know what ur here for.. then he went straight to work started asking her a billion questions — are you done with your charts? why are you still here? you’re going to watch the fireworks? how was your day? #yeah see u not fooling anybody future divorced white boy
taylor saying mel’s go to pick up line would just be “do you wanna hang out more,” cut to mel excitedly asking langdon if he’d teach her that reduction technique,, which could mean nothing
they’re so good at having eyes
i had a terrible sleep last night so i'm gonna be bitchy and say my hottest pitt take ever which is that mel saying "i see hair" during the season 1 birth did not feel weird to me at all and everyone not assuming the baby is what she was talking about are the real weirdos #mytruth
LET THE RECORD SHOW THAT DONNIE JUMPED AT THE CHANCE TO GO HOME TO HIS WIFE AND BABY AND FRANK HAS NOT EVEN CALLED ABBY ONCE AND IS DILLY DALLYING JUMPING ON TO CASES STILL!!!
YOU KNOW WHAT’S *SO* OVER BESIDES DR. LANGDON’S SHIFT?! HIS MARRIAGE!!!
Hey, hell of a save your boy made. On-the-fly reduction of a uni-facet cervical dislocation – that's some cowboy shit.
autistic people can struggle to express empathy. we often share our own experiences in attempt to show that we understand how the other person feels, but this can sometimes be interpreted as making everything about ourselves. mel is an incredibly empathetic person, but she has a hard time expressing this at times. she’s also been told not to make things about herself. but she sees langdon struggling and chooses to open up about the deposition. and he allows her to do it. he isn’t perturbed and he doesn’t interrupt (a low bar, i know, but since every other person cuts her off, it’s an intentional writing choice nonetheless). in giving mel the space to empathise in the way she knows how, she finally, finally, feels comfortable talking about the deposition and how it affected her. and by allowing her to be there for him, he is also there for her.
