What's a unit ace?

Unit in this instance means more or less the same thing as non-SAM, but doesn’t have the same issues non-SAM does.

Basically it means that the word “asexual” encompasses their whole identity, and they don’t identify with a separate romantic orientation, or at least not strongly. I’ve adapted it from unit aro because I don’t want to use non-SAM.
