Just rewatched “Riding the Lightning” (Season 1, Epsidoe 14) for probably the tenth time. And it remains one of the most phenomenal episodes of all time. Brings me to tears everytime I watch it.

update: i was right

Remember that time in SVU when the psycho jersey cop lady started accusing olivia of sleeping with her possibly rapist half brother whom said psycho cop was actually framing for said rape because she thought said half brother had assaulted her sister when in reality it was actually the father and then psycho cop went to go kill the brother but then he ended up shooting her and holding her hostage.
wild.
I’ve never once connected Emily’s speech to Hotch about hating politics to the fact her entire involvement with Doyle was solely political, holy shit.
and like the “tears families apart” line might actually apply MORE to Doyle and Declan than to her and her parents as while her and her mother aren’t seemingly close, the show never indicates that her father left / parents were divorced (when Hotch acts about her parents in her first scene, she says “they’re” great which I think she maybe wouldn’t say if her parents weren’t together etc) so not necessarily “torn” apart, just not close

the only version of jemily i can see is unrequited jemily.
the pain of emily longing to be with jj whilst she’s oblivious to it and with will instead. emily just looking at jj and taking in her beauty whenever jj’s not aware, understanding that jj will never look at her the way emily looks at her. emily wanting them to be more than friends but knowing that it’s all they’ll ever be.
i don’t think jj was ever in love with emily, but i think emily will always have a place in her heart dedicated to jj.
There's no way that Emily Prentiss doesn't get side-tracked in regular conversation and remember that she's literally an ex-spy who spent years in bed with a serial killer to get information. Now spending her coffee breaks listening to Reid talk about his special interests, listening to Garcia/JJ's relationship drama, having Morgan shake snacks in her face like an annoying child "Emily do you want one? Come on you know you want one. just take one. Emily. EEMMIILLY". Getting kicks out of stealing Hotch's pen because he knows it's her but he can't find them to prove it and genuinely enjoying a hard days end with a drink with him and Dave.
I would pay good money for a criminal minds episode where there’s been a murder in one of those huge SEC sorority houses (mansions) and the BAU knows the unsub has to be one of the girls living in it and they have to interrogate them all and get alibis and rule some out and then like polygraph them and see how fast they turn on each other and the whole episode is like a bottle episode inside the giant house
emily prentiss did not go to Yale, learn seven languages, join an undercover task force specializing in terrorism, become unit chief of the behavioral analysis unit, and get offered the director of the fbi job for people to write her off as not intelligent. queen isn't dumb.
Everyone always says Elle or Spencer or Hotch would make amazing unsubs, but do you know who I think would be the perfect Unsub?
Emily. This woman can blend in anywhere, has multiple passports, contacts everywhere, can speak multiple languages, and is literally killer with a gun.
Emily would destroy the BAU if she snapped.
out of all wlw ships in criminal minds they always made the most sense to me and are criminally underrated
cursed thought: good 4 u by olivia rodrigo but it’s doyle singing about emily .
why are crime shows so into the arms dealer undercover thing? Criminal Minds, NCIS, Missing... not complaining I just want to know why?
heyo update if anyone is still wondering about Past, Present, What if?
The last installment was supposed to come out weeks ago but funny thing happened - I got injured and unfortunately got a concussion so I’ve been unable to write. It’s actually infuriating because it’s so close to being done and I could probably tough it out and finish it up now, but it wouldn’t be the best it could be and for you all who have stuck with it until this last installment, I really want to deliver the ending it deserves.
Again, so sorry about the major delay but please keep an eye out for the final installment :)
thinking about s7 emily screaming good 4 you by olivia rodrigo about hotch/hotch+beth......
hey do me a favor and reblog this if you’re still in the criminal minds fandom. i want to see how many are still here in 2020. so far it seems like a good amount but i’m curious
