I had a great stream with @uravity64 last night! We both want to be consistent and regular streamers and are currently working our way towards becoming affiliates. Last night we streamed and played My Hero’s One Justice on PS4 and had a really good time. We even played against a couple viewers and that was a lot of fun too...maybe we could do it again in the future 👀
We both will be streaming sometime again today (haven’t decided on a time yet but we’re both east coast time) and we will most likely being being the MHA game again or maybe Overwatch. Jake’s Retirement
Most of you probably know that Jake is my favorite player and streamer...but if you didn’t, well then he is. Yesterday’s announcement on Twitter about his official retirement from professional Overwatch was quite a shock to me. I knew last season he didn’t get too much playtime and with the addition of so many DPS players in this offseason, I had a feeling one of them was going to leave. I knew Jake was a possibility for that but for him to fully retire from the scene and not just as a player really surprised me. I learned so much from watching his streams and the OWL matches. I even started playing and picked up Junkrat as my main because of him.
To say I wasn’t upset would be a lie, and I was mad at myself for not feeling more...if that makes sense. I didn’t cry like I thought I would but instead just felt really numb. He has been my favorite player for the last two years and when I got to meet him and take a photo with him in Dallas, it was literally one of the best days of my life. I plan on attending the home games in Houston next year and to know he won’t be there is a truly heartbreaking thing to have to accept.
Even with all my sadness, I am happy he is doing this for himself and will do whatever he decides will make him happy. I will continue to support him in his stream and whatever he does next. He’s given so much to me personally as far as my motivation and inspiration as a player and teammate go...I just wish him the best and I am very proud of everything he has accomplished in his professional Overwatch career.
I’ve got a lot going on in my mind about some news from yesterday. I’ll make a post in a bit.

In the past, there was an event game called “girl power : no boys allowed” in the overwatch. Only female characters were able to choose. Blizzard Korea has translated this <no boys allowed> into <미안해요, 오빠들> This means “I’m sorry for “oppa””. Many female gamers in Korea have criticized this, but Blizzard Korea has not changed this. I am still angry and unforgettable.

The dictionary meaning of the word “오빠” is the word used by a woman to refer to her older brother. However, it is not only used between family members, but is also a common designation that is frequently used between men and women younger than them, for instance, between friends, and lovers.
Korean men like to be called “오빠”,very much. It’s a bit obsessive. They really really like that word. because it reminds him of his patriarchal power. And he expects every woman to be obedient like his younger sister. Sometimes, in a relationship where there is a difference in power, it is often the case that a person is called “call me 오빠”. It is one of the unpleasant flirting that many Korean women experience.
Did you understand why we were criticized for translating “I am sorry for 오빠들(plural of “오빠”)” ?
and It is not something that women should be sorry about men. thing that women are gathered together. except for men.
Three weeks without Overwatch League means I will be taking a little break too. I’m going to a convention in a couple weeks so I won’t be as active then either. I’ll be hanging around and liking posts though :)
