Hi everyone

I hate doing this, but I am in a very tight spot.

Back in April, I was hospitalized for 3 days. It was quite serious, but I’m doing better now. I’m on medication and am down to checkups every six months now.

The problem is that I’m disabled, unemployed, uninsured, and unable to pay my medical bills. I tried working things out with the hospital, what I owed got reduced significantly, but they ended up sending my bill to collections.

I’ve tried talking to them, but as you can imagine, debt collectors are not helpful in any way. I owe just under $1,400, so even with a payment plan, I’ll have this debt for at least 5 years (so until I’m 35).

I’m posting my Venmo here, very humbly asking for any help from anyone. I know this isn’t a huge amount of money, but my family is really struggling (the pandemic especially has not been kind), so literally any amount of help will be appreciated more than you can imagine. Also, even “just” sharing this means so much 💖

i think stranger in the alps is like taking a walk after a reallly emotionally taxing therapy session that focused on your childhood and punisher is like when a well-meaning friend makes a joke about one of your bad qualities/coping mechanisms but it hits a little too close to home and you think about it for a week straight
