This is a blog for Harry Potter confessions (rants & vents). That includes all the different eras (i.e., the Marauders Era, Riddle’s Era, the Golden Trio Era, the Next Generation Era, etc.). It doesn’t matter if it’s canon, fanon, unpopular, and/or controversial; just get it off your chest and send that ask.

Seeing fans compare the Blacks to the Targaryens, seriously mind you, is so stupid and embarrassing. They see incest and insist they're exactly the same thing, but they couldn't be more wrong because even this "similarity" isn't all that similar because the Blacks only ever really married cousins, and their incest wasn't that extreme or bad. Another thing is that the Targaryens were actual royalty in their universe, the Blacks were not. They were nothing but a bunch of wannabes, who saw themselves as royalty and above the rest, but they weren't.

honestly enough people don't talk about harry and Hermione's friendship. i dont understand them as a ship(to clarify i believe in ship and let ship so Harmione shippers carry on) but I don't agree with the fact that they can't be friends without ron. Harry shares so many of his firsts with Hermione. Hermione gives him his first hug (not counting marauders+lily when he was a baby cuz he doesn't remember those lmao). she's arguably one of the first people he becomes comfortable touching and being touched by. girl kissed him on the cheek and my boy just remained unbothered. definitely comfortable enough with each other to even those extents. she is also the first person he actually ever cries in front of. checks the emotional box too. personally i headcanon harry as adhd and Hermione as autistic so ofc they make a great pair I don't see why people think they are not. i would love to have a friendship like harry and hermione in real life and I will always defend these kids <3

and idk if this is the appropriate place to ask, but does anyone know any good blogs that post metas about their friendship?(no romantic shipping please) there's literally nothing on them damn which is why I came to write this.

One thing I hate about this “progressive” fandom is that people say or claim things without understanding what it is they’re actually saying or claiming.

The fans will claim that the Death Eaters are Nazis, yet will actively enjoy and defend said characters. And note that liking or enjoying the Death Eaters isn’t the issue, they're fake, do what you will with that, but liking and defending them while you're claiming them as nazis (something very real and harmful) is so tone deaf and ignorant. If you're going to compare an actual historically terrible thing to a make believe one, or say that they're literally each other, then don't idealize or defend them? Nazism and nazi's were and are very much real things, real ideologies, and real hate, that killed millions of real living people. By stating that Death Eaters are Nazis (equating them to each other completely), and then brushing that aside to simp on said "nazi" characters, you're basically saying "screw you" to those who were and are affected by all that because you find the characters of that association to be hot and sad boys who had no choice and are just following a big bad mans orders. Like, it’s genuinely such a massive slap to the face.

!!If you’re going to like the Death Eaters, then don’t state that they are nazis, you’re diminishing what that term actually means, what it stands for, and are treating it lightly, like some fun little joke. Please, and thank you!!

I don't hate Wolfstar itself, I think they kinda make sense. What I hate is the fans who think that they're canon and force everyone to believe so. And what do you take Lupin's wife and his son for? As in, Harry Potter's Godson?

I loathe headcanons that stray too far from canon, but sometimes I like to imagine Voldemort and Bellatrix living in the modern internet era. How powerful he'd be after obliterating this pathetic fandom that only knows how to devalue him and shove even more pathetic, vile characters in place of the only woman he truly felt affection for.

Bellatrix, meanwhile, would make it her mission to personally torture every single one dragging them by force to let the Dark Lord make the final call.

Voldemort pisses me off so much. He was always making the dumbest fucking choices, had me groaning and sighing every time he did anything because it always led to him failing and getting beat (by children nonetheless). Had he simply moved Lily aside instead of killing her, he would’ve been able to kill Harry and been good. What a pathetic loser.

I hate (overly) short Harry, but especially when it's an au where he doesn't live with the Dursleys and isn't even starved. and It's mainly because they typically make him extremely short like 5'0-5'3 and I don't understand that at all. What is he that short for?? like make him at least 5'5-5'7 please 😭

Have you even read the books? She casually deflected a spell from his Elder Wand. I won't say she'd defeat him, but she would definitely be able to hold her own against him. God, people underestimate Bellatrix's power so much and it makes no sense at all because she has more feats than just about anyone else.

Yes, I have read the books, in fact, and her simply deflecting a spell doesn't suddenly make her on par with Dumbledore (but if that's all it takes to make people equals with each other than I guess Molly is on par with Bellatrix too). And if you actually read the books, then you would know that in that same chapter she easily gets overpowered by Dumbledore and gets pinned under a statue with no way out while he's also protecting Harry and going against Voldemort. Now, Bellatrix is a very talented, powerful witch, and she's one of the best duelists (and Death Eaters), there's no denying that, but she is in no way going toe-to-toe with Dumbledore or able to hold her own against him. The problem isn't her power being underestimated, it's you overestimating it. She's good, but not that (Dumbledore-level) good. Let's keep it real, people.

This is literally the only place I see any mentions of hate between tomarrymort and bellamort shippers. Yes, this confessions blog. Honestly, as a tomarrymort shipper I have no idea of any drama happening otherwise. Where do you see it? Is it happening on TikTok? I don't even have it installed. So funny of some anons to assume that those who like Voldemort are from that app like it's the first thing that comes to their mind, as if they are using it too much themselves...

I know for a fact that a bulk of tomarrymort shippers have been in this fandom for more than a decade, before any social media was anywhere as it is today. Suggesting to us to grow up... Child, you are not as mature as you think you are, if hating on a ship or a fictional character is something you waste your breath on. And even worse, spilling hate on actual real people who are just enjoying whatever sings to their soul.

Ship and let ship, it's not that hard. Contribute to your side of the fandom, write your own fanfics that show how amazing Bellatrix is. Enjoy your own shipping bubble, and you'd be happier for it.

As much as I love Emma Watson, I always prefer book Hermione more. Shows us that beauty privilege is not everything. She can be smart, fierce, successful and still find the man who loves her for who she is. And the times when she feels insecure? We all could been through that, and honestly she's the one who motivates me that we don't need to be dropbdead gorgeous, we just need to be ourselves.

Emma Watson is not "drop dead gorgeous" lmao. She's just a thin white woman with straight hair but average features and no lips. Millions of British girls look like her. She was physically the perfect Hermione except her hair and makeup because she was so average like book Hermione. HP fans should stop glazing her. Only HP fans think she's beautiful because they grew up with her and got attached to her but that doesn't mean she's actually beautiful. She's average as fuck.

Not even close, the delusion is real (sound like those delulu harry stans that over exaggerate his power and think he could take on just about anyone). She's nothing but a little girl to him. He could flick her away with a simple hand movement. Only one that could go "toe-to-toe" with Dumbledore is Voldemort, and even he couldn't really even do it.
