Welcome to HR Confess/Imagine

This is an old school style confession and imagine combo blog. Send in confessions you have about the show or books, or imagines about the characters and we'll edit them onto images and post them for you anonymously, 2012 tumblr style!

This is a fun, tongue-in-cheek blog! We accept serious and silly submissions, including sexual submissions. We do not accept and will not publish bigoted submissions or harassment of any kind. We also won’t be posting anything about fandom drama— we’re trying to keep this blog wank/discourse free. If you think we have erred in publishing something, please DM us privately-- we all have blind spots! Hopefully this is as fun for you as it is for us and brings back some old fandom joy!

Confession 19: I’m not even kidding (minor spoiler), Ilya Rozanov and David Hollander got me back in my puzzle phase with their cute little antics smfh lol

Confession 18: i confess that episode 3 was my favorite on first watch-through. i know, i know, i'm just telling how i felt it. i do think shane and ilya are more compelling and their arc has better rewatch value, but the skip storyline moved me more.

Confession 17: i saw the confession about HR making someone reason they weren't asexual... for me HR made me realize i'm more asexual than i thought!!! i was talking to a (bisexual) friend and they were so shocked when i told them i didn't really get anything from the sex scenes in the show 😭😭

Confession 16: i think the music in the show ranges from mid to bad. yes that includes my moon my man, mangetout, and moonlight sonata. i still listen to the soundtrack more than any other music tho #mytorture #unwanted earworms

also im high at midnight

i sleep at 9 usually and i never dod rugs im just delirious for no reason so i say im high i lied when i say im high

Imagine: you’re sunbathing in your bikini watching the connor pull invasives from your backyard. he walks over to you, dirty and covered in sweat and says “hey Y/N I finished pulling the japanese knotwood and covered the area with a tarp to increase the removal effectiveness to 50-70% for this season and the next. the ecosystem and I appreciate you doing your part to help manage invasive species.” he looks down at you in your bikini and grins. “as a thank you, I’d love to mulch your flowerbed, on the house.” ;)

God I know this is not the point of this post but unfortunately this is one of my Special Interests™ and this is not how removing plants especially Japanese Knotweed works. If you’re removing an invasive species, especially one as aggressive as Japanese Knotweed, unless you’re pulling up the ENTIRE plant, and I mean every single bit of every single root, it’s not going away. Putting a tarp over it isn’t going to do shit. If you removed it properly then it won’t grow back because there’s nothing there, so there’s no use for a tarp, and if there is something there then a tarp is not going to stop Japanese Knotweed.

Hi, I agree that removal and environmental manipulation (putting a tarp over it) isn't the most effective method of control for Japanese Knotweed-- that would be cut stump with herbicide application. I didn't chose the methods I did for no reason though-- cut stump removal is expensive and time consuming, and most people aren't able to do it themselves or hire someone to do it for them. Additionally, I'm assuming more people on here are renters than homeowners, and would have to get permission from their landlords to do something so extreme. As per the University of Wisconsin-Extension Team Horticulture, removal is <50% effective, but environmental manipulation can be up to 50-70% effective at slowing the spread of knotweed, even if it can't eliminate it. This is why I had Connor remove the knotweed first, then cover the affected area in a tarp. I think this is definitely better than not doing anything at all, so if even just one person sees this silly little imagine and remembers later, hey I might not be able to get rid of all the knotweed in my yard, but I can at least help stop it from spreading, I consider that a win.

Confession 14: heated rivalry eps 1 and 2 truly confirmed to me that i am a boob guy. their asses are obviously phenomenal but their tits were all i could think about for weeks!
