IMPORTANT NOTICE - INACTIVATION AND MOVE
(is inactivation even a word?)
hsandother is going to be inactive from here on out. In a few minutes, I’m going to create an entirely new account to house @blindcat97 , which will be my new blog. If you want to avoid it for a little while, that might be wise. I’m going to be absolutely flooding it with older posts that I want to maintain.
However, hsandother isn’t going to disappear, so you can keep your previous bookmarks. I’m not even going to change the URL. Essentially, this is going to function as an archive of the last 5 years I’ve been lurking here.
Why am I changing it? One big reason is that I want to be using an actual primary blog (hsandother is actually a sideblog), and I want to use my regular blindcat97 username. The second reason is that I’m going to be changing up the content a little.
Basically, my original goal with hsandother (at least, as of 3 years ago) was all generic funny stuff. Only reblogs, never anything official or political (even important news), absolutely nothing but happy stuff. While I still plan to avoid all but the most significant of news posts, and generally try to keep an upbeat blog where you can browse without upsetting stuff, I don’t want this impersonal, reblogs-only attitude. I’m a person, with thoughts and jokes and shitposts that I want to share! So I’m going to do that, and I’m using this new blog to kickstart the change.
Asks and messages sent to this blog will still be seen and answered, but if you want to keep following me, head over to blindcat97.tumblr.com and ignore the mess while I reblog old stuff en masse, and remake my theme.
it has come to my attention that i can’t make this blog my primary, no matter what. not 100% sure what i want to do about that.

I just realized that Han never knew that Luke got his hand chopped off while he was in carbonite and I don’t know which path I want to follow with this information:
1. Han seeing Luke’s injured hand after the sail barge battle and thinking that Luke has been a robot the whole time
2. Luke shaking his hand with a super-firm grip and Han just thinking “Wow this kid has gotten…absurdly strong.”
3. Luke just pulls off his hand one day and throws it at Han.
4. Luke picks up a spacechicken carcass and crushes it with his bare hand and Han is intimidated
5. Han says “It’s good to see you’re all right” and then Luke says “well, actually…” and pulls off his hand and Han falls over the back of his chair
6. Han says “It’s good to see you’re all right” and everyone gasps and Leia says “Too soon!” and Han is confused and they all just rag on him
7. Han needs a battery and Luke just opens up his hand and pulls out a battery and gives it to him and Han just stares
8. Luke reappears after a mission with all the synthflesh off and Han says “I thought it was easy but you LOST YOUR HAND?” and Luke just says “Oh, no, I lost this before Endor” and Han is hurt and betrayed.
9. Luke keeps making hand puns and limb puns and raising his right hand to high-five Han and Han just never gets it
10. Luke excitedly tells Han as they’re waiting to be taken to the Sarlacc because it’s been a whole year that he’s wanted to tell the guy.

when i was a kid one of my best friends was a year older than me so i deferred to him as the expert on everything in the whole world, and once when i was 9 and he was 10 my curiosity got the best of me and i asked him what the f word was (i knew how to use google but i think i was afraid my parents would see?) and he got really quiet and serious and leaned down and whispered, “find” (pronounced rhyming with “pinned”). i did not find out that this was not the actual f word until a year later, when i was google image searching kittens for warrior cats roleplaying purposes and i came upon a pic with the caption “look at this fucking kitten”
btw i asked him about it years later and he was like “oh yeah, i knew the word was fuck, i just didn’t want to be the one to corrupt you so i made one up on the spot”

So my boss once robbed a museum to prove a point and honestly, I think she is my new role model.

Many years ago, my boss was working at this museum and they had these original Churchill documents on display. These documents are worth millions of dollars… The only thing separating the public from these documents was a sheet of glass secured with 4 philips head screws. Seriously. No security guards in the room, no cameras, just an easily removable piece of glass.
My boss pointed out the security concern, but she wasn’t taken seriously, so she took matters into her own hands.
She bought a ticket and pretended to be a guest. She entered through the main entrance with a huge drill clearly visible on her belt, went straight to the documents and opened the case with the drill. (While wearing gloves,) she removed the documents, put them in a folder, reattached the glass, and walked out the main exit. Literally no one even questioned her.
She immediately went around to the back of the museum, entered using the staff entrance and went straight to her boss’s office. She dropped the folder on his desk and said “I just stole these in 15 minutes“
Once he was done being mad at her, he listened and the museum increased security.
