Even if you stop now, the damage has been done.” Casting a tight-lined lip of empathy, Yael was suddenly quite curious to the game plaguing Goldi, their face changing into piqued curiosity before a hushed voice pressed on, “is it one of those Royalty Forbidden Romance games? The “I married to preserve my family’s social class and my wife is secretly poor and we’re not actually in love but our parents forced us to do this shit, but now the housekeeper is pregnant and I don’t know how to explain why the baby looks so much like me” kind? Because I said that too but what’s the point in even playing without those damn diamonds? I spent so much on Elizabethan collars one Summer... the theatre kids were doing some Shakespearian sonnet showcase one night and all had on those collars and I had to go cold turkey after I tried to click a grade nine.

Yael: i don't either. my parents are pretty big into crime dramas and all, but the first episode of law and order i ever attempted started with an illicit banana at the crime scene and ended in me having a potassium deficiency for a year, so i'm useless here, sorry.

“for science,” they answered simply, and it was true for the most part. enough hours of science went into the creation and maintenance of the app in question, computer or otherwise. color theory was... sort of along the same vein, and yael wasn’t all that worried that miles would try to debate the semantics. miles’ smirk was shared, yael unable not to find the situation pretty amusing now that they knew miles wasn’t still guarded over the safety of his pants, eyes watching the app finally load fully before raising it to focus over one shin. “evil depends on who you ask, really, but my intentions are pretty solid.” holding the reader steady, they waited for the tone to sound before letting out a small, unintelligible chirp of accomplishment before promptly saving the hex code. “exactly,” they noted, a haughty delayed brought on by such strong focus, “red is so high school,” they laughed quietly, knowing that at least on their end, it was fully at their expense. “the un-outed will be very grateful for your contribution, yes.”
