God not me fully just realising the EXTENT to which we disregard women in media in terms of using the right WORDS but when it comes to male pronouns and issues the word āmenā is just fine.
When we see articles talking about menstruating, child birth, etc anything to do with our reproductive organs itās always suddenly āPEOPLE with wombsā or āPEOPLE who menstruateā
Thought when it comes to menās reproductive organs in media itās always āmenās sperm countā āmenās ability to contract prostate cancerā
If weāre trying to be so gender inclusive and āwokeā why TF is it only women who are bearing the brunt of erasure??? Where is that same energy for men??? Iām not gonna sit here and listen to the argument of āTHATS NOT TRUEā because YES. IT. IS.
Woman are no longer allowed to stake claim on our own bodies and our own experiences, men CONTINUE to erase what separates us from them in order to control what woman can and canāt do as if we donāt already suffer from being unautonimous.
