i think one of the first instances of dirk inspiring selflessness and bravery in todd (if not the first, i’m kind of forgetting the order of things rn) is when the rowdy three are about to wreck todd’s apartment. todd could have thrown dirk out. like, he was trying to, but in the moment that martin smashes the light dirk is distracted and vulnerable. todd could have kicked him into the hallway. but he didn’t. he pulled dirk into his apartment because his instinct, time and again, is to protect

one of the things i love about the idea of canon brotzly is that amanda would technically be dirk’s boyfriend’s sister but she would 100% be protective of dirk & give the talk to todd, not the other way around. it would so be “you better not hurt him, todd” & “dirk, is my brother treating you right?” which of course would make dirk all smiley & happy to explain just how happy he is with todd. & todd would just sit there like... wtf amanda

you guys... this is obviously a part of a scrapped project but nonetheless, just hearing sam do dirk’s voice after 2 years... it makes me so happy. and hopeful for the future, knowing they’ve done all this already to attempt to bring dirk back!
