I used to think of myself as shy and subdued. I'm socially anxious and after having some expirience with rejection feel it safer to not try and engage.

I've been going to game nights for a few months now and I found out that actually I'm easily excited and very loud. Even when I feel ashamed afterward about being overexcited and afraid of having been annoying or even unpleasant (some games are competitive and uh...) and go to the next game night with full intention to keep myself together - I can't. I talk a lot and laugh loud. I gesticulate with my arms, not hands. If given excuse I boss people around and would jump at the opportunity to do so.

So ukranians have been hitting a lot of oil refineries in Russia, which is very clever of them. A Russian court has jailed ​the owner of an LGBT nightclub and two of the club's employees in ‌what it said was the first case brought under a ban on what Moscow calls the "LGBT movement".

Russia's Supreme Court designated the "LGBT movement" as ​extremist in 2023 and those supporting it have been designated as terrorists, paving the way ​for serious criminal cases against members of the LGBT community and their advocates.

The court said the three defendants had "under the guise of running a nightclub, organised events centred on the common theme of demonstrating affiliation with people of non-traditional ⁠sexual ​orientation for an unspecific group of the venue's patrons."

Russian LGBT ​rights lawyers have said the Orenburg case will serve as a precedent for future prosecutions against LGBT people and their advocates ​and destroy "safe havens" for LGBT people in Russia.

They say that stupid walks are good for my stupid mental health. But actually when Im not occupied I start thinking a lot, and get carried away in my thoughts, and some of that shit is bad. Audiobooks dont grab my attention enough, and that whole thing does not improve my mood at all.

And thats not mentioning the schoolkids who have PE in that park sometimes, wich triggers the hell out of me, and I start boiling like a kettle, remembering how much I hated pe in school. Does not improve my mood either.

been seeing people talking about yesteryear and calling caleb a sympathetic character, as if he did not begin abusing and raping natalie as soon as he knew there was no consequence - we know he originally could not even get hard for her, yet when her reality breaks and she becomes a shell of herself, he has no problem performing. we know that he stopped even closing the door and simply allowed his children to hear their mother being raped. we know that he is a manosphere guy who fully allowed the abuse of, mainly, his female children, while allowing the male children to visit a reprieve. we know that he allowed his children to nearly die due to not being vaccinated without feeling anything.

caleb was never a sympathetic character. he is meant to represent a specific faction of patriarchy; the rich, well-to-do man with no real passion, no plan for life other than what is set out for him, owed a wife and children due to his status. no, he was not very smart, but that’s by design. he doesn’t need to be smart, whereas natalie needs to constantly prove herself as better than everyone. caleb was “born better”, into a senator’s family.

the big thing here is i think people ascribe fault to natalie for taking him further down a path of indoctrination. “he wanted to be a teacher! natalie made him feel it was too womanly to take care of his children!” with who his father is, what his life is, i severely doubt he never would have encountered the ideals he did.

i don’t think sympathy should be the first thing coming to anybody’s mind when thinking of him. he abused and allowed the abuse of his children, abused his wife in front of them, forced mary to do all the housework, and again, only allowed the boys to experience any reprieve from the life natalie created for them. he was not just a bystander, he fully cosigned the abuse and participated himself, just because he could.

The best way I can describe to an allo person how you feel about sex as a topic as a sex-repulsed or averse asexual is that it feels like a hype that never ends. As though Despicable Me came out and everyone around you was sending minion facebook memes to each other for years to come. The stores are full of minion themed products; they're in ads and your friends talk about them all the time. And deep in your heart you're like "I'm glad that they're able to enjoy something I personally don't like and am not interested in :3". You make an active choice to communicate only the former.
