Hellu! I have another old and updated face overlay to share with you. So what has changed? It has smoother textures and is also more transparent to allow for more visible wrinkles for elder sims. Tao comes in four different versions and it’s non-default. You’ll find it in skin details, face paint and tattoos. As usual, it works with all skin tones, all eyelid types and is enabled for all ages and genders. (●˙꒳˙●)

Hello, and thanks for checking out the Random Traits and Aspirations mod! This mod came to be, because I realized that over time, I’ve been creating basically the same sims over and over. They only use a handful of traits, and only end up with one of a few aspirations. This mod is an attempt to fix this problem by randomizing the traits and aspirations chosen for your sims as they age up!

How does it work?

The birthday dialog no longer appears. Instead, when sims age up from any life stage between baby and YA, a random, weighted, age-appropriate trait and aspiration will be selected for them (if applicable). This does NOT add randomization to CAS!

Weighted Selection

Traits may be “passed down” from grandparents and parents. If your sim spends a lot of time with another caretaker or friend, they may also pick up traits from that sim. The weighting for these situations is not very heavy right now - in my testing, a trait was only passed on 1 in 5 attempts.

In the future, I will be adding additional weighted considerations to trait and aspiration status! Please see the “Future Plans” section.

Current Status

This mod is currently in BETA. This means that while I’ve been testing this within my own game, and haven’t had any issues, it could benefit from further testing. I will do my best to update the mod immediately if any bugs are reported!

Beanie Collection

I was gonna release this sooner but Cats & Dogs you know? :D Anyways, here’s the beanie to end all beanies, hopefully. A ton of styles: ribbed/cable knit/some swatches from my old beanies and a bunch others. The shape of it is a lot smaller and looks cuffed rather than a flat mesh all the way through. Also keep in mind when I edited the mesh it was intended for guys/short haircuts.

Comes in 36 different swatches and found in the Brimless Hats category.

There are three versions: merged (all 36 swatches), solids (22 swatches), and assorted (14 swatches)

Patchless Jeans (and Sweater)

for toddler boys

I like this new outfit for toddlers from Cats & Dogs, but the original feels a bit too busy. I’ve removed the pawprints from the pants (front & back) and removed the dog patch as well to clean it up a bit. This is just a separate recolour, not an override of the original. It includes all of the original swatches, with one minor change to the outfit with yellow pants - I changed the shade of yellow slightly.

Please note: This does require Cats & Dogs, as the mesh is not included in the file.
