remiduval:
“My steed is going to give me the stink eye when he sees how much I’ve brought,” the witch chuckled, looking down at the abundance of items she’d purchased in the market. “It happens any time I put anything over 3 kilos on his back, aside from myself that is.”
“Do you often speak to him? Cause maybe you should ask him how he feels just to check. He might actually be okay with the weight. Maybe if you gave him an apple too?” Ramsey offered as an easy smile fell on her face.
rubypeterson:
“This one is particularly pretty.” The wildflowers were finally about to bloom, some just barely peeking from their buds. Ruby knelt down beside a patch of them along the path, not paying much mind to her dress being dirtied in the process. The blooms were a soft purple and her fingers brushed against them as her brow furrowed and they perked up just a bit more on their stems. Pleased, she smiled softly back up at her companion before straightening up and brushing her hands idly against her skirts, she was quick to take Ramsey’s arm in the bend of hers. “Wonder if the river is still frozen. Shall we go see?” @hunter-haller
There wasn’t a field or place in nature that Ramsey hadn’t found a way to lay in. She was currently staring up at the other woman as she laid back and smiled at the flowers she was referring to. She stood glancing at them before tilting her head at them to acknowledge them. “ So pretty. “ She smiled before tying up her skirts at Ruby’s suggestion. She was practically ready to run as soon as Ruby laced her arm in her own, eager to search for the river. “ Even if it is, whose to say we still cant have fun nearby?”
natalyasankara:
“Thank you.” Natalya couldn’t help but smile wider at the woman’s words, taking the sketchy from her happily. “My name is Natalya. It’s nice to meet you,” she said, holding out her hand.
“Ramsey Haller. “ She replied back as she shook the other woman’s hand. “ Sorry I might have just gotten charcoal on your hand” She replied looking down at her other hand that was still a bit of a mess
cyrus-hayes:
“I’m not a fan either. Best to steer clear of the men in white coats.” Or the poachers. It was always a possibility that anyone that he can into contact with could be a hunter. But at this point in history it was almost a fact taken for granted that his kind was extinct. Or close to it. But there was always a tiny possibility. Especially with the off kilter ones. He laughed when she listed off mundane items, “A lamp and a half empty milk carton wandering away from a house would be something to see.” The Basilisk grinned, tilting his head, “Oh, I’m sure you’re rattling around in quite a few heads.” Smelled human, felt human. So that narrowed it down a bit. “So now that we’ve officially met, Ramsey. What’s the next step?”
“And yet so many people where them. Doctors..... Scientists..... Fancy chef’s, they’re the worst ones” She chuckled. Though in a way she didn’t want to address the idea of men in whit coats. She had bad experiences with them and they never actually wanted to help her in her opinion. She was still coming to terms with the fact something might actually be wrong. “ Anyone can steal riches from another person but they don’t always see or notice something is missing. But they would miss their lamp if they had no light and I’m always missing milk. My neighbor can miss hers a little while instead. “ She added with a smile. “ Oh well I hope I’m bouncing around like a pinball machine.. I’m not sure. I’m not particularly good with this whole meeting people thing”
witheredwarren:
Central Park was buzzing with life today, the warm weather practically forced people out the door so they could enjoy it. Just in case the weather turned again. Spring and Winter seemed to be raging a war this time of year, and the crisp breeze proved winter hadn’t fully lost yet. Perched on a bench with a travel mug in hand, Aerith pushed her sunglasses up the bridge of her nose. People watching had always been a hobby of hers but in New York there was so much more to see then back home. And it offered just as many eyes to see them with. Leaning back against the seat, she caught the eye of one of her companions. The black bird was peering out from behind the branches, watching the same way she was.
Lowering her gaze she took a sip of her tea as she watched the other approach, greeting them with an easy smile of acknowledgement. “Good morning.”
Ramsey couldn’t sleep. It happened often when it came to her long nights and her brain being unable to process a lot of thing’s. She didn’t really know how to deal with a lot of her thoughts so she used painting and art as an excuse but tonight was not working. It was why she was up so early. She had never actually gone to be bed. She decided it was best to find coffee or food, and cut through central park before stopping in her tracks at the sound of a voice. “ Hmmm It is morning isn’t it? I never get a chance to great her anymore. It’s a warm reunion”
shira-rosen:
“Last minute? Yes, maybe. But you’re invited over to mine for Shabbat dinner! Seven o’clock! Text me with any questions, okay? Do you have my number? I just have to run. Got my challah in the oven! You’ll come, right? I’m trying to make it a weekly thing.” Shira pressed a hand to the other’s elbow, smiling hopefully.
“I have no idea what you just said but it sounds very exciting!” Ramsey smiled as she looked to the other woman. The talking had been so fast the hunter hadn’t really processed anything that had been said to her. “ I heard food so I can never say no to food. It’s a law”
claire-ofdavenport:
Claire’s anxiety had shot through the roof. She had been up all night reading various texts trying to find anything about the Ouroboros. There has to be some record of them in history whether they went by that name or other. She just needed to clear her head too many thoughts invaded her mind. Not realizing the time she stepped out for some fresh night air.
Late nights were a thing Ramsey did all the time. She couldn’t remember a time where she came home early from work. It was just one of those weird things where when you had a night job, seeing the sun rise when you wake up wasn’t an option. She turned the corner, still kind of buzzing over the night and say another blonde on the sidewalk and tilted her head at her almost like a curious puppy would. “ It’s very late. Meeting night time friends?” She asked with an easy smile
calxrhodes:
“You would think there’d be plenty of moving companies that 1. have a proper website. 2. have good reviews and 3. aren’t ridiculously overpriced. I mean come on. It’s a hundred for just the truck, ten an hour and it says the standard delivery crew is two, so really that’s twenty. Including rest time. I mean not to be cheap but.. Is this where it’s going? I might as well kidnap every strong person I know or bait them with dinner for a week. I’ll be spending just as much then, for sure.”
“Oh no. Never trust those. There are too many weird stories about being robbed by the movers and not just the prices” Ramsey nodded for a moment as she glanced towards Calypso. “ You could ask your family? They are rather strong?”
natalyasankara:
“I suppose I am a bit smiley,” Natalya agreed, shaking her head. She’d just received clearance to go back to work after an annoying long break. “Of course, your name. It is your work after all.”
“It’s so lovely. Never lose that. That is a wonderful commodity to have” Ramsey mused for a moment, before smiling back at the other woman. She was happy to see anyone smiling despite how crazy thing’s were lately. “ Oh? Well okay” She added before scribbling her name in the same haphazard way she drew. Ramsey pulled the paper from the sketch pad carefully though as she handed it over to her.
cyrus-hayes:
“Oh no, we can’t do that. They’d take us in for testing and all kinds of terrible things. Gotta keep it a secret between us, yeah?” The Basilisk replied, playing along and enjoying the bonkers conversation. It was a new person to study. New and interesting responses. Cyrus smiled and shook his head, “Didn’t hear a thing. What would you steal though? You know, hypothetically speaking?” He chuckled and took her hand shaking it as he subtly ran his tongue along his lower lip to get the scent of her, “Hello, Ramsey. I won’t forget you now.”
“Oh my and here I’ve tried so hard not to be a lab rat or on someone’s radar. I’m awful at running on those little wheel thing’s” Ramsey replied shaking her head. She was a little serious though about what she said. She never wanted to seek any help for what she had been through and her behavior. “ Oh depends on the house and what I’m missing at home. Could be something shiny, or a lamp or I don’t know maybe my milk expired. “ She smiled. “ Oh perfect. I like to be in someone’s memories. Floating around in there like smoke” She added as she shook his hand a moment before drawing it back to her
elisecoplen:
“What? Why? That’s illegal!” She was shocked Ramsey just admitted to that. She took her mirror back, her expression skeptical. “You’re welcome.”
“No, it isn’t. If you don’t get caught it never happened. “ She replied as if it were actual facts leaving her mouth. She was a bit of a magpie when it came to taking anything that took her fancy.
elioxalvarez:
“Well, he’s got a show in a few weeks actually.” Elio smiled and pat the front pocket of his coat as though feeling for something before chuckling, “guess I’m out of cards but it’s going to be in Chelsea–– Elio Alvarez,” he offered his name as a credential by which to search later on. “Do you have more character studies?” He nodded at her sketch book, “once the weather is warmer–– it’s what I prefer. Studying people in their natural habitat.” Leaning back in his seat, Elio glanced out the window as people rushed by, “outdoor seating is good for that.”
“Does he? He must be very excited about it” She replied almost forgetting that the person in question was in front of her that they were talking about. “ It’s okay. Their face can be the card. I’ll remember it “ She added before nodded at the name. Now she had a name to the face and she wanted to draw it as soon as she got back home. “ Yes. Everywhere. Even at work, though I think drawing exotic dancers is frowned upon in some circles. All dancing is beautiful though” She mused a moment before glancing out the window with him. “Hmm. People seem happier when the sun is out longer”
natalyasankara:
“Really?” Natalya asked, genuinely surprised at the woman’s willingness to give up her art work. “That’d be wonderful. But only under two conditions: One, you’re absolutely positive and two, you sign the bottom,” she grinned, brightly.
“Yes, of course. You seem smiley over it and that makes me happy too “ Ramsey said in a somewhat dreamy voice. She didn’t always get people thinking what she did in life was ever special. This was eye opening and lovely for her. “ Yes to one. My name? to two” She asked a little surprised
kieranmurphyisgreat:
“Mostly I just get lost in thought or care too little and it winds up everywhere.” Usually it was his lack of care that produced colorful streaks on his face, hair, and clothing. “Sure, I’ll sit.” Shrugging, he didn’t have anything better to do so Kieran took the offered seat. “How long have you been painting?”
“ Oh well a beautiful mess still sounds lovely. “ She mused as she thought about how much of a disaster her apartment was, but how she also found it very beautiful to be part of. “ Oh a while. It was there when friends were not”
on-pointe-disaster:
Aalis just chuckled at what Ramsey said to her before shrugging a little. Truth be told she admired the woman for being able to do something like that; she certainly couldn’t do it. “Oh well, if you are able to do that,” she smiled.
Ramsey stared at Aalis a moment as she evaluated what the other woman had said. “able to?” She muttered before an easy smile fell on her face. “No no outside force in the atmosphere is preventing me from giving you a gift and if it was I think I would push against it”
