"Anything at this point, Hunter. What did you have in mind?"
“Fine, no more beating around the bush. There’s booze, or there’s Cards Against Humanity. Or there’s both. I wouldn’t object.”

"Anything at this point, Hunter. What did you have in mind?"
“Fine, no more beating around the bush. There’s booze, or there’s Cards Against Humanity. Or there’s both. I wouldn’t object.”
"Anything at this point, Hunter. What did you have in mind?"
“Oh, no no no. You’re defining the parameters before you consider me a freak because of what I consider fun.”
"Well, now that I’m grounded you could at least entertain me. You’ve got to have something up your sleeves.”
"Depends on what you'd consider entertainment."
"Lemme let you in on a little secret - that ain’t coffee.”
"Chill out with the hipster pretentiousness. I just need the caffeine."
Jamie chuckled softly, “Keep thinking whatever helps you sleep at night, Gear.” Rolling his eyes, he continued in a mumble. “You will anyway.”
Hunter, who was driven to be as cheerful as possible during large gatherings — they did, in effect, make her feel less alone — was far more aggravated by Jamie's antics than usual by default. "I will...what? Sorry, can you speak up? You're mumbling a bit — I hear that's a sign of poor manners and impropriety."
"Please. I just seen people making out in exchange for drinks. I think flirting is going downhill. Your charms might be the only thing that can save some of the kids around here.”
"Geez — that's quite the compliment."
"You’d be the only one, Gear. Girl’s nowadays eat that shit up."
"No guy is worth a wardrobe malfunction a hefty dry cleaning bill, Nevins — despite what you think."
"I’d honestly love to hear what you’d do differently. Though, I agree, it’s a pathetic attempt but if anyone can give them guidance in flirting, it’s you."
"Anything but that, most likely. I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I have my charms."
"If that’s the best they got, they are totally doomed."
"I'd like to have faith in our species, but —" At that instant, the power went out, and Hunter felt the dread begin coursing through her veins almost immediately. Shit. Hallie was one of the girls she was meant to kiss.
"Alright, just saw someone spill their drink on a girl's dress as a means of starting a conversation. I fear for the future of the art of flirting."
Hunter Gear is the romantic. Hunter is eighteen years old. She looks a lot like Shay Mitchell and she is an taken role.
“I don’t want good, I don’t want good enough. I want ‘can’t-sleep-can’t-breathe-without-you’ love.”
+ flirty, compassionate, empathetic. - lonely, depressed, fake.
| Personality
Despite being kicked out by her parents, Hunter chooses to be a happy person on a daily basis. She doesn’t mind people calling her names that much, though it does get her down on occasion, Hunter always forces a smile on her face and has decided to bring the life to the party herself if other people won’t. Hunter is also a hopeless romantic; in every sense of the phrase. She adores romance novels and movies and if she can hook two people up, she’ll be happy for weeks. It’s just part of her nature to wish romance on everyone. Anyone who has met her knows that within seconds Hunter can name five people that would totally look great with them, and will set anyone and everyone up on a blind date if you don’t stop her. She’s also a huge flirt and enjoys flirting with straight girls, just to see them blush.
Hunter is not perfect, and she will be the first one to admit that she struggles with the way people look at her and the lack of response from her mother. There are a lot of days that Hunter spends locked in her room, not wanting to come out or talk to anyone. There are times when she decides that she would rather be alone than spend time with people. When she is around people, Hunter can cope, but when she is alone, she gets very depressed and talks herself in circles. She would never hurt herself, but she does call herself some awful names. When she is in a fowl mood and around people, Hunter tends to stay quiet, afraid she’ll say something mean or reveal how lonely she truly is.
| Background
Every family has their own struggle. The Gear family had just one: Hunter. Ever since she was little, she had been showing signs of being something her parents didn’t want. It wasn’t just the fact that she chose boy clothes over girl clothes and played with boy toys, they could deal with that. But Hunter always seemed to have crushes on girls, telling her parents that the princesses in movies were pretty and she’d rather marry them than the princes. It drove her parents insane and they put her in therapy when she was nine. The therapist, though, was supportive of Hunter’s decision and her blatant sexuality and agreed to keep it a secret from her parents. When she was fourteen, Hunter got herself her first girlfriend and brought the girl home to meet her parents, who quickly marched her out the door. Then Hunter’s mother spent an hour shouting at her, telling her was disrespectful and what she was doing was wrong, Hunter had to disagree, though, and her mother was shocked by the outburst.
It wasn’t long after that when her parents sent her to Anderson, telling her that they couldn’t deal with her. Her mother was the one who was really upset about it, though, and refused to ever call or answer Hunter in anyway. Hunter’s father, though, responded to every text and every call. He told her that he loved her often and even visited the school every once in a while. Although they sent her away, Hunter has a feeling her father accepts her, even if her mother never will. Over the years at Anderson, there was a bit of homophobia, but not enough to make Hunter run away and stick her head in the dirt. Hunter walks with her head high and with a brilliant smile. She loves Anderson, and all the parties and people that came with it. It was at Anderson where she learned how to kiss a girl and how to flirt with them. She enjoyed being accepted and couldn’t get enough of the lifestyle, even if some people were terrible.
| Relationships
Is best friends with Freddie Parker and is embarrassed that she kissed her at a party. There is no one in the world Hunter would rather have by her side and while she loved kissing her, Hunter knows Freddie is straight and there is no way she’s going to fall for a straight girl.
Was one of the only people to latch onto Blake Carr after his grandfather died. She forced her way into his friendship circle, constantly sitting next to him in classes and during lunch periods. It wasn’t long before he gave into her charm.
Thinks Bel Frost is cute and likes to flirt with the girl, even if she’s obviously in love with Hallie.
Slightly frightened of Jamie Nevins and Mickey Hudson but still stands up to them when she gets the chance. They’ve twisted her arm several times for speaking out against their cruel treatment.
Friends with Shane Morrison and Kyra Fitch.
| Important
Was brought to the Academy, because her interest and understanding of other people’s emotions and how they correlate with others; shows good leadership skills and loyalty.
All alone! Whether you like it or not, alone is something you'll be quite a lot! | Anderson.
