she closes her eyes, a display of relaxation far realer than the way that she truly felt. (& what she truly felt was what she always felt: caution, anger—and something new. curiosity.) takes a sip of her wine, fire bubbling lowly in her veins, beneath the surface of her heated skin. she wanted to breathe it out, to attack her guest with the true rage & flame of a dragon — but she did not, would not.
❝ how is this for a reason: you should be grateful that i have not killed you yet. ❞
"You haven't killed me, dear, because you have no reason to do so. I believe that's a simple enough reason."
Her tone almost emotionless as she spoke, because despite her arrogance, even Jayne knew her limits. She knew not to flare the temper of an individual that could transform themselves into a dragon. But that didn't mean that she didn't have more questions. Like, for what reason was her sister no longer in this realm? She presumed that the woman before her knew the answer to such.
Fact: Three Vic’s are better than one. PS #Cruella returns this Sunday!!! #victoriasmurfit #ouat #devildarlings #cruelladevil #queensofdarkness #oncers
you may think im an asshole but as soon as you get to know me you realize that first impressions are right and i am an asshole
she drags herself upwards, each movement joining lithely with one another, a languid kind of grace. once she is standing she steps across the room, leaving a wide space between herself and the other woman. she pours herself a glass of wine, fingertips coiled sturdily around the decanter. she pauses, and then turns without pouring a second— maleficent does not like unwelcome guests, after all— and returns to the chaise, gaze trailing lazily over jayne’s form.
❝ mm. i’m sure. you do not need to trust me. your approval or lack thereof hardly matters to me, after all, but you did come here for answers, did you not? i am merely giving you those answers. you should be grateful. ❞
a look of utter disdain crosses jayne's usually stoic features as her crystalline gaze follows the other across the room. and, no. it's not because there was no offer of a drink. the huntress was hardly that petty. but at the answer she gaze in response to her own words. true, she'd come here looking for answers, yet it seemed that she was leaving with more questions than when she'd first entered.
'grateful? i've more questions than when i first arrived. you've given me no such answer that is of any use. why would i be grateful?"
maleficent frowns at the other, as though disapproving of the given question. she did not entirely, of course — it was a wise question, but not one that she would necessarily answer. she looks at the woman for a time longer than needed, as though determined to memorize every detail of her face — or, of course, to stall her reply. eventually, she turns her head and her gaze away.
❝ i have my ways, dear, which are not yours to know. you have asked your questions. now, i shall ask mine. why are you searching for her? ❞
she knew the question had been coming, for she couldn't break into the others home without expecting questioning in return. the answer was so simple, yet, jayne knew she had ways of skirting around it. if she could leave here without the dragon knowing that cruella was her sister, it would be an achievement in itself, despite the likelihood of it happening appearing to the huntress as almost nonexistent.
"and i'm just meant to trust you? trust that she's gone? my reasons are my own, although, i can assure you that NO harm was ever meant to become of her."
Cerberus found himself watching the blonde at his side. She was fairly pretty and he had never seen this woman before, though he just wanted to see exactly who and why she was here in this area. Did the wolf rumors bring her here? Cerberus would have to start being very careful about letting the wolf come out to play more.
"I’m from the States, moved here to take over my uncle’s farm after he passed.”
Hopefully that would keep her off his tail for a bit longer, until he could sale his Uncle’s farm and leave again.
Dark hue turned towards the man, an almost animalistic look over came him as he eyed the man. If he kept that up the wolf would make sure to hunt him down on the next full moon. He inhaled the man’s scent before turning back to the blonde woman. “Ya sure know how to handle yourself, you’ll need it ‘round this bar, Darlin’.”
A mere hum passed the huntresses lips at his response, which, of course, she had no INTENTIONS of believing. Albeit, she'd allow him to think so, because whilst this man was no abomination of the undead, there may be a time when the information she drew from him would be worthwhile. And whilst his concern may be with the watchful eyes of the local brutes, she wasn't here for that, she was here for the two nosferatu that skulked in shadows of the run down establishment.
"And what, may I ask, makes this bar any different from the rest?" she mused, her nonchalant tone meandering around the question. "It would be unwise to doubt my ability to handle myself against anything" again, she made no move to look towards the AMERICAN, her gaze making sure that she kept her targets within view in case they decided that they'd try to make a move.
Yet, it was only when they did, that a smirk pulled against her blood red lips. Finally, the moment she'd been waiting for since she'd deigned to sit in this ghastly public house. Extracting herself from her seat, she cast a look back towards the blonde, she had no time to waste with explanations, she merely hoped that he chose NOT to follow her.
Reblog this is you’ve seen the HBO series True Blood
I really need more people to RP with, and since the True Blood fandom is really small I’m looking to other fandoms. SO reblog this if you’ve seen True Blood, and I’ll check out your blog and possibly follow you.

maleficent tilts her head, observing the woman’s reaction. a spark of curiosity lit somewhere deep inside of her. this was not the way a potential enemy of cruella’s would have reacted, and that was what maleficent had assumed; an enemy, for cruella had fewer friends than she did people who would have liked to see her head on a pike.
❝ she is gone, and that is the truth. she may still be alive, but she is no longer in this land. i would know if she was. ❞
a part of her still wanted to believe that maleficent was lying, yet the more rational side of her knew that this woman had no reason to lie to her. she would gain nothing from not telling her where cruella was, or rather, wasn't. and it was with a nod of her head that she took a pace backwards, slender arms folding across the expanse of her chest before she found her voice once again.
❝ and how exactly do you know that she's gone? how does one know that somebody is no longer a part of this land? ❞

jayne was sure that the shock that currently resided upon her features wasn't in any way FLATTERING.of course she'd heard tale of the woman whom draped herself in fur, yet, until today, she'd not once seen her in person. albeit, now that she had, she was sure the meeting between the two would only raise further questions than it answers. but it wasn't her overly bold f ashion choices that shocked the hunt- ress, no. it was the striking resemblance she bore to herself that startled the usually STOIC featured woman.
however, mentally stepping from her REVERIE, the blonde paced forward, her crystalline gaze re- maining focused on the ELEGANTLY adorned ball- room before her. albeit, when the words finally passed rouged lips, they did so in her usual honeyed drawl, her OBVIOUS arrogance clearly on display.
'i believe the invitation stated no animals, dear.'

"Now, if only I believed any of your words it may have given me a small fright." However, she held no need to waste time with this one. Not when her eyes and her fangs revealed themselves to her. The time to converse was over and as her eyes bled red, she simply hissed out a warning to her. "Time to dine." If the woman truly meant to slaughter her, The Countess would give her her money’s worth.
Finally, the moment the huntress had been looking forward to. The moment she finally had the chance to rid the world of another nosferatu abomination. The blades that she'd discretely hidden upon entering were within her grasp within seconds of the vermin bearing her fangs. "Or time to die" she countered, boldly taking a step forward, the smirk plastered across her features an obvious sign that she held no doubts about the outcome of this meeting.
maleficent halfheartedly flicks a hand in the direction of the fireplace, relaxing as the fire inside sparked and grew brighter. she exhales softly as soon as the other woman stops speaking. unwelcome guests rarely live for any longer than five minutes in her fortress—but something about this one has her intrigued.
❝ you will not find her, even with my help. she’s gone—perhaps dead. ❞
jayne had to resist the urge to swallow thickly at the dragon's words. she was lying. she had to be. cruella couldn't be gone, surely if such an event had happened, she'd have known about it. however, it was the gnawing doubt that clawed at the back of her mind that told her that maleficent could very well be telling the truth.
❝ dead? no. no, you're lying. and that’s a dangerous game, you know? ❞
