Real thing that changed how i write: I started asking "what does this character think is wrong with them" and separately "what is actually wrong with them." Those two things are almost never the same. She thinks she's too much. She's actually terrified of being too little. He thinks he's bad at commitment. He's actually just never met someone he trusted enough. The gap between their diagnosis of themselves and the real thing, that's your character arc right there. you don't have to explain it. just write both.

Now it looks like we are not content with the ending but I think that "they" are.

That little normal life perhaps was all they ever wished for all along. It's what they pretended to have at intervals. Having food like humans, going to theatres like humans, building a home, getting attached, trying to "love" like humans. Finally.

Free will is a tricky thing for beings like angels and demons. You don't really get to choose. And they only got one last choice at the end.

And they didn't choose to go back to the way it was to start over again. I don't know why. Maybe the torments of heaven and hell had been too much to work through. Maybe they didn't know any other way of living without the roles that were imposed on them. Maybe cause they thought that "everything has an end"

I don't know but I can tell that their final wish was granted. To be able to "choose" each other every time.

Guys, i just realised

You know that Aziraphale suggested that among all the blank books there must be one still accurate and that it must be the answer to their problems? There literally should be.

So all the books went blank because their authors never existed, right? The only living things were Aziraphale and Crowley.

Aziraphale writes a diary!

He has a whole collection of them!

Imagine the new Books of Life being his diaries that he wrote and kept from god knows when! Imagine Aziraphale and Crowley using their powers to recreate the universe as it was described by Aziraphale!

For me, this image could mean several things.

It could be a simple nod to our original Ineffable Husbands.

Or it could be another universe where they are once again an angel and a demon, but a new version, but with a happy end this time.

Or it could be another universe where they are simply the universe of the book Good Omens, with their lives continuing positively after the end (without seasons 2 and 3).

Or it could be another universe where our Ineffable Husbands made different choices (whether for the end of season 2 or season 3).

Or it could imply that one day our Ineffable Husbands will become themselves again with all their memories (of all the different universes).

And for me, all the universes we see could mean either that:

Firstly, God created all these universes at the same time and placed the souls of our Ineffable Husbands within them so she could see them evolve in different ways many times, because she couldn't imagine a universe without them (they must have entertained her immensely). And yes, even if all the universes were simultaneous, it would still be them each time. Firstly, because we know it's them thanks to the writers, because it's their love that endures in all its forms. But also because I don't know if you're familiar with the theory of alternate universes where there are other versions of you, but it implies you would inevitably be connected to them because it's still you, still your soul, but with different choices and context in other universes.

Or, secondly, God did indeed create a single new universe, but we see at the end all the other universes she will create, one after the other, each time the old one fades away. We see them all at the same time so that we, the viewers, can see what God has ultimately done/continues to do, and above all, how the love of our Ineffable Husbands will always endure, regardless of the new world that will eventually emerge. But also because we would simply be seeing the end from God's perspective. God, who is beyond time, knows everything about her own creation—past, present, and future. So instead of seeing a single universe with the others erased, we see them all at once, like she probably do, because time for her not really exist.

Why Asa is named like that :

First Asa in Hebrew means Doctor and Healer

BUT it also can be the nickname of the demon Azazel, WHO GAVE KNOWLEDGE TO HUMANITY (Asa is a former professor, and working at a bookshop. Cant be more explicit than that)

An Healer and doctor but also fallen angel, human incarnate

(Bonus point for some accent, when you pronounce A.Z. Fell, the A.Z. sounds like Asa)

I want to ask what they were thinking using a team of allocishet white men who specialize in dark fantasy and horror to write a queer comedy in 2026, but I suspect the reason is no one respectable would touch Neil Gaiman's work after we found out about his rapist history.

And it'd be nice if they gave a fuck, but they don't even care enough to watch it.

And now we know what was wrong with Good Omens 3, and I am so sorry for all of us it let down. Both the fans and creative team who loved it and did their best.

The fact that some people might look down on this simple human life makes me a bit sad. As if it's not enough. As if it's not something magical and fantastic already. As if Aziraphale and Crowley didn't fight for it for 6000 thousand years! To find each other despite all the odds. To live together, explore the world together, die together. To choose each other every time. That seems to be the whole point doesn't? Freedom to live and love. Even if it's a small life.

I supremely enjoyed the good omens finale, but I’m seeing a lot of people say they didn’t?

And I kind of get it but also I feel like the whole point of the ending they did was giving them what they, specifically Crowley always wanted for them.

A chance to live life to the fullest without anyone tugging the strings or threatening them with heavens wrath or hellfire. Just the chance for people to be people and love each other.

And then they got the chance to do just that!

Things are different and they are changed and going back to the way things were wouldn’t make anyone happier.

At the end of the day they found each other and they loved each other. That’s all I really wanted from the show, and even though it’s different it definitely wasn’t bad.
